This virus have permeates across the length and breadth of this country. NCDC is just throwing out the numbers out slowing to avoid mass panic. We are done for, our govt is the true reflection of us. Like followers like leaders.
every government does that...UK cases are about 5k+ but their health services estimates about 20k+ in the population...US is about 80K+ and experts will tell you the real numbers are twice that...the truth is thousands have it and some don't show symptoms and you can't take a test when you feel well...what UK wanted to establish is herd immunity...it is now obvious that about 50%+ of the world will get it. So why not see that happen then with recoveries the society develops immunity... Same thing that happened to flu...a huge percentage of the population will surely have it, it is inevitable... Moreover since December many might have even recovered before the Covid-19 was even known....first case was traced to November last year...some research is even saying this covid-19 might not even be worse than flu that kills 500,000 every year

So I expect Buhari to credit every Nigerian Atleast N100k through their BVN as a stimulus package to ease the suffering and frustration that comes with the "Sit at home order' like other leaders in the rest of the world are doing for their citizens .

But this is Nigeria where the president of the day got more interest and love for cows and his household only

I think the question everyone will like to have answered is ‘ How did you recover from the virus?
people recover from the virus, about 80%+...the problem is many don't read. Infected persons recover

patients recover with proper care....what happens is drugs are used to controls symptoms while your immune system fights the virus...with time you recover but the old and very sick do have severe cases because their case usually leads to pneumonia which is the primary thing that kills them....of the 280,000+ cases world wide about 100,000+ cases have recovered and counting ...so all those joke of amala or whatever is just people that don't understand well...viruses usually dont have cures, drugs are usually used to control symptoms why your body fights the virus....what they try to get in virus cases are vaccines which enable the individual to build immunity against the virus

When you recover you test negative...

10% of positive cases need icu you are wrong. This disease presents as chronic pneumonia and it doesn't take long before the main and accessory respiratory organs give up and patient will require intubation. I am not wishing the young man death but my annoyance is that we could have done better. Italy is overwhelmed because they have just 7k icu beds nationwide and had to ration the intubation process for the sick and hence the number of casualties.
oga most people don't show symptoms and mainly mild symptoms if any.it is only the severe cases that gets to pneumonia and the pneumonia is what kills the severe cases. Mostly the old and those with underlying health issues are more vulnerable for their condition to get severe then critical...there are many, mostly the young and healthy that show little or no symptoms... But the idea is these are the ones that spread it because they don't know they have it. Check the stats of Italy deaths...The average age of deaths in Italy is 81 years...In US is 80 years ...in China was 70+ years... The Atiku son will be very much fine and you will hear his discharge in 2-3 weeks time

That hospital is nonexistent. Your son needs icu to even survive this virus and the icu beds in this country is not up to 50 because u and other people like you in leadership never thought a day like this would come. That's why all the funds that should have been used to beef up our Healthcare u used to buy houses in dubai. This your ison may be worth not less than 100m$ of national treasury and he never thought it wise to buy his perosnal ICU bed incase of events like this. Nobody saw it coming. Truth is your son has 96% chances of dying and you should get tested too. The poor you all have neglected over the years are praying to their gods for help some are praying to the sky. God help us
His son is likely stable and one of the 85% that shows no symptoms or mild flu symptoms and will recover in some few weeks time, that's test negative... Only about 10% need ICU care...

Bro, do we have the equipment to handle those 15 or 20%?
If a quarter of Nigeria gets infected, that's 50M people. 15% of 50M is 7.5M people. Even 5% of 50M is 2.5M people.

Do we have capacity to take care of 2.5M people?

What we need to do is emergency crowdfunding to import equipment directly from China. Then everyone stays the Bleep at home.
endemics/pandemics do have a peak before the curve flattens and it won't reach those numbers...you talk of crowd funding, how will you do that ?..A whole US has 170, 000 ventilators and there is a shortage in the world...There are people that eat because of the streets, people that their survival lies on what they hustle every day on the streets, people that earn money and feed and carter for their children because of what they do like businesses....so if everyone stays at home, what will become of these people...food,money etc...who will aid them...this is not US or UK that are giving a certain money to all at home, you know that can't happen here and our economy is not robust

My goodness, coronavirus is not a death sentence, if one is untreated within 3 months, that person is most likely to die

The question was between HIV and Coronavirus which is more fatal and I said coronavirus not undermining the fact that it can be treated

It is only fatal when untreated and f the patient have underlying illness

Please don't get me wrong
About 80% show mild symptoms or no symptoms and recover well...about 20-15% cases become severe...these 15% cases are the cases that now needs the respirator. And 5% of these 15% cases gets critical majorly due to the pneumonia it causes in the severe cases. Now must people cases that become severe are mostly the very old or those with underlying issues like diabetes, cancer etc...so i don't understand your statement of someone dying within 3 months

speaktome:
The only Nigerian State mentioned in Bible 30 times in these places.

The Bible was translated mainly from Hebrew and Greek.

Abia is the Greek word for the Hebrew word : 'Abijah', 'Abijam', 'Abiyyah', 'Abiyyah', ''Abiyyahu'.

Abia means “Yahweh Is My Father” or "My Father is Lord".

Abia is the name of an Eastern State in Nigeria created in the year 1991 from part of Imo State.

It is an Igbo Land whose Capital is Umuahia, and the major commercial city is Aba.

Let us see these 30 places in the Bible.

1 Samuel 8:2

Now the name of his firstborn was Joel; and the name of his second, Abia: they were judges in Beersheba.

1 Chronicles 2:24

And after the death of Hezron at Calebephrata, Abia his wife bare him Ashur the father of Tekoa.

1 Chronicles 3:10

And Solomon's son was Rehoboam, Abiahis son, Asa his son, Jehoshaphat his son,

1 Chronicles 6:28

And the sons of Samuel; the firstborn Vashni, and Abia.

1 Chronicles 7:8

The sons of Beker: Zemirah, Joash, Eliezer, Elioenai, Omri, Jeremoth, Abia, Anathoth and Alemeth. All these were the sons of Beker.

1 Chronicles 24:10

the seventh to Hakkoz, the eighth to Abia

2 Chronicles 11:22

And Rehoboam made Abia the son of Maachah the chief, to be ruler among his brethren: for he thought to make him king.

2 Chronicles 12:16

And Rehoboam slept with his fathers, and was buried in the city of David: and Abia his son reigned in his stead.

2 Chronicles 13:1

Now in the eighteenth year of king Jeroboam began Abia to reign over Judah.

2 Chronicles 13:2

He reigned three years in Jerusalem. His mother's name also was Michaiah the daughter of Uriel of Gibeah. And there was war between Abia and Jeroboam.

2 Chronicles 13:3

And Abia set the battle in array with an army of valiant men of war, even four hundred thousand chosen men: Jeroboam also set the battle in array against him with eight hundred thousand chosen men, being mighty men of valour.

2 Chronicles 13:4

And Abia stood up upon mount Zemaraim, which is in mount Ephraim, and said, Hear me, thou Jeroboam, and all Israel;

2 Chronicles 13:15

Then the men of Judah gave a shout: and as the men of Judah shouted, it came to pass, that God smote Jeroboam and all Israel before Abia and Judah.

2 Chronicles 13:17

And Abia and his people slew them with a great slaughter: so there fell down slain of Israel five hundred thousand chosen men.

2 Chronicles 13:19

And Abia pursued after Jeroboam, and took cities from him, Beth-el with the towns thereof, and Jeshanah with the towns thereof, and Ephrain with the towns thereof.

2 Chronicles 13:20

20 Neither did Jeroboam recover strength again in the days of Abia: and the LORD struck him, and he died.

2 Chronicles 13:21

But Abia waxed mighty, and married fourteen wives, and begat twenty and two sons, and sixteen daughters.

2 Chronicles 13:22

And the rest of the acts of Abia, and his ways, and his sayings, are written in the story of the prophet Iddo.

2 Chronicles 14:1

So Abia slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city of David: and Asa his son reigned in his stead. In his days the land was quiet ten years.

1 Kings 14:1

At that time Abia the son of Jeroboam fell sick.

1 Kings 14:31

And Rehoboam slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David. And his mother's name was Naamah an Ammonitess. And Abia his son reigned in his stead.

1 Kings 15:1

Now in the eighteenth year of king Jeroboam the son of Nebat reigned Abiaover Judah.

1 Kings 15:7-8

Now the rest of the acts of Abia, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? And there was war between Abia and Jeroboam.

8 And Abia slept with his fathers; and they buried him in the city of David: and Asa his son reigned in his stead.

Nehemiah 12:4

Iddo, Ginnetho, Abia

Matthew 1:7

And Solomon begat Roboam; and Roboam begat Abia; and Abia begat Asa;

Matthew 1:8

and Abia begat Asa, and Asa begat Josaphat, and Josaphat begat Jora
Abia state was coined from 4 words...Aba, Bende, Isikwuato and Afikpo which is now in Ebonyi...the state was created in 1991
