Yet they are somewhere stupidly celebrating a supposedly 'bomb-free' Christmas if the end point of bombing is not destruction and death as we have been seeing throughout this Christmas season. From Zamfara to Yobe and now this! |
No bombs but cold blooded murders executed with precision by same terrorists... |
This APC government has no plan or regard for Education. See how strikes have paralysed our tertiary institutions at home. How will those on so-called scholarships be remembered then? |
UncleNnamdi:She also said the truth about his mother's breasts too so no lele |
Yet they have fulfilled all their promises! |
The United Kingdom has said there is a high threat of kidnap throughout Nigeria. It also warned its nationals against travelling to the North-East, citing that the security environment in the region deteriorated in 2018. Except it is really essential, the UK cautioned its citizens against travelling to Zamfara, Kaduna, Katsina and Kano states, among others. In its foreign travel advice as of December 24, 2018, the British government also observed that protests were becoming increasingly frequent in Abuja as the presidential election in February 2019 approaches. It predicted that terrorists were very likely to carry out attacks, especially in the North-East, where most attacks had occurred in the country. “The Islamic Movement in Nigeria continues to protest in central Abuja, which have been held daily since January 7, 2018. While protests are usually peaceful, they have the potential to turn violent,” the UK government said. “Terrorists are very likely to try to carry out attacks in Nigeria. Most attacks occur in the North-East, particularly in Borno, Yobe, Adamawa and Gombe states.” The UK also asked its nationals – 117,000 of whom visit Nigeria every year – to avoid places of worship, shopping malls, hotels, camps for displaced people, among others. It added, “There’s a high threat of kidnap throughout Nigeria. Kidnap can be motivated by criminality or terrorism, and could be carried out for financial or political gain.“The security environment in the North-East has deteriorated in 2018 and there is a heightened risk of kidnap. Kidnaps in the North-East have included humanitarian and private sector workers. “There are also reports that Boko Haram and the Islamic State West Africa (a faction of the sect) are continuing to actively plan to kidnap foreigners.” The Presidency had yet to respond to our correspondent’s request for comments, as calls to Mr Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to President Muhammadu Buhari, were not picked. https://punchng.com/uk-issues-travel-advisory-says-theres-high-threat-of-kidnap-throughout-nigeria/ |
BluntBoy:My reasons for mentioning GEJ are stated clearly. Read again: mushystuff:Then read yourself again: BluntBoy: |
BluntBoy:You already made allusions to him... BluntBoy: BluntBoy: |
Billionaire09:Exactly! |
BluntBoy:If u feel u can hail the supposedly good politics of the current administration as u claim they are trying, then u cannot complain when others point out the bad and dirty effects of the politics of same administration for which these young citizens and many others like the IPOB and Shiites have paid the ultimate price. The government and its security agencies failed them by being agents of war, death and destruction instead of security and peace. You should also be bold and honest enough to criticise illegality firmly and not try to ask why it's being 'politicised'. It is still u that started comparison with the previous administration yet somehow u feel it's not politics... |
BluntBoy:It may not be absolutely resolved in 4 years but 4 years is more than enough time to see definitive changes in that regard that citizens can actually testify to not just paper gist. Mind you that Jonathan was President for 5 years from 2010-2015 and it was like he had committed the greatest sin. There's not much difference between 4 n 5 years now is there? |
BluntBoy:And so that 'dead' relationship should be left to fester and continue to result in more deaths of innocent citizens? Is multi-tasking such a crime that he cannot boost their offensive against terrorists whilst upholding/preserving the rights and lived of citizens as he swore to do? Is that not why he has thousands of appointees to get things done simultaneously? |
BluntBoy:And who will or ought to orchestrate this overhaul if not the commander in chief? |
BluntBoy:Origin is not the issue. It is about what he has done to address the issues so that members of the public can feel the impact! According to you, Borno people and citizens generally lost faith in the Army and that resulted in a change of administration into the one we have today. If the current administration refuses to address and resolve issues it campaigned with and promised to 'Change' then the people reserve the right to call them out whether in a petty or mature fashion! The deaths at the hands of soldiers and general insecurity are too much for the niceties of trying to isolate who to blame and who not to. |
BluntBoy:And who is the call for a better police and refined or more professional Army to be directed to? The President or the masses? When Buhari exercised his statutory powers to appoint service chiefs and IG of police what was the story when people complained that he contravened the Federal Character principle? Was it not that he reserved the right to appoint those he was comfortable working with? These gross human rights violations are the handiwork of those he's comfortable with. He and the political party through which he emerged must therefore be called out and condemned! |
ngwoke93:That right there was sarcasm but you missed it... |
BluntBoy:And who has the constitutional powers to order the police and military around? If the appointees eg service chiefs are going beyond what ought to be their legal limits what is a good C-in-C supposed to do? Remove them or extend their tenures? What has happened and is happening today? You cannot divorce the actions of security agencies from politics in Nigeria no matter how hard u try. Certainly not when service chiefs attend political programs for re-election of the President (their appointor), the EFCC chair wears a Buhari 2019 lapel pin and CG of Customs is the Chairman of the Buhari Campaign Organisation. |
emmykk:What's the connection between this question and the fact that the Army that ought to protect citizens has turned their lethal weapons on already brutalized and deprived civilians? |
zinizta:Hold it right there! Every madness and illegality/wrongdoing should be roundly criticised and condemned at every point of its occurrence! It is just what it is? How can u even make such a statement? Is that what it should be? So because it appears that the Army is generally mad therefore no meaning should be read into it by victims even when it is as clear as day? Is that some kind of joke? |
So Buhari n co have no shame and still put up campaign posters despite their obvious failures? The Governor has long resigned his position as chief security officer of the state yet he keeps drawing security votes. Buhari is as clueless as ever and doesn't have the faintest inclination towards putting an end to the incessant bloodshed in Nigeria. Yet, when it is time for election they will enthrone the same set of blood-sucking, inept bastards and then keep protesting. May the souls of unfortunate victims rest in peace. |
Buhari is an uneducated, ignorant, ethnic/religious bigot and vengeful war monger. Healthy, sick, living or dead, there is nothing worthwhile he can achieve because it is simply not in him. Becoming president is his life-long dream which he has achieved and he has only come to plunder, steal and enthrone his religious proclivities without more, simple! stonemasonn: |
After all the many lies and propaganda this is what it has come to? I wonder what Ibe Kachikwu is still doing there as minister-in-name only...he should resign and hold up his honour rather than keep getting tainted with these dirty northern thieves and demons who will do everything to keep bleeding the country dry in the name of crude oil. When is Dangote coming on board with his refinery sef? |
And the maker of these threats will go freely without so much as an invitation or arrest. Let Nnamdi Kanu say he will destroy the zoo with the truth now they will remember hate speech and treason then send armoured tanks to do show of force with cowardly soldiers that can only attack unarmed civilians. |
Godblesspmb:Other transport lines that aren't owned or run by Igbos have also jacked prices. Who is their enemy please? |
dominique:Traffic is actually that bad and with really bad road conditions they can get stuck for 2 days. Don't forget the harassment every kilometer by uniformed thieves at checkpoints, return trips are mostly empty plus other incidentals. The costs are high but they can be understood. |
andyanders:All these yeye rants just because u love every opportunity to express ur hatred for ur betters abi? So Bob Izua, AKTC, Edo Line, Eagle Line n co that have also increased fares are Igbos too abi? You see simple and clear explanations, instead of trying to understand u quickly start foaming at d mouth (fingers) with epileptic fits of impotent hate...it can kill o! |
Calers:What's with the 'my bad is better than their bad' mentality please? So there's no need to be concerned at least until it gets as bad as 'Camden' abi? Since 'our' slum is 'better' than an American slum there is no cause alarm isn't it? Who did this to some of us in this shithole? |
![]() Governor, Governor! I can't even put the 'My'! Is he not going to be APC's Senatorial candidate? |
StOla:It is one coincidence too many, from Rear Admiral Ikoli in lagos to Gen Alkali in Plateau and now AVM Badeh en route Abuja, a whole former CDS and Chief of Air Staff? Yes, robbers have attacked ordinary citizens more so in recent times as buhari has no handle on security in totality in Nigeria. However, these are men who were integral to the security apparatus in Nigeria and are statutorily entitled to their own security at all times. This story is waaaaaay too convenient please. You see how impossible it was for EFCC to penetrate the former DSS and NIA bosses? That is how it should have been for Badeh and to an extent for retired senior military officers. What went wrong? IT IS NOT RANDOM ROBBERS THAT TOOK/STOLE NOTHING BUT ONLY KILLED AND DISAPPEARED. |
Open and watch. If you don't have data that's your headache. That is why they are addressed as 'Elite'. somehow: |
somehow:The video released by New York Times on the Army's heartless massacre of the Shiites shows clearly what detachment of soldiers carried out that evil operation on unarmed citizens. Find it and watch or see here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R6-6wV0agvs |
Is this the story now being peddled to make it look like it was some random occurrence and not cold-blooded assassination and murder? This cabal sabi work sha... |
