raumdeuter: Nigerian govt borrowing billions to pay salaries – Okonjo-Iweala
Minister of Finance, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, said the Federal Government has borrowed about N473billion to pay salaries and fund the 2015 budget.
The Minister, who was speaking in Abuja on the details of the N4.493trillion appropriation already passed by the National Assembly, said the federal government had to raise its borrowing level from N570 billion to N882 billion to enable it meet its financial obligations to workers and contractors.
https://www.premiumtimesng.com/business/182543-nigerian-govt-borrowing-billions-to-pay-salaries-okonjo-iweala.html And who is the overall king of borrowing between the former and present administration? Or is it because you have not heard that they are using such borrowed funds to pay salaries? |

Even Afe himself did not suggest that so what is this madness now? Na dem carry one-Nigeria for head yet when time reach na our Southern children dem go send to go die for north in the name of federal security forces fighting boko haram. |

May God punish all the enemies of Nigeria.[/quote]Yes o! May God punish the originators and sustainers of this terrible insecurity in Nigeria; all those who control state machinery for security and are lax in their duties along with their enablers/supporters, thunder from heaven fire and destroy them that they shall no longer see the light of day for they are enemies of Nigeria! PassingShot: No wahala. Let us all play politics with everything including loss of innocent lives through terrorism brought upon us by PDP.
Madam Oby has een tweeted into the presidential race and abandoned there. Let's hope the yeebos will vote for her and make her president. Terrorism brought upon us by PDP? You mean the name and the letters P-D-P or the members of the political party and appointees in the PDP era who are now proud, 'corruption-fighting', 'economy-growing' and 'insecurity-fixing' APC members today? What was APC campaign again? To blame the letters 'PDP' or fix Nigerian problems? It was certainly not to worsen the situation on ground which Buhari and his crew have effortlessly done! Somehow, Igbo matter will still keep u awake every night that is why you no longer see her as your BBOG champion. Well done! kufre2010: APC LOOTED NIGERIA FOR 18 YEARS.
Everytime APC and Buhari are saying 16ys of PDP but out of 24 APC governors today, 22 of them were members of the PDP that ruled for 14 years before the formation of APC in 2013 and Now adding another 4 years after taking power in 2015.
As if that is not enough 20 former PDP governors are now in APC and many of them with corruption cases, but PMB's corruption fight "no reach their side."
Current APC Governors that Migrated from PDP:
1. Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State was a PDP Senator.
2. Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State served as FCT minister under the PDP.
3. Governor Aminu Masari of Kastina State was a Former House of Representatives speaker under the PDP.
4. Governor Abubakar Bello of Niger State was a PDP Former Commissioner.
5. Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto was a Former PDP Speaker of the House of Representatives.
6. Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed of Kwara State was a Commissioner and Governor under PDP.
7. Governor Badaru Abubakar of Jigawa State was in PDP.
8. Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau state was also in PDP.
9. Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State was in PDP.
10. Governor Samuel Orthom of Benue State was a PDP Minister.
11. Governor Tanko Al-Makura of Nasarawa State was in PDP.
12. Governor Abubakar Bagudu of Kebbi State was a Former PDP Senator.
13. Governor Bindow Jubrilla of Adamawa State was a Former PDP Senator.
14. Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State was in PDP.
Former PDP Governors now in APC:
1. Aliyu Wammako -Sokoto 2. Rabiu Kwankwaso- Kano 3. Sai'du Dakingari -Kebbi 4 , Bukola Saraki - Kwara 5. Murtal Nyako- Adamawa 6. Rotimi Amaechi -Rivers 7. Temiprye Sylva - Bayelsa 8 . Sullivan Chime- Enugu 9. Obong Victor Attah- Akwa-Ibom 10. Chris Ngige - Anambra 11. Joshua Dariye -Plateau 12. George Akume -Benue 13. Adamu Abdullahi - Nasarawa 14. Orji Uzor Kalu- Abia 15. Oserheimen Osunbor- Edo 16. Segun Oni -Ekiti 17. Alao Akala- Oyo 18. Danjuma Goje- Gombe 19. Olagunsoye Oyinlola -Osun 20. Garba Umar- Taraba
Do you also know that:
1. The first and current APC Senate President was in PDP?
2. The first APC Speaker of the House of Representatives was also in PDP?
3. Three out of five former Speakers of the House of Representatives under PDP are now in APC?
3. A former PDP senate president is also in APC?
4. Two former national Chairmen of PDP are also now in APC?
5. Thousands of current APC legislators at both state and national levels were in PDP?
6. Hundreds of current APC ministers and commissioners today were in PDP?
7. Thousands of other former PDP leaders and members including former ministers, legislators, commissioners, etc are now in APC?
Now who are the PDP members that APC keeps referring to that looted the nation's treasury for sixteen years?
Anybody who says PDP members looted the nation's treasury and are therefore corrupt is distorting the facts and therefore a shameless / barefaced liar, innately corrupt, fraudulent, self-centred, deceptive, wicked, broad day robber, oppressive and has no decency and humanity in them.
Are these the kind of people that should rule a nation? |

The governor, who spoke an at extraordinary security meeting at Government House, Maiduguri, to discuss the worsening security situation in the state, attended by traditional rulers, security chiefs, Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, and other stakeholders, said:“...For seven years, we held our regular security council meetings...However, I never for once convened an extraordinary meeting of this nature because, frankly speaking, I was avoiding a sort of dramatisation or being sensational about our challenges in Borno State...The reality is that while so much was achieved by our gallant military men and women, we are today faced with serious challenges in Borno State." madridguy: If you will be factual with yourself then you will know the last administration created all this problem. Nigeria is not an islamic society and the revelation by Aisha is not some domestic squabble, it is a national issue that goes to the root of governance and the well-being of all Nigerian citizens! The failure of the President and his cabinet to provide good and effective governance affects all citizens irrespective of ethnic and religious divides so if the president has abdicated his duties to unknown persons who have subjected the masses to the level of hardship being experienced today, we have a right to know! She also has the right to make her position known on the true state of affairs of the country.
This kind of close-minded reasoning is what informs the need for restructuring or outright separation because a particular set of people think that their religion is more superior to the Constitution(yet they hate the Shiites whilst being gulity of same issue) and therefore expect the president and wife to be guided by the tenets of islam on issues of governance rather than the Constitution that makes it clear that this is a secular country without any state religion whatsoever! Religion is personal to any adherent and must remain separate from the government! |
