Good morning guys, I'm a winter hopeful and I quickly wanna get clarification based on laminated docs....cos most of my docs were laminated. Pls house, does the German embassy or any of their institutions raise brows in this regard ? Many thanks as I anticipate your kind response to my curiosity.

Kindly note that I've channeled this same question to the German student visa enquiry thread...but none seem to kinda do justice to my question. I'll appreciate if someone can bail me out from here.

Thank you.

We were expecting a comment from the enemy of the country on this thread. but we never knew it's gonna come up so soon.

Arresting Doctors that will do anything fraudulent to make money is something bad to you right?

But why do good news such as this make you people so sad and unhappy?!

Master,

Your response is funny grin wink

Anyway, I only know of Hildesheim for MSc in Data Analytics.

Sincerely speaking, those are just names. Your experience and what you have to offer is actually paramount to the Germans. Fine, you have a good interest in data analytics, but you can also learn this while studying International Management, Information systems, International business with Informatics and other courses related to management or Sciences. I know that schools in Canada, USA, UK, Australia offers these specialized courses in droves but Germany is just more of engineering.

Moreso, Germany has everything to make you succeed if you pursue the goal. I have worked with quite some big companies and I can tell you that what you study at the Uni may be different from your normal day to day routine. I have seen a Software developer becoming a Risk analyst, I have seen a chemical engineer student become a Business Intelligence consultant, and so on. At times, we have to weigh our options and pick the best for ourselves

So, what I´m saying in Essence is to get a study place, develop yourself thru various online medium, participate in meet-ups, go for internship to help strengthen your data analytics skills using R-Studio, Python, JupiterLab, and other Data Minning and Analytics software.. ofcourse, I´m also not a Fan of the eastern part of Germany... Lol... No offence to the East-siders though but look through the western part, they have more schools than any region in Germany. Also, look at the Northern and the southern part. I bet you´ll find lots of school and courses that would suit your need.

I wish you all the best in your pursuit bro.

Gemeinsam sind wir starke !

Brotheerrrr!!!!! Man pikin gatz ease off sometimes nah...over seriousness dey wound person wink

However, you have never cease to beat my imagination with regards to my plight...sincerely, you've done a lot of justice to most of what I consider as an impediment and you equally broaden my horizon with your apt response. I salute your sagacity sir.

Albeit, I can only pray and hope this my very ambitious DE journey comes to pass as desired. By the way, I maintain to adjust my marital status before then, I dunno if you're a guy or a lady but anywhich way two things must be involved between us in the long run(just kidding) grin grin

Happy Sunday @dolpaz.

Mind if I pm you ?

Hi Bro,

The race is not for the faint hearted. well-done. I hope summer will click for you.

However, The V.O does not care about your age. even if you´re 40, there´s no problem. You only have to explain to the V.O what you have been doing in the past years. make sure you have an up to date CV when applying.

Moreso, you´re going for a nice course and you should have no problem. but ensure you start learning German in order to speed up your chances of getting a Job.

Now, at 34 you´re single and have gotten a job, please know that you´ll be paying almost 35% of your salary into taxes for being single to the German Government. you won´t understand this until you get a job that pays you around 4k euros, and you end up getting 2,450 in your account. The tax get reduced if you´re legally married and gets further reduced if you have a kid, and so on.

Getting your choice Lady is kinda hard to find here in Germany, unlike UK, US. everyone is hustling to make ends needs. Its your choice not to marry and I respect your opinion but my honest advice to you to make hay while the sun shine.

Cos when you come here, you´ll want to settle in with lectures, language barrier and also find jobs to survive. Its sometimes depressing here but as a Naija guy, you should be fine.

Anyway I wish you all the best and hope to see you in DE

Gemeinsam sind wir starke !

Woah!!! Amazing, you did quite a great justice to most of my shared concerns, I dunno how to thank you well enough for the effort and time you made out to beat my worries.

Now I understand better and hey! to whom it may concern, this is an open proposal, let's get married already before I got caught up in the web of underpayment in Germo grin

However, I'll appreciate it again if u can touch the area I mentioned about a more fairer location that could be recommended as a best pick for choice of school with an exemption of Eastern Germany.

My apologies if I stress you any further.

Seven Blessings @dolpaz

Pls o...I got a question to ask...I've been nurturing the ambition to study my M.sc in Germany since 2yrs back but due to lack of funds I was taken aback sad

Hitherto, as it were I'm a summer 2020 hopeful and I really wanna give it my all this time around.

However, I'm a bit sceptical about my age and marital status(34 & single) embarassed whether they may cause an impedimemt or limit my chances to get an admission or Visa with regards to these two major factors(status) and frankly speaking I won't be getting married anytime soon tho shocked grin

By the way I'd be gunning for Business Intelligence & Data Analytics.

Howbeit, viable suggestions from a German Residence with vast knowledge about choice of school apart from Eastern Germany in relation to my intended course would be very much appreciated by doing justice to my mystery in view of the above.

N.B : I've done my own research as well, gone thru daad.de...I only need a first hand info based on experience...dasall.

Thanks in advance smiley

Wow.. reading your story got me seriously emotional. It is a tough world, isn't it?

So, I will be blunt here, because considering your experience and age, you don't really have a lot of time for experiments. Please if you are below 25, just skip over this message and pretend you didn't see anything.

Mister, you don't have a lot of time playing around and experimenting things, doing tough Msc in Germany and still looking for work here and there after studies.

Travelling abroad and 'making it' is a betting game, you either make it or not. Or, you get a job that will change your destiny and direction in the popular name of 'hustle'. Consider a petroleum engineering graduate traveling 'abroad' for Msc, got bad grades and couldn't get a good job and instead decided to do the 'hustle' and do menial jobs, for how many years? A lot of his mates back home would be far better than him.

But, if you insist you are going to test the waters, I will have some few words for you. First of all, try southern Germany, that's where most of the industries are located and plenty jobs can be found.

Yes, Science and Tech. is damn important, I mean this is not a third world country. As someone suggested, you can try Business Informatics and any other stuff that deals with coding and makes you look like a geek/ nerd. But if that is almost impossible for you, try and look at the area of 'machine learning'. I am a java developer and I know that I might be almost useless in a coming couple of decades, a lot of my job would be done by 'expert' well-trained machines. One other line is the area of software testing and renewable energies.

Also, there are vocational training (after your MSc) that you might take advantage of, I heard that the German government can support you, and then you keep paying your debt back after you finish and got a job. As long as you contribute to the country's GDP (and you pay your taxes), you are welcomed infinitely!

Well, there could be more paths though, but do you really have a lot of time playing around and gambling?

I truly wish you all the best, please don't forget that: it is also allowed to risk been seen in all of your glory!

Thank you so much for this blunt beautiful piece shared with deep concern in a bid to set me in the right direction, they're really an eye opener...i've taken cognisant note of all the stated salient points you raised above and I will work on them as advised...i also appreciate you for making out time to address my issue in the most appropriate and satisfiable manner.
Danke.

Mind if I pm you too, pls cool

Thank God you know that the West is so inclined with Science & Tech. So you too should tie your Discipline to Science & Tech. You can

search for courses like Business Informatics, Management & Engineering, Business Process Management or Business Analytics. All these

courses have Tech tied to them.

For you to get a good job after studies, you have to get Good Grades. Have some Technical skills set, and Speak

Fluent German
.

As for your Age enn, there are a lot of people older than you are in this forum. Germans don't care about your age and age is not a barrier

so far you have what it takes.

I believe I have answered this under Q1.

Serishocked usly?

Are you telling me you don't have a Career Plan by now?

Well, after your Masters, you would have been exposed to the Preferred Career path wanted in any Industry. So study first. biko

This is just the main thing I got out of the epistle the rest with a few editing will do well in a motivational letter smiley

I'm not experienced in all these stuff myself but this is what I have to say...
When it comes to schooling age is not a problem to Germany, the reason Germany is known to produce the oldest graduates in the world.
We all want a better life but you have to make the effort of research yourself.
No one will tell you " Mr mykohayz go to Stuttgart and study or Munich is the happening place where students are paid 25euro per hour or if you study a bachelor in Gender & Diversity you'll start earning 150k euro/yr or Hamburg has jobs everywhere you go or money flows in Berlin" even if they know nobody will tell you even Dangote hasn't truly revealed how he became the richest Black man.
Being confused is a good thing, it shows you're smart & want progress...it's only a fool who will be in a bad situation and be comfortable about it. Just pray to God for a focus.
Everything is possible so long as you have the will power, courage and a good plan.

Thank you very kindly. smiley

Hello Good People.

I need a well-grounded international student, particularly, a well experienced German resident who knows about the nature of the country's economical space candid advise, to kindly let me out of my confused state and shed light on some confronting issues that seems gloomy to me so I can set my priority right just to aid my decision making process. Here goes,

I'm a single guy of 32yrs old, a graduate of Unilag since 2013, I'm currently out of job, but I feed from hand to mouth based on the skills I acquired which literarily is my basic means of survival since I opted out of my banking job in 2014. In the process, I lost my mum to a terminal disease during this period due to health issues late last year. I've been in business before but it collapsed due to change in government policies and I lost a whooping sum of over N2.1ml...now, a very rare fortune is about to smile at me yet again and I do not wish to experience another form of such dilemma never again as I fear the present day Nigerian society with so many economic and social vices bedevilling her at the moment, hence...i had to consider the probability of reinvesting amongst these woes and also looking back, I dont want to experience such a downfall again....it's been so tough all along(chai! man pikin don suffer).

I stumbled on this thread and the Canadian thread some months ago, but my spirit lies herein...coupled with the fact that the Canadian student visa issuance is a thug of war and the probability of getting one is going to be slim based on my own status, since then...I've been a silent observer and an ardent follower of this thread while I was trying to research on a legal escape route out of this country to go hustle elsewhere in a more saner clime to make me become a better version of myself before somebody runs psycho, having gone thru this thread, I must say that I'm "wowed and amazed" by what I've read so far, down to the success stories of quite a number of people that have made it through and I sincerely wish to become part of such a success too if all my fears and confusion could be properly addressed to a reasonable level of desirable content, so based on this I intend to further obtain a Master's degree in my field of study with serious determination in order to push my life forward from my present condition. Now to the issue;

1. My discipline bothers on management course "Business Administration" to be precise, considering the west is so inclined with science and technology, what relevance does my course of study possess in landing me a good and satisfying job o'er there after school.

2. I'm seriously bothered about my age, to even think of applying for winter next year or summer the following year due to financial constraints for now, but would be assuredly ready by late next year.
What do you think my fate would be after graduation in landing a good job and not just anyhow job bearing in mind I'd be 35-36yrs on completion ?

3. What career paths are available for a Master's degree holder in management course other than a science and techs graduates in that country, tho I have a skill as a professional painter(Interior and exterior buildings, Studio Sets etc).

4. In light of the above, if peradventure, there's a slim chance of making it through and landing a well paying job based on my status, what would you suggest I do to either improve myself or any thriving skills sellable over there that I can acquire before I move.

5. Lastly, which state would you suggest I settle in for affordability which would easily aid my progress while in school and after school.

Well for me, it's all about the job, living a comfortable life and helping my family back home, I'm sorry to have bored y'all with my long epistle, kindly take it laidat.

I look forward to diverse opinions and advice for better clarification.
Gurus in the house, kindly help do justice.

Neccki, Jigba, Honourableseyi, eke40seven, Mr big man.
Thanks.
