I am in the UK. Construction management is not bad, if you look at all of this courses, you will discover that the modules are very similar to each other. What is the prospect of getting a good job in nigeria as i am interested in coming if i can get something good.

Are you working at the moment. As for your masters, it depends on your area of interest but most people go for construction project management and construction management. there are also others like Msc Construction Law and practice, Msc Facilities Management, Msc QS, Msc QS (Mechanical and Electrical). Like I said ealier it depends on your area of interest.

my advice

stick with thesame information you gave them in the first application. its better than them discovering it and you are banned for 10 years from applying for UK visa. (my opinion)

From my little experience, it depends on the person coming to your house.
I normally allow my former colleagues to stay with me
whenever they are around and i never asked them for a dime.

People back home too needs to change their orientation concerning people in the UK
There are lots of things i use to do then that i cannot afford to do again
People just have to change and adapt to their new environment.
As per UK people been stingy, i believe you can only give what you have

Personally, i have gained a lot from nairaland.
I got 2 different Jobs through nairaland, even though i did not do them
and my present location was due to the information i got on nairaland.

In summary, i think its a good place to seek information
it now depends on individual how they use those information.

you will definitely do x - ray at the airport if you are coming to UK to study for more than 6 months.

apart from that one i am not aware of any other test.

Like @Vor said you need to provide adequate information before you can get the advice you need.

But if you are coming to UK, i will advice you to hold your admission letter and let the school know you are coming that day.

about accommodation, i think its reasonable if you take the school hostel first because you might be a victim of inexperience like a friend of mine that
took a very expensive house just because he needs to get a place to put his luggage.

He ended up taking a very expensive place and they made him sign a 12 months agreement which is binding.

so be careful.

i just read your post now and i discovered that your case is similar to mine.

i was refused twice too and i tried to renew my visiting visa which they also refused.

i later got the visa through appeal.

i have seen somebody that paid £9000 and still was refused entry visa, i will just advise you to wait for the outcome of your appeal
but if you want to try your luck again, there is no harm in trying.

how do you clear your salary (i mean the cheque you collect fom your office as salary)?
dont you have a bank account?
apart from your sister's fixed deposit, did you submitt her statement too?

with my little experience i am not too sure that those peeps in the high comission normally look at fixed deposit as an acceptable proof of fund because i submitted a fixed deposit certificate of about 160Million naira during my own time and they did not reckon with it at all.

i was once in your position February this year but i later got it.

what i did was that i sent a letter to the second secreatary immigration at the BDHC telling him about my problem. included in the letter is my admission letter and a copy of my appeal determination and i was called on the 4th day to come to the embassy to collect my visa.

if you check this tread very well you will see my post there when i told the house about my sucess both in the appeal and in the embassy.

There is no way a Teller in Nigeria will not over pay customers
even the so called experience ones
unless you are working in a bank where you service only 50 customers a day
remember there are some banks that is always a mad house
because its always filled up with customers

i was once a teller and i must tell you i paid shortages
but i also return overages
there are times i took them to the customer's house too
also there are times when custmers return my shortages to me
even after i have paid them.

The most important thing is that its good to return overpayment
because such money will cost an innocent peron a lot
and who knows you might also end up in the bank later.

Arsenal without Thierry Henry has always been a good club

as for Henry been sold cheap, i dont ant to believe tha because he is 29 yrs already

rather you get what they want to give you.

on customer service, pls dont blame those guys there
how can you expect somebody to be happy
when you pay such person peanuts at the end of the month

the services cannot be improved

i tell you if UBA can improve there staf welfare

all i will advice you to do is that you should keep calling AIT to find out the status and dont forget to fax them any other documents that can help your appeal process.

the only thing i will tell you its that you should keep searching and dont expect an office work

try restaurant,labour work, mainly unskilled work

also you should be able to get care work

all you need to do is get a valid letter of offer from your school and go there

please go through this thread and see how i went about my own case because thesame thing happened to me although mine was even less than a month to be granted after writing a letter to the second secreatary immigration.

let your sister write the second secreatary immigration at the BHC like i did, i hope it works for her. sorry i have not responded to you i have been busy with assignments recently.
