I spoke to some of the farmers and they directed me to the farm agent.

Just yesterday a woman paid and has commensed work there immediately,

there are serious clearings of lands to accomodate more potential investors and farmers.

There will be a time the land will be limited and there will be no more spaces again.

But i hope before then i should have seen a partner to claim a spot there.

The rains are showing signs to start falling and this is the time serious farmers are ready to commence their work of cultivating the land for some profits.

farmers biggest challenges are to startup a farmland.

But after all this they seems to be at ease when time for harvest reaches.

With just 5-10k we can pay for a borehole there to use for watering the plants,

dry manure is been sold #700 per bag there,
we can get like 5-7 bags

then we are to get this generator sets for pumping up the water, 26k-30k depending on the type and capacity

and also buy hose since this is just for a plot no need for drip irrigation yet,

maybe with time we will advance to using drip emmitters
just to cut expenses.

Also we are to pay for clearing of the land and make ridges or use sack bags.
Anyone of our choice that will be suitable for us will be decided after seeing the land.

Buying of seeds and insecticides/pesticides.

Should we go for organic pesticides or just the chemical once?

Only time will tell.

As for fertilizers i can create a liquid booster fertilizers we can be able to use for the plants.

To tell you there is nothing much about this farm startup.

All we need is just a co-operative measures thats all,

we are into this to make profits and to expand with time.

There are acres of lands in rural villages like ogun state but the cost of transporting farm produce here to lagos is indeed huge.

Why not take advantage by renting a farmland here in lagos and cultivate a crop that you can sell and move very much faster to the markets

will be planning to cultivate okro there.

there is no much funds to spend here,

after building and constructing their house all you need is go to the market and buy strong and healthy local fowls,

if you dont have much you can seem to start with 2 females and one male fowl,

some do mark with colour or tie a string of red small cloth to the wings of their fowls so they can identify theirs.

Within just a year you will be surprised and amazed by the rate of local fowls you will call your own.

They can really be as many as posible because they reproduce well in numbers.

At least in local fowl rearing business there is no much need for treating them for diseases as for layers and broilers abi na boilers is that their useless name self,

so the op is scared that the rain is not yet forthcoming,

they can do it like this,
2-3 farmers are to contribute and create a borehole to be used for their farms,

How to start rearing local breeds of domestic fowls

If you start with 10 mature hens and one cock initially, your flock would probably expand in the following trend. 10 hens can lay around 20 eggs each which gives about 200 eggs in one cycle, but each hen can comfortably sit on 15 eggs, making a total of 10×15=150 chicks.
Thus one will have 161 birds after hatching-including the original hens and a cock. Since it is estimated that 40 per cent of the chicks would be cocks, the farmer would remain with 90 new hens, thus totaling to 100.
After six months all birds will be mature to start laying eggs. 100 birds will lay 2,000 eggs per cycle. This is why you may have to think towards rearing local breeds of domestic fowls.

You can practice semi intensive system of keeping the birds which entails providing shelter for the birds and partly provision of feed. In this system, the birds are allowed to roam about in search for food but you can minimize their mobility by providing them with locally processed feed from cereals. Like Chafs gotten after processing pap (akamu).

An ideal house for the birds should have its two long side walls built up to 2.5 feet to 3 feet from the ground and the rest of the walls fixed with either chicken wire mesh or sticks for good ventilation. If possible the floor can be of concrete but, a well rammed soil floor is adequate if you don’t have the resources.

Without being told, pepper is one of the most sought after in the open market. Food may not be appetizing if it does not contain pepper. germination rate isn't seedling survival... if you're ever planning to do pepper, dont be deceived into buying expensive seeds on your first try.. infact buy local opv seeds and treat them like hybrid seeds.. buy from local farmers around you and see for yourself.. else you'll be frustrated before you even transplant into the field.. pepper nursery is indeed one of the hardest been a farmer,

Please i want to know and aquire about starting up a fufu selling or producing business,

to me although it has its pros and cons,

but the basic thing here is getting the right knowlegde in starting off,

aaaaaah, u just shut your self on yur leg. yur water melon will grown very green and die immediately if u use this method, i can tel u why, but U would think you village people is against you. In vision for propagation of water melon, u must learn the does and don,t as to form your boldness on the course project.

it looks like you are new on sack farming,

there are countless videos of water melon been grown in sacks,

as far you can be watering and feeding them with adequate fertilizers,

how will they die off when you are taking good care of them?

and hang them in empty rooftops,
