James 1:1-3 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. 4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. Colossians 1:21-23 And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight— if indeed you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard, which was preached to every creature under heaven, of which I, Paul, became a minister. 1 Peter 5:10-11 But may the God of all grace, who called [g]us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen. |
One thing happens when a man is in God's will for their life. Jeremiah 17:7-8 "Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, And whose hope is the LORD. For he shall be like a tree planted by the water; Which spreads out its roots by the river, And will not fear when heat comes, But its leaf will be green, And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit. Psalm 1:1-3 Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the river of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season. Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper. Isaiah 1:18-20 "Come now, and let us reason together," Says the LORD. "Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool. If you are willing and obedient You shall eat the good of the land; But if you refuse and rebel, You shall be devoured by the sword;" For the mouth of the LORD has spoken. |
What should we do? Confront the enemy! The enemy is not you or me. The enemy is not our leaders. The enemy is not even our colonial masters. The enemy is the Power controlling them. The Puppeteer using them as his puppets, to execute his will. The enemy is Satan and his agents. Ephesians 6:12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 2 Corinthians 10:4-6 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, -casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled. Watch and Pray. Be sensitive to know and do God's Will in this time and season. Do not be discouraged or become weary. This is the time to draw nearer and closer to God. This is the time to be given to passionate and compassionate evangelism- we are saved to save others. This is the time to grow in love. |
Jesus Christ, though greater than the rulers of his day, subjected to their authority. As a model/example and template for us to follow. Please deliver yourself and your loved ones from the wrath of disobedience to God's Word. Pastors should like wise desist from attacking their leaders- spiritual and political. They are to be models to their members. May God Himself grant us Understanding. For this indeed is a Hard saying. |
If indeed you are a child of God, then you have confessed Jesus Christ, the Word of God as your LORD and Savior. Then the Word of God has the final say/authority on any and every matter in your life. Romans 13:1-2 Let everyone soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinances of God, and those who resist will bring judgement on themselves. Romans 13;3-4 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same. For he is God's minister to you for good. But if you do evil, be afraid for he does not bear the sword in vain, For he is God's minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil. Romans 13:5 Therefore you must be subject, not only because of wrath but also for conscience sake. Daniel 4:17 "This decision is by the decree of the watchers, And the sentence by the word of the holy one, in order that the living may know That the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, Gives it to whomever He will, And sets over it the lowest of men.' |
God has, for reasons known to Him elected Bola Ahmed Tinubu to be both the President of Nigeria and the Chairman of the African Union, in this strategic move of God. Perhaps so that we will not give the glory of man, But know that He is the One who has worked this work in our time. Instead of attacking God's elect, let us rather bless whom God has blessed And not curse whom God has blessed. Selah No one can become a President unless God allows it. And if God does not allow it, even though the person seems most suitable, they will not be president. AWOLOWO and MKO come to mind for the West/Yorubas OJUKWU comes to mind for the East/Igbos ATIKU comes to mind in recent times for the North/Hausa/Fulani Donald Duke comes to mind for the South South/Efik/Ibibio |
There are 2 governments running concurrently; -The government on the physical throne. -And the government of God, Dear fellow Nigerians, why do we put our trust in the President when God is the one in Control. Isaiah 9:6-7 For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given, And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end, Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom. To order it and establish it with judgment and justice from that time forward, even forever.'The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this. Focus on the government of Jesus Christ, and you will not be a casualty/victim. Focus on the government of Jesus Christ, and you will be saved. John 3:14-15 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. |
The Promised Land is not a physical place but a spiritual position/posture. It is a Mindset and Nature that survives and thrives in any and every situation and location. Challenges will not stop but we will be well-equipped spiritually, mentally, emotionally, physically and resourcefully for every challenge that comes our way. Why? Because we have come to know what matter most- IN GOD WE TRUST. |
Nigeria, and in fact the rest of Africa was bought a long time ago by colonial masters. God is liberating Nigeria and in deed Africa from colonial bondage. For decades, we have blamed our leaders, when our leaders are simply stooges and puppets of our colonial masters. We thought we gained independence from them, not knowing that they simply left the seat but never left the throne. They had what our leaders did not have. They had advanced weapons of warfare; They knew men and the Greed in men. Selah And the had the Experience. Divide and Conquer. This has always been their strategy. It is mastery of warfare. And it works as a charm every time, every where. Except by the Grace of God. God is delivering Nigeria and indeed Africa from her enemies that are too mighty for her. While we are going through this Deliverance/Exodus from Bondage, we, like the Israelites MUST pass through the Wilderness. The wilderness is never an easy experience/journey. Many souls perish in this journey. Those who are not sensitive to discern God's will on this journey may end up as casualties. May we not become casualties in Jesus name. May we discern and yield to God's will in Jesus name. And may we be transformed through this journey for the Promised Land ahead in Jesus name. |
Nigeria is going through God's transformation. Do we not yet discern this? Do we yet not understand that God is delivering each and everyone of us? As many as have and will obtain favor in His sight? Decades of decadence is being exposed and repaired from the very foundations. We prayed, we fasted, we cried, we ministered and we sacrificed painfully. Yet when God answered our prayers, we do not discern? The hardship Nigeria is presently passing through is important for the great days ahead. The future is so glorious, do we not know this? Are we so realistic/carnal that we have lost faith in our prayers and God's precious promises? Every thing, every single thing that is happening, do we not yet see that it is for our own good? As many that Love God and are called according to His purpose? |
If God will bless a man, He sends His Word through people. If the devil will destroy a man, he like wise sends words through people. Discernment is to know when God is working/talking through a person or it is the devil working/talking through them. Discernment is to understand God's Hand and God's Will in a matter/situation, even by God's Grace and Mercy. Without discernment, man puts his trust in people. Not discerning that it is God who uses a person for a time. Even our parents are for a time. Our pastors/mentors are for a time. Even we are but for a time in other people's lives. Selah Time, who can discern the times and seasons. May God help us to discern rightly and stop expecting from people what only God can give us. May God help us to be able to discern what He has given us for the benefit of our own selves and for the benefit of others. May God help us to discern, that we may stop calling our blessings curses, and our curses blessings. Selah |
Until I had no one else to put my trust, I didn't know how to Trust God. I had been raised to put my trust in people even though I prayed to God. I had been raised to trust in my own abilities even though I quoted scriptures. "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" I would pray to God but depend on my own strength and not the strength of Christ. I would like wise make expectations of other people's strengths. Until my strength failed me, Until people failed me- including the past president, my family, my church, my friends, my colleagues and my contacts. Until even substances failed me. Until I had exhausted all the strengths I depended on. Until I had nothing left but to depend solely on God. Until then, was I delivered from putting my trust in man. May the LORD grant us understanding in Jesus name. |
Bless the LORD oh my soul and ALL that is within me. I am the one, God has shown mercy. To know God is not by choice but by His Grace. Until God calls a man to salvation, who can save him? If the LORD does not help a person, who can help them? Unless God unveils a man, oh how blindening is the scale over his eyes? Luke 19:42- saying, "If you had known, even you, especially in this your day, the things that make for your peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes. Nigerians still think Tinubu is their problem? People still think their problems are their fellow people? Who will tell them? Who will help them know? Who will unveil them that they may understand? Unless God has called them to salvation. Jeremiah 17:5-6 Thus says the LORD; "Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength; Whose heart departs from the LORD. For he shall be like a shrub in the desert, And shall not see when good comes, But shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land which is not inhabited. Jeremiah 17:7-8 "Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, And whose hope is the LORD. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river, And will not fear when heat comes. But its leaf will be green, And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit. |
Objectivist04:It isn't contradictory. Yes, people are being used to exercise the karma over Tinubu. Try not to be among them. So that you like wise don't continue in the chain of Karma. Do unto others as you will have them do to you. |
Malroux:Perhaps you will listen to reason tonight. Insulting/Dishonoring leaders is not a wise thing to do. Cos your subordinates will do the same to you. Tinubu is like wise suffering karma for dishonoring his predecessors. Don't be another statistic. It's better not to comment at all than become a victim of your comment. |
inoki247:Well said. However, I was not only referring to the financial aspect of life. Do you believe every human is created for a purpose? |
inoki247:Your theme song should be "this life I can't kill myself o..." lol But truth be told, it is in this same life that some have left indelible imprints on the sands of time. You can either accept defeat and settle for less. Or think of your posterity and leave a good legacy behind for them to continue. Without knowing who you are especially in Christ, you may not know how much life has in store to offer you. Think abourit. |
Yungmil:CGPA is not the only KPI for measuring the quality of a University. |
chinasaekpere:Congratulations. The reward for self-denial, diligence and grace. |
Hamachi:I was also in the same frustrated frame of mind 2 years ago (2022). However, last year (2023) by God's grace marked my 10th year in the Labour market. And all I can say is that even though I'm far from what I envisaged for my self, I am grateful for what I do have. I have also accepted my mistakes/blames where necessary and chosen to learn from them. One thing this 10 years has afforded is Experience in various fields. 1. I graduated with a BSc in Physics from LASU. 2. Did my NYSC in Ministry of Agriculture (PPA) and Publicity (CDS). I was also lucky to get a side hustle as a home teacher for a Banker who needed Math for his Masters, and a Sec School student. 3. Though the Banker wanted to set up a school and make me his manager/principal, I opted rather for a banking job which he helped me secure by submitting my CV and guiding me through. That's how a Physicist ended up as a full-time Banker with Diamond Bank. Unfortunately I lost the job before I was confirmed. Long story, but basically "village people". 4. That's how I entered Labor market again, ended up as a Jumia Consultant (Sales Rep). 5. I later secured a job as a Accountant for a Freight and Forwarding company in Apapa, Lagos for about a year. 6. After a year and no prospect, I resigned (took a long leave) to further my studies and hope of securing a better job during or after my studies. Luckily yet a gain, made some contacts who submitted my CV and helped secure my current job. I graduated top of my set in Advanced Diploma in HRM from Unilag. 7. Unfortunately, there was no vacancy in HR so I had to start up as a Credit Officer for a year. Then I got transferred from field to Head Office in a career switch to the Automation department of the organization, where I have been for the past 7 years. This is the longest I have ever been in any organization (8 years) and even though my bank account does not reflect it, I am grateful for the opportunity and growth achieved so far. Last year the company sponsored my certification as an Associate Project Manager (CAPM). 8. This year has been a very interesting one for me. Full of opportunities and hopes. This year actually started out with an offer that came with accommodation package but I have not been led to resign yet. I have come to learn to pray and prepare myself for every opportunity God brings my way. I have learnt that God has always brought opportunities and helpers my way in this journey of life and labor market but I have not been very discerning in the past and did not effectively manage some of the opportunities. 9. My lesson from my journey in the labor market is simple- Put God first and learn to work for Him in your capacity according to the grace He has given you. Through submitting to Him and working for Him, he builds you to be responsible and endues on you qualities that are sought-after by every organization. Qualities such as Honesty/Integrity, Responsibility, Team work, Accountability, Excellence., Leadership, besides the other Spiritual gifts. Matthew 6:33 10. God bless and help us all. By God's Grace, this year will end in testimonies. We will not be focusing on the government of Nigeria but the government of God. Isaiah 9:6-7 11. I pray for everyone that is going through frustrations in this season especially with the harsh conditions of the economy, that God will make a way for you in Jesus name. That according to His Word, as you come to Him all you who labor and are heavy laden (burdened/frustrated) that He will give you Rest (Peace of mind, Comfort). That you will receive the grace to take up his own yoke/work and learn of Him for He his Gentle and Lowly in heart(humble), and you will find rest for your soul. For his work/yoke is easy and His burden (task/assignment) is light. Matthew 11:28-30. That labor market will become favor market for you and in Jesus name. 12. And I pray for every one who is enjoying God's testimonies in this season, that our testimonies will not cease and that our path will continue to shine brighter and brighter unto the perfect day. That we will not have a better yesterday. That no weapon formed against us will prosper and every tongue that rises against us we will condemn. That we will not become proud and forget that it is God who has given us the power to make wealth. We will not give God's glory to ourselves or other gods. And that He who has begun His Good work in us will continue and also complete it even till the day of Jesus. Amen 13. Finally the secret/mystery of work/labor is embedded in Luke 16:9-13 and Colossians 3:22'255. May the LORD grant us understanding and help us. And as many who desire it, God will make and equip you to become employers of labour in Jesus name. Amen and Amen |

whatmoreng:I asked you to do your research for a reason. He wasn't just a scientist but also an Evangelist. It was a divine breakthrough beyond academic scholarship. |
EreluRoz:If you read the article well, he is not forcing it. He was interviewed and he shared his personal encounters and experiences. He even explained how he does not encourage it unless the person who seeks his counsel is given the same Grace. One thing I have come to learn about Christianity is the difference between the Old testament/covenant and New testament- The Old is according to Laws, while the other is by Grace through worshiping God in Spirit and Truth. John 1:17, Romans 8:2, John 4:24. We simply have to know what measure of Grace God has given to us and not compare ourselves with others. Interesting I was having this discussion with a brother last night and today. And this post just one of the many confirmations I have received that the bible does not in any place call polygamy a sin. Only Bishops and Deacons were advised to stick to monogamy as a template/model of a perfect Christian family. So let's not call a sin, what God hasn't called a sin. So many single mothers have remained so because, they do not want to be in polygamous marriages because society especially so many churches have made it an anathema. And so many men are having issues with adultery and fornication when they should simply be in polygamous marriages. We are in the last days, and one of the prophecies concerning the last days is that 7 women will actually beg and gladly want to marry one man. According to Apostle Paul, it is best/perfect to remain Single and focus on serving God and being a blessing to humanity, if you have the Grace. It is like wise perfect to marry one wife and have a model family, if that's the Grace you're given. And polygamy is not a sin as there is provision for those who also have the Grace. A lot of the Fathers of Faith in the Old testament were actually polygamous from Abraham to Solomon and beyond. However in the new testament, there's no mention of a polygamous Disciple. But it was not called a sin. |
whatmoreng:Instead of just taking the verdict of the court, why not do your research? He was introducing a technological solution that would shake the petrol industry, automoile industry and the governments and powers profitting off them. Of course they swiftly poisoned/murdered him, buried his work and labeled him fraudulent. So if some one is providing such a solution today, he should be well prepared for the enemies he's contending with and apply wisdom. |
Amotolongbo:Well said. However there's no coincidence in the spirit. Quite unfortunate that he would die simply from an unnecessary display by politicians. What was the essence of "releasing"? His grieving mother should summon the courage to confront those who murdered her son, no matter their influence. The PA of the deceased has already given account of the primary suspect. The Prince should be charged with murder. |
How focused are you? In an age flooded with so much actitivities begging for the human attention- online and offline, it becomes imperative to learn and hone a very important skill- the ability to be focused and stay focused. According to the English Dictionafy, Focus can be defined as concentration of attention. Learning to be focused begins with identifying your goals and your distractions. Then knowing your priorities and setting the order of your priorities right. What are Goals and what are Distractions? A goal is a result that one is attempting to achieve. A distraction is some thing or some one that diverts one's attention. Hence distractions are things, people and activities that divert one's attention from their goals. To mitigate the risk of distractions , it is therefore important to set priorities. Priority is simply an item's relative importance. Priorities are subjective. What is priority for A may some times be distraction for B and vice versa. This is noteworthy. |
"The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness!" -Matthew 6:22-23 How focused are you? LibertyRep:The more reason we should pray for the president and appreciate his proactive measures to correct decades of mismanagement of his predecessors. Wetin Buhari see run na Him Asiwaju dey contend with. This is not the time to play partisan politics but to support the incumbent and his cabinet. God willing, all his policies will begin to yield results and impact in the nearest future. Rome wasn't built in a day. We cannot wish away the present hardship. In due time hopefully before the end of the tenure, we will enjoy the dividends of the hardship we have endured in the name of correcting the economy. God bless Nigeria and well meaning Nigerians in Jesus name. Amen. |
