Good day beautiful people.
If you're seeing this, you're an overcomer!

God has preserved you for His salvation and sanctification/cleansing/transformations.
You are preserved for his justification and glorification.

Rejoice! Be very happy to be alive.
As long as you have life in you, there's hope!
Look beyond what you see now.
God's thoughts/plans for you according to His predestination are beyond what we can conceive or imagine.
He can't wait to reveal them to us and bring them to pass in His good time!
He simply wants to reunite us together in Him. Selah

God is Good! All the Time!
And All the Time! God is Good!

Once we know that God is good all the time, we will find it possible to Trust Him with everything and in all circumstances
Knowing that every thing is happening for our good.
As long as we believe God and have put our Trust in Him to direct the affairs of our lives, it becomes easier to obey Him.
We stop resisting His instructions/directions and begin to see His counsel as perfect.
Even when it doesn't presently feel like it in the short term, in the long run when we see the result, we will be grateful!

TV/Movies / Re: Oscars 2024: Full List Of Winners by Myer(m): 10:19am On Mar 11
How times have changed.
There was a time the Oscars was the rave of the news. Both our local celebrities and fans anticipated this award night with so much excitement.

Today, how many people even knew the Oscars was last night?
Even the comment section is a proof.

Our sense of value of our home made movies has now grown so much that we actually appreciate our local entertainment celebrities and awards more. If this was AMVCA or NEA or NMA clearly it would be generating a lot of news, traffic and comments by now.

It's a blessing to see. Also shows our Entertainment industry players have really upped their game.
I believe GEJ played a major role in this. He deserves his accolades.

There's still room for much improvement for us to be as excellent as Hollywood regarding Structure, Cinematography, Production, Creativity, Script, Directing and Acting. but clearly Nollywood is doing so well now.

What's the difference between C&S and Cele?!

1. Both wear white garment.
2. Both uses brooms and handbells during rituals.
3. Both uses Candles and Amure as Israeli uses iron dome.
4. Both are descendants of Angel Michael, just like Mohd to moslems.
5. Both can brake coconut on the head of an enemy virtually.

Oga, those peeps are birds of a feather.

What's the difference between Winner's (Faith tabernacle) and Redeemed (RCCG))?

From your analogy, we should conclude that all Pentecostal/Charismatic churches are the same?

C&S and CCC are different denominations under the Aladura category of church.
They have different founders, though some similarities in their mode of worship.

If you want to eat to your satisfaction in Nigeria today, just hold at least 2k. Anything less than that would just gauge your stomach for sometime after which the hunger would return.

Tinubu's Nigeria has become extremely unaffordable for the average Nigerian.

When you talk, Tinubu's paid supporters would say that we should be patience. My question to them is what is that one visible thing they feel Tinubu has done since he became the president that can make Nigerians to be patience with him? Aside propaganda and lies... nothing.

Sit tight folks, cos we're in for a long bumpy ride. 2027 is still very far.
My average daily meal budget

breakfast rice, beans, plantain and.meat 600
Brunch bread and tea 600
Lunch swallow 1000
Dinner: 500
Total: 2700

$one days are less, some days are more. Some (rarely) I make dinner.
This economy has a lesson or more for each and every one of us especially how to manage our resources wisely, either to;

1. Cut down.on some of our expenses.
2. Expand on our income (legitimately).
3. Be realistic about our economic level and humbly adjust appropriately.
4. Support one another.

By the way, Nigerian men need to get sense. You don't need to disturb yourself looking for proof that your wife or gf is cheating on you.

The only proof you need that a Nigerian girl is cheating on you is that she's a Nigerian girl.

Nigerian girls will Bleep for money.
Nigerian girls will Bleep for attention.
Nigerian girls will Bleep for a free ride.
Nigerian girls will Bleep for AC.
Nigerian girls will Bleep for POP.
Nigerian girls will Bleep for Indomie and eggs.

Nigerian girl will Bleep just because the sun shines.

As a man in Nigeria, your own is to ALWAYS use condoms when it's your turn to Bleep a Nigerian girl.
Nigerian guys and Nigerian girls deserve each other.
Generally, you attract who you are. There's only few exceptions to this.

Religion / Re: The Gift Of A New Day by Myer(m): 4:38pm On Mar 07
It is important to note that forgiveness does not mean we should become friends with the person that betrayed/hurt us.
It simply means we have made peace with them in our heart and confessed it before God.
And if need, by going to also talk it out with them, with the intention of letting it go, whether they apologize or we have to apologize.

There are people that we have no business being friends with.
Friend here refers to people we allow into our personal space to be close with- either family, colleagues, neighbors, church members, etc.

And as we learn to forgive one another and live in Peace with one another, let us also walk with Wisdom and Understanding.
Know who is your friend and who is not your friend.
Know who is indifferent, just acquaintances.
Know those who only certain activities bring you together and nothing more.
And know your enemies.

Life is not a bed of roses.
-The very fact that you're alive, you have enemies- spiritual and physical.
-The very fact that you're the child of your parents, you have enemies you inherited.
-The very fact that you're a child of God, you have enemies.
-The very fact that you're poor or rich, you have enemies who see you as competition.

May God grant us the Wisdom and Understanding where words and the minister fall short in Jesus name.
Amen and Amen.

The Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Love of God the Father and the Sweet fellowship of the Holy Spirit
Be with us now and forever. Amen.
Religion / Re: The Gift Of A New Day by Myer(m): 4:29pm On Mar 07
Some people have not forgiven their own self. This is deep.
Some times we find it difficult to forgive our own self.
Either due to decisions we made in the past that cost us a lot of our future/dreams.
Either for getting ourselves into wrong relationships, investing in business that we shouldn't have,
losing opportunities we shouldn't have due to mistakes, graduating with poor grades,
or feeling responsible for the death or misfortune of some one close to us, etc.

We cannot forgive our selves.
Only God can forgive us.
And by His forgiveness, we feel the weight of our past sins, guilts, regrets, condemnations, shame lifted off us.
For some, it is instant.
While for some it is progressive.
God will heal us spirit, soul, mind and body in Jesus name. Amen.
Religion / Re: The Gift Of A New Day by Myer(m): 4:24pm On Mar 07
So many are still holding tribal/ethnically/racially motivated bitterness/unforgiveness.
This is one of the hardest to heal.
But for the sake of God, for Christ's sake, please heal.
Forgive whether you're right or wrong.
May God help us forgive one another for the sins of our ancestors in Jesus name. Amen

Speaking of ancestors, so many are unknowingly but silently angry with Adam and Eve.lol
This sounds funny until God healed me of it.
When you find yourself still blaming Eve for the downfall of mankind- for the curse on men to toil before feeding,
women's birth bangs and also women helplessly/foolishly falling in love with men.
Just know that you need to heal.lol

Please forgive Adam and Eve. They didn't know better and we most likely would have done the same.
Note that we were not told how long before they disobeyed God. It could have been a week, a year, a century or millennium.
Bottom line is eventually, they did.

In fact, some of us still disobey God every day, even after we have found Grace in Jesus. No be Juju be dat? lol
So abeg, make we try forgive Adam and Eve.
Religion / Re: The Gift Of A New Day by Myer(m): 4:17pm On Mar 07
Forgiveness is difficult, especially when sincere.

There are people that hurt us or betrayed us in a way that cut so deep that forgiving them seems impossible.
But for us to both heal and walk with God with the right heart, we have to forgive them.

Let us pray that God should help us forgive them.
God himself knows forgiveness is difficult for us.
God help us in Jesus name.

Heavenly Father, help us to forgive like you.
Give us a heart that forgives.
If you could forgive us our own sins, help us to forgive others as well in Jesus name. Amen.

In your quiet time, forgive the person(s) in your heart/mind.
You will experience a weight lifted off your heart.
You will be able to pray for God to forgive the person and also save them.

The person is like wise simply a victim of powers of darkness.
Even pastors are not immune to being used by the devil.
In fact so many people who are offended with God today stooped going to church because of the betrayal of their pastor or prophet.
For some, it was a close mentor.
For some it was someone who promised them marriage but disappointed.
For some it was a close friend that betrayed them.

May God heal our hearts the way only He can in Jesus name. Amen

Greetings Fam!

It's a good day to be ALIVE.
Every day is another opportunity to;

-get it right.
-become right (for your self, partner, job, etc).
-say sorry and make amends.
-do better (improve from wherever you stopped).
-learn, unlearn, relearn.
-discover/invent/create/recreate/innovate.
-meet new people (the good, the bad, the beautiful and the ugly).

The most important thing to get right is to e right with God.
Get Wisdom, this is the principal (most important thing), and with all they getting get Understanding.

Jesus Christ is the Wisdom of God, and it is the Holy Spirit who gives Understanding. Selah
Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all other things will be added to you.

When we get the spiritual right, we have gotten the most important part of our existence right.
Please be intentional to be spiritually alive and not spiritually dead (carnal).
Don't be carried away by what you see.
There is so much more that is not seen but controls that which is seen. Selah.
When you get the spiritual right, you can tell by your response to it-
Are you still self-centered or now you live for God and others too?
The Great commission helps us to know this- that we are saved to bring others into salvation.
Family / Re: Mum Rejects My Babe Cos She Is Not Fine by Myer(m): 4:33pm On Mar 06
sammymax:
I seriously need advice as I really don't know what the right or best thing to do at this time. Please elders in the house be kind enough to suggest what I could do.

I did not think something like this can still happen in this era but this is what I have to deal with. So my mum flat out told me she does not like the girl I took home because she is not fine. About 3years ago when we went home together she told me this but I just disregarded it like when I'm ready she won't have a choice but to accept her as she is. To be honest she is not fine at all but she gives me peace of mind which I feel is the ultimate.

She was involved in an accident with my dad last year and we lost my dad in the process. During the burial I went home with my babe again and my mum still made her displeasure with the girl show.

The thing now is that I went home again to see how she is doing and she called to speak me again after stating that I had disobeyed her by not breaking up with the girl she said is still not having her and if I insist she is the one I should count her out of the marriage. She can never come visiting or even call her. She will not attend the wedding. Now I am 32 and she is 30

How do I navigate this situation. I plead for good advice. Have you been in a similar situation how did you handle it.
Your mom has a point, looks matter in choice of wife.
If she is ugly but attractive to you, then it is not really a problem.
But if she is ugly and you're not attracted to her, then it may become an issue later.

When you say she gives you peace of mind, it is relative. I have been the source of peace of mind to ladies in the past only to shatter that peace of mind when situation changed.

So there are more important core values to you, which you must also consider.
Generally, here are some core values to look out for?

1. Are you both god-fearing, religious or unbelievers? (Very important)
2. Is she a liability to you or an asset? Does she contribute to your life and well-being besides giving you peace of mind? Are you mutually beneficial without having to instigate or ask?
3. Is she wasteful or able to manage resources? Is she the type that wants to spend all your money or concerned about you saving/investing for the future?
4. Do you know her friends and family? How does she behave around them?
5. Is she the type living her life to impress/oppress others?
6. Is she respectful or condescending?
7/ Is she humble or proud?

If you're comfortable with these answers about her, then you need to stand your grounds as a man to let your mom know it is your marriage and your choice, not hers. No one is indispensable if you've tried your best to make her understand.

May God help you to make the right decision.

Have a good relationship with police. Nigerians are unpredictable.

I laugh when I hear people thanking Gowon for abolishing the 4 Region's Nigeria had and creating states. These people think it was for their benefit but they are yet to understand that it was for the benefit of Gowon and his fellow Northern cohorts

These people never bothered to read the Decrees Gowon used in creating states to realise that Gowon not only gave the North half of the states he created, but that Gowon also abolished resource control and placed all resources in the hands of the Federal government. Gowon gave you states but took control of your resources, what's the point?

As for the war, These people do not also realise that it was Gowon who broke the peace agreement him and Ojukwu signed in Aburi, Ghana, which led to war

Ignorance is a terrible disease

Romance / Re: Reasons Women Get Attached To A Man After Sex by Myer(m): 8:03pm On Mar 02
tiffanyfan:
There are five reasons a woman gets attached to a man after sex.

✓ Women naively believe what they hear.

The way to a woman is through her ears. For a man to sleep with a woman, he says what the woman wants to hear:

“You are the most beautiful woman I’ve ever met. You are so smart, focused and intelligent.”
This way, she doesn’t feel like he’s taking her for a fool. And whoops, she falls to his trap!

Women believe in love.

Outside marriage, men are just cheaters (irresponsible men). For men, there’s no love gained or lost. After sex, a man walks away with zero feelings. The game is over. She’s left confused and wounded. Women don’t easily slow down after intimacy.

Women are more emotional by nature.

The woman’s body releases volumes of oxytocin during intimacy. This is the hormone responsible for bonding. She naturally gets emotionally attached to the man she slept with. And the more time he took with her, the more attached she becomes.

Women are nurturers by nature.

Women unconsciously nurture relationships the same way they nurture babies. Women foster and nourish whatever comes their way including grownup men.

Sex for women is an act of submission.

When a woman sleeps with a man, she totally trusts him. In sex, a woman surrenders her life, will and body to the man to do with her as he wishes. That’s why women get broken to pieces when relationships break down.

Fritzy
She does not want to increase her body count. She believes the devil she knows is better than the angel she doesn't know.

Simply living a godly celibate life will deliver girls/ladies from sexual bondage and relationship trauma.

As we all commit our lives into God's hands and become faithful to Him, he is faithful. He is the perfect Match-maker.

If he were to be my uncle or related, that woman will be herself pack her things and never return. Sometimes I dislike this idea of minding one's business as that's what exactly his family is doing knowing fully well this woman is killing him gradually. Not me sha, I'll sooooo interfere and unremorsefully scatter that hell he calls marriage. Very sad situation

Thanks for sharing.
Respect the man's wishes. But pray for God's intervention. If it's meant to be repaired because of the children, God knows how.
If they need to divorce, God like wsie Knows how.

I perceive the girl has jazzified/kayamatered him.
The fact that she has successfully turned his back against everyone is a clear sign.
The fact that he has no peace of mind is another.

Their age difference in actually a najor red flag. The generational difference alone will likely make them incompatible. She feels she missed a lot of her prime life and the man cheated her of "enjoying life."
