Can you imagine as big as Ejigbo is.
If there is a good hospital, he would possibly be still alive.

It is high time the well traveled Ejigbo people come together and think of how to develop their town, if the government isnโ€™t showing to be responsible.
Well said.
However there's no coincidence in the spirit.
Quite unfortunate that he would die simply from an unnecessary display by politicians. What was the essence of "releasing"?

His grieving mother should summon the courage to confront those who murdered her son, no matter their influence. The PA of the deceased has already given account of the primary suspect.
The Prince should be charged with murder.

How focused are you?

In an age flooded with so much actitivities begging for the human attention- online and offline, it becomes imperative to learn and hone a very important skill- the ability to be focused and stay focused.

According to the English Dictionafy, Focus can be defined as concentration of attention.
Learning to be focused begins with identifying your goals and your distractions. Then knowing your priorities and setting the order of your priorities right.

What are Goals and what are Distractions?
A goal is a result that one is attempting to achieve.
A distraction is some thing or some one that diverts one's attention.
Hence distractions are things, people and activities that divert one's attention from their goals.

To mitigate the risk of distractions , it is therefore important to set priorities.
Priority is simply an item's relative importance.
Priorities are subjective.
What is priority for A may some times be distraction for B and vice versa. This is noteworthy.

Is this not enough reason to be worried?

The more reason we should pray for the president and appreciate his proactive measures to correct decades of mismanagement of his predecessors.
Wetin Buhari see run na Him Asiwaju dey contend with. This is not the time to play partisan politics but to support the incumbent and his cabinet.

God willing, all his policies will begin to yield results and impact in the nearest future. Rome wasn't built in a day. We cannot wish away the present hardship.

Alright Nairalanders, let's talk about our experiences pertaining to the aforementioned topic.

Have you lend a friend money? How did it turn out? Did they pay back on time? Have you lost relationships due to this?

This thread should be fun...
I hardly borrow money. And when I do it becomes priority to repay before or as at when due.

Unfortunately I realized we are not wired the same.
Borrowing is a norm for some. And at such they become over-indebted and unable to repay as at when due or unable to repay in full or unable to repay at all. It hurts to have to "change it" for them but some times it is necessary.

Some borrow with the intention not to repay simply because they are dishonest or fraudulent. It is important to discern such.

Some borrow with a sense of entitlement, as if having done you other favors they should not have to repay. I have seldom fallen under this category. grin

I work in a microfinance and we come across all sorts of personalities.
Like a poster here said, only lend out what you are able to part with. Don't put yourself in a fix just to help out another.

What I have come to find, and this is quite deep.
God himself is the one dealing with some people as a punishment. Lending such a one could actually cause you to experience a blockage in your finances.
For some, it is test, and you will be blessed for being a blessing to such. God grant us more wisdom and grace.

Truth is this is not an attack on TB Joshua, he's already dead.
This is not even an attack on his synagogue/church, they're thriving, even stronger than when he was alive.

This is an attack on believers who will through this allegations commit blasphemy.

Jackanda1:
I was asking were you truely born again before atheism?

I was born again in 2012. In 2013/2014 i discovered nairaland and followed comments from seun and other atheists from nairaland.

I remember when seun posted 'every atheist must be outspoken'.

It was strange to find out that there are people in this world who think different. Moreso, they questioned and analysed the bible, i couldn't resist this new knowledge. I fell hard.

I Have always lived and walked by faith. It was like been in a building for years and coming out for the first time. I now understand why JESUS said to become like a child.

I thought about my experience as a christian(falling when someone laid hands on me to recieve the holy ghost), the testimonies in church, answered prayer etc all of these i shoved to the back of my mind either as co-incidence or illusion.

I lost faith.
My journey with God has been quite a roller-coaster ride. Yes I was born again but not really properly taught in the new testament.

You know the great commission is basically to preach the gospel and be baptized in the name Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Matthew 28:19-20

I was baptized (soaked/knowledgeable) in the name of the Father snd the Son but niot properly knowledgeable about the person of the Holy Spirit. It was my exposure to pentecostals that gave me this requisite baptism/knowledge.

So while I was indeed born again, I was not not well taught. So when the attacks and life's challenges came, I was not well rooted to withstand them.

At the end of the day, it balls down to how rooted in Christ a person becomes after they experience the rebirth. And that's why a good church with sound doctrine is very important.

About Nairaland being the platform that exposed you to outspoken atheists, that's true. I didn't meet much atheists until Nairaland. And I don't know if that's a plus or minus for Seun considering his background.
But I believe it is a blessing in disguise.

Had you not experienced atheism, you would have been religious. Now having tried Jesus and also experienced apostasy which the scriptures prophesied as the great falling away, I believe you now know better.

And by the time you get back on your feet and become rooted in Christ again, you will be a better minister and counsellor to others even atheists. And if God wills, some of them will see the futility in any knowledge that exalts itself above the knowledge of God and will be saved. Former atheists actually make good ministers if/when we become as babes before Christ.

I hope this answered your questions?
Also don't forget our discussion on the baptism of water and spirit. Grace multiplied to you brother.

On the topic, I consider myself an authority. I have been into blogging and I have trained bloggers in the past.

Here is the thing.

There are different types of Blogging.

1. Linda Ikeji's kind of blogging where you have a website where people can type your url on their browser.

You see this one, its not profitable again. Don't waste your time. Your almighty Linda Ikeji and Stella and Olorisupagirl and all of them are losing traffic by the day. The only saving grace they have is the small traffic that comes through Google Search. If you are thinking of having your own website or blogger to start a blogging business, you are in for a long thing. Its not worth your time and effort. People don't visit blogs again.

2. Tunde Ednut kind of blogging where you use social media to post different things that comes to your mind.

Social media is the real thing now. If you know your way around it, you can be the next gistlover or Tunde Ednut. People wont type your url on their web browser but they will like to follow your Instagram and Facebook pages if you have something interesting and stupid to offer. Yes, something stupid because most social media bloggers post stupid stuffs before they can blow. People don't like things that make sense.

And if you want to go through this route, you must be really dedicated because the number of social media bloggers out there is mind boggling. Hundreds of new pages are created everyday with the aim to be like Gistlover or Tunde. The competition out there will kill you. But this one seems like a better route for you.

But if you are my brother and you ask me for advise, I will just tell you to go and do something else with your life.
Harsh reality but true. But if anyone has the grace, both blogging and content-creation are still very lucrative.

No 1: Wasn't an atheist. Just because you started drinking, smoking and becoming depressed does not mean you're an atheist. Educate yourself.

No 2: The moniker claims to have been an atheist. No proof of such. Anyone can claim anything here. They come here with some cooked up story about leaving atheism when they've been Christian their whole life

No 3: The account has been disabled and nothing to show he/she was an atheist except for a thread the person made to announce their "conversion". Probably one of those who'll cling to anything for help when life gets rough.

No 4: This account was registered March last year and only claims to have converted. Most posts from this account has nothing to do with religion.

No 5: This account registered on December 14 2018, and was last seen on December 14 2018. Made a conversion thread, commented on it 8 times and left. ๐Ÿ˜‚ Probably one of Jesusjnr's alternate accounts.

No 6: This one have always been a Christian since their registration on Nairaland. It's a faceless forum, anyone can claim anything here.

No 7: This person already said he wasn't an atheist.

I was expecting to see conversion stories from popular or outspoken atheist here not random accounts with little or nothing to show for it.
I'm sure Jesusjnr2020 is the one who created this thread with one of his many monikers. Jesusjnr2020 you've been on a mission to end Atheism on Nairaland since 2019 and this is all you could come up with? Just 7 random and unknown people? ๐Ÿ˜‚
The embarrassment you faced back then with the miracle stunt you tried to pull wasn't enough? ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
Nice try though.
Good observation.
I wasn't really much of an atheist on Nairaland. I was more in real life.
The story/testimony OP quoted was not my conversion from atheism but after I backslided. I believe I shared my conversion from atheism back then under my original moniker pressplay411.

I was an atheist before I found Grace and repented
In 2017.
Unfortunately I backslided in 2019 but didn't go back to atheism. Was more of apostate/agnostic. But I believed in God cos I had experienced Him but for some reasons I bckslided.

Then found grace to rededicate myself in 2022.
And by God's grace it's till eternity in heaven.

Once again, good observation. I was wondering why no one noticed.

You speak as if the burden of proof rests on me.
If you have a reason to believe, then you go to a good church where there are lots of evidences of God's goodness and even judgment, where people share their testimonies to as many who already believe or "desire" to believe.
Some of us have called believers more unprintable names than you but at the appointed time, by God's Grace and mercy, we now believe.
Not many receive this grace so you better start having a rethink. The earlier, the better for you and your family.
