If it is a religion of peace, why is it that it is only in the name of islam people perpetrate havoc? We are not hearing any members of other religions killing in the name of their religion but only islam. What an evil religion. May God deliver the world from allaah (Satan) who pretends to be God.

There are three type of muslim. namely,
1. Moderate muslim : These are muslim with limited knowledge about the religion and way of the founder of the religion, these muslim only know about the five daily prayer, they fast during month of Ramadan, they perform all the beautiful and colorful islamic rituals and holiday. I was this type of muslim 4 years ago,majority of southwestern and middle belt muslim are in this category.

2. The hardliner muslim: these are the real muslim, muslim that follow the way of the prophet, they are jihadist, they hate non muslim and strife to establish Islamic caliphate and sharia, they kill apostate, kill people for blasphemy. All these terrorist organization are the real muslim.

3. Muslim apologies: these are the most dangerous sect of Muslim, these are Muslim that uses lies and deceit to defend Islam and package it to the gullible public.

I think its high time we give societal laws its due as its much more effective in keeping people good than some promise of afterlife punishment

Is there a difference? One could make a case for religion-as-a-mental-illness. And thats not meant as an insult to the religious.

Religion does alter and influence behavior. Sometimes the alteration is harmless or even beneficial; but in a lot of cases, it affects perception of reality in a fundamentally negative way.

To put it into perspective; if a man states that he believes that Superman saved him from a fatal car crash; he would be most likely considered mentally ill.
But if another man claimed that the hand of god saved him from a similar car crash; he will be considered as a blessed person.

Some would argue that religion is socially acceptable mental illness...
I wouldn't go that far; but there is a solid case for such an argument...

Religion has always been the tool used by northern elite to dominate on Nigeria. The colonial master really messed this country up by making northern Nigeria more powerful in number than the south...kwara, kogi, Benue, southern taraba, have no business been in the north.

Economic pressure will always be in southern state favour, the north may dominate governers but the south will always be ahead in development because they have the culture, are more secular and more democratic
