danvon:They know it until they fall in love or get desperate due to peer/family/age pressure. So a reminder is good for those who may yet listen to reason. I can only imagine what prompted the op to write this. Pastors/Ministers ears don full. |
2Samuel 16:23 Now the advice of Ahithophel, which he gave in those days, was as if one had inquired at the oracle of God. So was all the advice of Ahithophel both with David and with Absalom. The story of Ahithophel is laden with lessons. He was a man who was so blessed with divine wisdom that whenever he gave an advice/counsel, it was said that it was as if God himself had spoken. And at such, it was only fitting that he would be king David's counselor. Unfortunately when David was embattled and fled from his son Absalom, Ahithophel chose to decamp, becoming Absalom's counselor. A decision that seemed wise until David was informed and petitioned God against him. 2 Samuel 15:31 Then someone told David, saying, “Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom.” And David said, “O Lord, I pray, turn the counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness!” It is important to note that God did not take away Ahithophel's wisdom/counsel. However, even though his counsel was better than the advice/counsel of Hushai and would have given Absalom victory, Absalom and the people instead considered the counsel of Hushai to be better. It was the counsel of Hushai that would lead Absalom to his death because Hushai was David's mole. 2Samuel 17:14 So Absalom and all the men of Israel said, “The advice of Hushai the Archite is better than the advice of Ahithophel.” For the Lord had purposed to defeat the good advice of Ahithophel, to the intent that the Lord might bring disaster on Absalom. Finally, Ahithophel could not bear the shame of his counsel being rejected. He had become proud. He had exalted the gift of God over God himself. He had gotten accustomed to the praises of men. Ahithophel who was so mightily blessed and spoke as an oracle of God, ended up taking his own life. 2 Samuel 17:23 Now when Ahithophel saw that his advice was not followed, he saddled a donkey, and arose and went home to his house, to his city. Then he put his household in order, and hanged himself, and died; and he was buried in his father’s tomb. When the spirit of God was teaching me these lessons about Ahithophel, he made me to realize that there are many Ahithophels in our present age. I was one of them. Many who have encountered Jesus Christ, who have the gifts of God evidently working in their lives. But because they have chosen to "decamp" just like Ahithophel, because they are no longer seeking the kingdom of God but other kingdoms, their counsel/wisdom has been turned to foolishness. If this message resonates with you, it is never too late to repent. God's love and mercy is still available for as many who will turn to him for help. I have been there. I was far gone, backslidden and thought I was beyond redemption. I do not know whose prayer was answered over me, but I got to the point where I was able to repent and seek God's help and like the prodigal son, he received me with open arms into His kingdom and family once again. May God grant us His grace, mercy and love in Jesus name. Amen. |
tos4u:QED. Trump simply needs to learn to talk less and tweet less this time around. Let his actions do the talking. |
IjeBos:You're obviously a Kamala Harris supporter. |
Beloved, I write with a heavy burden- a burden for this generation and a burden for the body of Christ. We know that this generation has chosen to do things its own way. And as in the book of judges, God leaves such a generation to the consequences of rejecting his way and doing things their own way until they come to remember they were better off with God and run back crying to him. Proverbs 14:12 There is a way that seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death. Romans 1:28-29 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; being filled with all unrighteousness, [c]sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, Nigeria and in fact the whole world is in pangs suffering the consequences of doing things our own way. World leaders are overwhelmed with challenges beyond human intelligence. As they attempt to resolve one challenge, like hydra-heads other challenges arise. This however should not come as a surprise to a child of God as it was all prophesied in the books of the bible. Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ did not leave us in the dark concerning these last days. Matthew 24 states the signs we are experiencing even today. Also apostle Paul in his epistles to Timothy and the Thessalonians warned us concerning these days. These last days are designed for sons of God to thrive, for our manifestation. For it is in darkness that light shines brightest. Isaiah 60:2 For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the Lord will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you. 1 John 5:19-20 We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one. And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life. What is expected of a Sons of God in these last days? 1. Discipleship - Spiritual growth through the knowledge of God and Jesus Christ whom he has sent. John 17:3 2. Soul-winning - Unbelievers who are under the bondage of sin and oppressing spirits need the gospel now more than ever and with prayers will receiving the grace for salvation. 3. Judgement/Leadership - Brethren who have come into spiritual maturity, having been trained to discern between good and evil and being empowered to walk righteously are needed in various sectors of their nations- ministry, governance, business, academics. etc Prophecies have been declared waiting for vessels/people who will avail themselves and allow the Spirit of God to work in them and through them for great and greater works that is required for this age and time. I charge you to believe the gospel. I charge you to read what has been written concerning you in the scriptures. I charge you to choose the eternal life, to walk in the way, the truth and the life of Christ. Romans 8:19-23 For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now. Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body. |
It is interesting how history repeats itself, yet only the discerning will understand. It is with a great sense of responsibility that I am moved to share this revelation with us and I pray that not only does it open our eyes, but most especially that it helps us rightly discern and identify who we are presently and who we are meant to be. Reading through the synoptic gospels as well as the Acts of the Apostles, we can identify the following personalities; The Jews The Gentiles The Disciples The Pharisees/Sadducees The Romans/Herod The Jews can be likened to everyone who is born into a Christian home in our present times. They are religious believers. Gentiles can be likened to everyone who has not come into the knowledge of the gospel of Jesus Christ. The Disciples can be likened to everyone who is born again, having come into personal salvation in Jesus Christ. Pharisees/Sadducees can be likened to most of the respected Pastors/Prophets who are making money off the gospel and the Jews/Christians. Romans/Herod can be likened to the colonial masters who are still ruling us directly or indirectly. Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior came to deliver us from every bondage (sin, curse, laws, religion, etc), to raise disciples and restore us into the glory of God. It is important to note that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. Our present day Jesus Christ is the Holy Spirit and whoever He indwells for His purpose and workmanship. Just like the disciples of Jesus Christ were persecuted by the Pharisees/Sadducees, even today true disciples are being persecuted because the world hates the Truth of the Gospel. The world loves religion but hates the Way of Truth and Life. The very religious bondage that Jesus Christ came to deliver the world from has been re-established and the Pharisees/Sadducees will do any thing to keep the people in bondage. May God deliver his church, his disciples, the body of Christ from the gates of hell in the mighty name of Jesus, our Christ. Amen. |
"Man is by nature a political animal." When the great Greek philosopher Aristotle made this profound timeless statement, one can only wonder his state of mind and the political architecture of his time because centuries later, it still holds true today. While many may deny this fact but time has shown that under the necessary circumstances, every one of us is in fact a politician. Unfortunately so many realise this quite late. Which is what has prompted and necessitated this article. “A follower who leads is greater than a leader who follows." This uncredited quote is a call to each and everyone of us who is not a political officer. It is a call to help us realise what is expected of us as followers who are being impacted by the decisions of our political officers, our leaders. It is not enough to wait till electioneering window only to campaign and vote for already determined political candidates that are thrust on us. Having to choose of the lesser evils only to end up with songs of lamentation for another tenure of 4 years of bad governance. There's so much more for the follower to do. The most important decisions tale place in political parties. The parties are where we are to become players in the polity, attending meetings, getting acquainted with our political leaders, holding them accountable, making our positive contributions in our localities and galvanising influence towards the coming elections. We have made our voices heard online and through protests. It is now more important to make our impact felt in our political parties. The choice of political party to join is personal and should not be discriminated against. We cannot all have the same political inclination and ideals. Finally, it is important to know what we are getting ourselves into. Politics is a dirty game any where in the world, but especially in Nigeria. Please be spiritually, mentally and emotionally prepared for the journey ahead. And also have the right heart to serve not to enrich ourselves. The greatest leaders are the greatest servants.” God bless Nigeria and God bless Nigerians. Amen. |
Quelme:Northern Muslims are very much godfearing. Same with Northern Christians. One wonders how the South got so perverse, yet we have the highest number of churches and mosques. Religious leaders in the south have lost their focus. Love of money and vain glories has blinded most of them. Thank God for the remnant as prophesied still holding on to godly messages and raising true disciples of Christ. |
Moyewa00:Congrats on finding a virgin in this generation. Handle with care, it wasn't easy for her. Be careful who you seek counsel from concerning your marriage. If you're a believer, there are marriage counsellors with more experience in churches to guide you. My counsel- This usually happens with older virgins. Take your time to help her relax and get her in the mood with good music and pre-intimacy. Lubricate her properly and please don't rush it, she'll soon be all yours. Gently go about it till her hymen softens up. Then access will be granted with pleasure. PS: If you make it a painful experience for her, she might not look forward to sex with you. But if properly handled, you might just create your sexual haven together. Once again, better to get counsel from your marriage counselor if you had one during your courtship. All the best and HML. |
OLAADEGBU:Truth is the primary thing, anyone who is honest/truthful will know that there is God. We see his work in our lives and all around us everyday. And when one obtain favor from God, you'll find Jesus Christ and receive the grace to see and enter into the kingdom of God. John 3. The challenge with this generation is many have become more of scientologists while claiming to be atheists. They don't want to believe until some thing is scientifically proven. Be that as it may, the template remain to believe first, then you will begin to see. Because that is also how we live as Christians. Everyone else might be talking according to reality, but we speak what is written in the word of God and what is revealed to us. Selah |
Shomek:There's been a paradigm shift from the status quo yet some people do not want to adjust. There was a time a man could shoulder all the responsibilities and women were happy to be stay-at-home wives. That is not the case in most parts of Nigeria anymore. With the economic realities of this generation, both parties ought to have the mindset to be co-contributors. It is wisdom to know what works for you and your partner, not societal standards. It is your marriage not another's. It is also important to know that marriage is a choice. |
Glimpsetv:It depends on what a lady wants in a man, really. Generally, the easiest way to meet people is by being sociable/approachable. The intention also matters. People relax better around you and become less guarded when your motive is right/clear. Some positive motives can be friendship, business/school/job/sport/music opportunity, networking, etc Don't come off like you're desperate for a man, and don't be desperate for a man. Don't let age or people pressure you. You can either start or contribute/respond to a conversation to break the wall between you. Compliments help. Let them know some thing you admire about/on them- looks, scent, smile, confidence. Be genuinely interested in them, not the idea of them. Offer to help, if they need some thing. (Don't get out of your character- no do too much). Offer to pay if the opportunity presents itself. (This can easily be abused. Spend, not invest expecting ROI.lol). Be prepared to be turned down and move on without insults. (C'est la vie). But to be on the safe side, simply be born-again, know how go hear God and learn to walk in obedience to God's will. He knows best how to direct your life better than you can, including the people you should let into your life and why. Overcoming fear of rejection actually opens us to doors of opportunities in life. I hope this helps. |
Amotolongbo:It is truly worrisome. The falling away is massive. I pray God shows mercy on the East because of His faithfuls and for the sake of the future generation. |
YesDaddyTill203:And you have become your own idol. |
God1000:Simple question- What is the protest for? Your answer presently will be different from the next person because it is a faceless and agenda-less protest so far. Let there be a face/body who highlights the demands of the people. The way pre-politician Oshiomole used to do with NLC. Then he/they can be the point of contact between the leaders and the led/followers/masses. And can be held accountable. Is this too much to ask? Do you really want a reenactment of EndSars that went out of control? |
flokii:Lagos is not performing very well, but relatively well. And yes, the protesters should pick the log of wood in their own eyes first before pointing fingers at the speck in the eyes of others. |
ShogunNoName:What is doing is very commendable and honestly God bless him. He is helping this GenZ know the difference beteen Normal and Abnormal. Because our generation has failed them with the kinda role models we handed down to them. |
stanley70:Any thoughts on Squad? |
Donaldoni:Bible forbids incest with immediate relatives. |
MaxInDHouse:Been meaning to ask you, do you now drink the holy Communion now? |
achorladey:I greet you chief. Trust you're keeping spirit, soul and body together. |
HQofGilhem:Thanks for sharing. Grace multiplied to us all. |
Iagos:All this is contingent on an reliable database. FG needs to conduct an effective census for these bills and policies to effectively produce results and not become another avenue for embezzling public funds. |
Moniter0:You're still about this hypergrace doctrine? If indeed you seek the Truth, may God have mercy on you and grant you mercy. But if you are a tare, God's judgment is upon you. |
Mrchippychappy:When God decides to show a person His Mercy, na so the matter dey be. Old things have passed away, behold all things have become new. Even witches, terrorists, herbalists, ritualists, cultists, prostitutes, scammers, atheists, have been converted and are being converted when they obtain God's mercy. |
Adaiobanyi1:Bless God. It's mutual. Your song lifted me as well. Kindly follow back. Thanks. |
Adaiobanyi1:Inspired. Good vibes too. More grace sir. God bless his works in you, through you and to His glory in Jesus name |
immortalcrown:Yes, my sentiments too. I think the husband is bringing it out of her. Still, we should celebrate her growth. Some will still not "gree for love" ![]() |
immortalcrown:True. It's relatively easier to reciprocate to someone who plays their part right. However true love is unconditional, it is just your nature whether it is reciprocated or not. May God help us to be true lovers. And may God separate us from leeches in Jesus name. Amen. |
Valoromega:Was she forced into the marriage? Was it a marriage outside wedlock? Did you make promises to her you're not fulfilling? |
Gistmedia10:Life is deep. |
