Wow my passport is now stamped!
May God bless the VO, consulate of the Federal Republic of Germany for supporting my dreams and career.

Also my sincere gratitude goes down to everyone herein who might have contributed directly or indirectly towards this achievement. May God continue to dwell in us that endurance spirit as you all await German waka testimony!

Congratulations. I'm manifesting mine too. How long did it take for your passport to be returned to you?

Good morning. Please any new appointment date this week for people that applied November 2021?

So we can track how it's going right now.

You may be right. I sent an email and I was told that they still give out dates, but they're sorry for not offering more dates due to limited capacity. I feel they may have halted for a while. This month makes it one year of waiting for more. To be honest, it's been stressful but the stress has reduced now. I've also picked up new skills while waiting so in the long run, one could be grateful while waiting.

There's still hope. Faith and patience is really of the essence in these things.
Viel Erfolg!

We just have to be optimistic. This month also makes it over one year and i haven't still gotten a date but i believe i will soon

Please house, has anyone gotten an interview date yet?

I heard the embassy have suspended giving out interview date and appointment mail for now. Those who have done their interview already have been waiting for 8 weeks now, no response.

I don't know how true is this.
If you have been given an appointment, it won't hurt to help rejuvenate the faith of others now. Share with us

Source please?

I went for my interview today. And these are what I have for those who are having theirs soon:

1. If you book for master’s category B you can conveniently appear with bachelor admission. They don’t care.

2. Make sure you are prepared to convince the visa officer why the programme? Why the school? Why Germany?

3. If you have a master’s already please don’t present it again if you are going for bachelor or master’s degrees.

4. Arrange all your documents

5. Print your appointment mail

6. Go there on time (before 7:30am)

7. The current visa fee is 32,000 naira

8. Don’t be tensed

Please can you give us a list of documents you took? And can i reach out to you personally? Best of luck

Based on your advice, can I go ahead and book now or wait till April? I haven't gotten an admission letter yet. I've just recently started my school application.

You should. I’ll advice you apply ahead of time. Getting the admission is not really the problem now, get an AD is the issue. Except you can join the online classes where it would still make sense if you booked ahead.

I applied this September ahead to get a date next year. Hope the system reset won’t affect me for next year.

I will be very consise and I will entertain few questions
I applied for free to Ruhr University bochum and I got admission for a masters course in cognitive science on the 1st of September 2020.
Applied for visa interview under category B
I blocked my account October 9 2020
Started online courses October 15 2021
Followed up closely, did exams and assignments and gathered some credit points.
Paid every semester fee 345€ per semester
I waited and waited and in that time I could count like 10 people who tried to scam me.
I read so many discouraging things here. People here that talk the most have no experience and they are often wrong.
April 2021  came and the reset happened, I reapplied but something kept telling me this wasn't the way I was gonna get visa.
I prayed, I broke chains of limitations, I fasted, I held on to my belief and one day it occurred to me to mail my course director and talk to him about it. I spoke with him and he made it clear that they cannot influence the embassy. Before we ended the zoom call I pitched the idea that if I had a scholarship it would change my status and I will be given priority status. That moment he told me that there's a scholarship fund for international students due to covid. He asked me to check if I'm eligible, long story short I applied with the following documents
Transcript (featuring credit points I gathered from online classes)
Motivation letter (might share this later)
And recommendation from a lecturer (did well in a few courses so that wasn't so difficult. I just mailed the professor and introduced myself and remembered me)

First week of October I received the scholarship letter.
Switched to category A and interview was for 25th of October

Interview day I got there and met a guy in the compound Mr Tony and he helped my arrange and photocopy all the necessary documents. He seemed to be an expert at this german student waka. I will drop his number on request.
Got to the embassy gate, net paulinus who was being very curt with everyone but when it got to me, he just seemed to mellow down and since I didn't make any silly mistakes with my documents there was no need for animosity.

Visa interview was very straightforward.
In the waiting room there are paintings, stand up and look at them, they have all the 16 German states but if you don't look closely you won't see it.  I stood up to drink water from the dispenser and took a closer look.

Interview questions
What do you know about German politics ?
What do you know about its economy ?
What do you know of its Geography?
What was your research project on?
Why Germany?
Can you speak the language (a plain no is fine. Don't lie sorry sat a little).
While she was asking these questions she was taking my information and we were doing biometrics so you just have to keep talking even if she isn't looking at you.

Dec 5 AM
Dec 17 visum

3 tips
Stick to your online school if you can
Pray
Keep getting more accurate information and don't be discouraged by naysayers.

Can you drop Mr Tony’s number.
And what are the necessary documents you brought.

Ezemeiyogu:

Did you reapply for AD since your first application since last year?
I'm studying online since October this year. I did make my first application in June this year bit I cancelled and reapplied again in September 1. After the reapplication, I started receiving advice not to ever cancel again. Omor, I dey confused like this o

I don’t think it’s advisable to cancel. I applied around September, I didn’t get a date so I cancelled. Now I have to apply again ahead of my next admission.
