Mbeki:they arrest them mostly because the go about with uniforms and id cards on them lol, ![]() |
I beg to be told if massob includes the states of rivers ebonyi, calabar and uyo etc.Part of the reason y biafra failed the last time around was because of these states .they felt left out and gave the federal troops access through the back door.what exactly is massob fighting for , independence from nigeria? ,if yes, are they to be ruled by the same foolish people who are in charge now. The core eastern states are filled with leaders who have no idea of what to do with the power or money that come their way.take Abia state for instance, the former gov, Orji ruled for 8 yrs yet his greatest achievement was enyimba winning the CAF champions league. The present gov is even more clueless.part of the reason why igbos wont even take any igbo man contesting for presidency seriously If massob are serious about their intentions, it should start with planning and determination, i believe the struggle must start by dealing with the govs and building up the eastern states to the economic level that most people are aware that they posses, and wen the time comes for them to declare independence ,they would have the support of the totality of the igbo people.I can assure u that as things are right nw, majority of the igbo people see the group along with its leader as attention seeking people. |
OgidiBoy:it seems like u haven't been anywhere else except USA, well i have a traveled a bit and i have seen uniformed officers in banks, whether private guards or actual police men i wouldnt knw, but the truth is a enforcement officer must be there to enforce law and order in case things get out of hand( from customers). My reference to S.W.A.T was to show u the difference between them and regular officers, guns and training. your regular officers are limited in the kind of gun fight the can engage in so in comes S.W.A.T. hw do u expect a mopol who has a canister of tear gas, and 2 magazines to face robbers who come in with machine guns and expect the mopol to hang around. so banks can hire private guards to secure there banks just to provide law enforcement in within and outside the bankin hall, as for the weapons they are allowed to carry, this is another matter, but i can assure you, no matter how many guards hang around the bank, determined robbers will likely get in, unless help comes from the police, which is where a unit well trained to engage in gun duels come in and not the regular mopol.thats y more officers are killed each year than robbers in naija. i agree with the bolded statement, but it will take a lot of time for that to happen becos of the mentality of the common nigerian. |
Good and bad move. in civilized countries, u dont to see more than 2 cops in a bank, and the dont carry AK-47 rifles, only pistols, if there is a robbery , the police is alerted and they move in with S.W.A.T or other specially trained police unit. but here in naija, the mopols are just a bunch of irresponsible officers that enjoy barking and beatin up people. I believe its about time the police have a specially trained unit that can carry heavy firearms and match robbers one on one like in other countries and should only be called into action wen needed. so good move by the IG(banks shld provide there own security) , but bad move in that if robbers attack, its still our ill trained police/mopol dat would still face them. Recently in opebi , where i work, robbers struck at a sharp show room, and there is this GTB bank close to my office, come and see the way mopols attached to the bank were pulling off their uniforms and running along side civilians, left the bank ,workers and customers to their own fate lol. after the robbers left, some mopols from area F arrived at the scene, shooting in the air and this was almost about 4o minutes after the robbers had gone unchallenged.come see laugh from people wey dey around. |
PurestBoy:Guy did u watch the first leg of the match, barcelona are fantastic but are weaker wen playing away from home against very good teams, am sure most people didnt notice that fact in last yr's champions league season. even against stuggart of germany, the struggled and barely survived until the got back to the nou camp for the second leg. Understand that football is all about tactics, no team could match barca by playing free flowing football, u have to counter attack them and defend very well, that was what huddink did wen he was in charge of chelsea, mourinho at intermilan, and even rubin kazan of russia.the only silly coaches who wanted to show off there attackin tactics(ferguson and wenger) were embarrased ,especially ferguson his team looked foolish through out the final of the match . back to mourinho, his first meeting with bacerlona was bad but cant balme him much, cos the players themselves were confused and seemed overwhelmed by the occasion , ozil, benzema, di maria and co.none had even faced a barca team before.and the coach got his tactis wrong by opting to play free flowing football instead of counter attacking. I still believe that mourinho can get back at barca, but he needs to work on those players cos the team is just not ready yet, ronaldo- very good but selfish, holds on to the ball for too long, needs others to start scoring as well di maria-- too weak for my liking ,too much skill but no brains ozil- best buy for madrid, very very intelligent, indeeds to be stronger and show more presence on the field( was lost against barca) benzema- dont knw his wat his prob is, maybe lack of confidence, cos he needs to assist ronaldo in terms of goal scoring khadira-- also needs to show more presence on the field, gets lost as well diarra-strong and energetic, but too rough and trying to hard to impress, makes bad tackles carvalho- brillant defender but cant do it alone, needs someone as good as him in the center but unfortunately, there is no one marcelo- good going forward, but terrible defending ramos- same as marcelo so can the special one beat the spectacular one for the remainder of the season? yes its a possibility but he would need to get his team to start scoring and to keep tight in the middle and at the back. |
when there was a religious crisis in the north and the easterners decided to retaliate against the muslims, it was well reported that Muslims in the east where hidden from mobs by xtian friends and neighbors, so the real question is can the typical northern muslim do the same for his fellow xtian . ifyalways:well ify if u r wondering if the bus attack took place, yes it did, it was widely reported in the papers, bt i was going to ask the dude on whose side he actually is on. by the way , r u from ahia azu local govt in IMO state ![]() |

apples and oranges mate. hillary clinton had good experience as a senator before contesting for the presidency. Remi on the other hand has no political experience. the main thing though is that she performs, if elected. and before she became a senator, wat experience did she have apart from being the wife of a politician, so let Remi contenst as well to be a senator, from there who knows ![]() |
Its a question of misplaced priorities.Finland is a nation that is 100% literate and allocates over 50% of its budget to education. But here in Nigeria its the opposite.Education is made up of three ingredients students, teachers and infrastructure. Students- no longer serious or interested in getting educated, no self motivation or self inspiration, don't know how to study or don't study at all. So i guess that the percentage that passed are those who dug deep enough , went the extra mile(by hook or by crook)and understand the value of education. Teachers--- old school, my opinion is that most of them have no business teaching in this present jet age. they have nothing to pass to the students. Most of the teachers we have are in the profession by chance and not by choice and as such have no interest in the performances of the students. In fact some of them are no better than the students. Infrastructure-- practically nonexistent as far as govt schools are concerned , at least we can thank some private schools for putting up some good infrastructure. So now how do u get to teach students wen the environment itself is not conducive. deal wit those three factors and things would begin to take shape. |
