I do not know why people generalized job challenge in the UK. I entered last yeah September and got IT job in less then 2weeks!. It's my first interview in England and I received success message before I even got back home on the interview date.

This has never happened in all interviews I have attended back in Naija!

First of all, I am not a student. I asked that question for a student in Manchester in October. I’m in greater Manchester (not going to disclose my exact city). Like someone also replied on the comment I posted, except a person is lazy or not ready to work, there are menial, blue collar and white collar jobs. The only thing I can say is if a student is coming here with the idea of paying off their fees with 20 hours work, such person should dead the idea right away. It can’t work.

My advice is for anyone coming now to hold enough cash.. House rent for 4 months at least, foods for 4 months at least plus extra cash.
Those days of seeing jobs on arrival or just few weeks are over. Now it takes an average of 3 months upwards to land a job.

And finally don't equal yourself with those that have been here for let's say 2 years.. Those can see job faster than new arrivals cos they can show the employer past UK experience which is valuable in job market. An example is in care sector. If you don't have experience now... It takes Miracle to land a job as dormicilliary care assistant

We need to sound this loud so people don't come and be stranded.

I arrived early October and by God’s grace I have worked at least 3jobs. I am still working two. If you want jobs you’d find jobs. There are jobs. I didn’t use upto 3weeks before I started working. Keep your opinions to yourself please and stop generalising with the experience(s) you have had with people in your space. If you are new here, simply talk to people who have been here, they’d put you through. Don’t be an island.

These would do. My marriage was 2months old when I applied. We got our visas in 6days (standard). Just do well to arrange the pictures, WhatsApp chats, bank statements in different pdf files, from 2020-2023. You won’t have any problem. Make sure to add wedding pictures too.

It is not all cases that require interview. Sometimes the nsf is just to buy more processing time or request for more documents from the applicant. It’s not necessarily followed by an interview invite.

The direct flight to London from Lagos using British Airways is $1100, my wife and twins can't travel alone Co the children are still underage, they need two adults and since my wife is one adult, I need another adult that is traveling to UK that same day to follow them.

Then the person can bring $1000 of his or her flight ticket and I will complete the payment for him or her since the total flight fare for my wife, an adult and 2 kids is $2389.

All the documents you need are listed on the website. Proof of funds for both of you, evidence to show your marriage is not an arranged one, CAS of the MA, etc.

I flew KLM recently. Total cost of the transit visa was a little over 50k. There’s VFS fees, one admin cost then UPS (courier) fees. Did mine in Lagos and it took about 4 days
