Deemas:Conde is not Fulani. Fulani are the majority but other ethnic groups in guinea have ganged up to sideline them due to the excesses after independence |
candidtalk:The presidency is coming to the south and the south-west is well positioned within the Apc to clinch the ticket, the Yorubas have the structure to win the primary and will mount a serious challenge to win it. The Igbos have been going around calling us all sort of names because their God Jonathan lost an election. throughout the history of the nation, they have always been going with the north ( is understandable) and we never called them any name, we always play the opposition. The Yoruba will always fight for their interest, access the situation and find a best way to navigate the situation. |
kettykin:Zoning should be between the north and the south since the north has three geopolitical zones while the south also has three. When it comes to the south, whomever that is interested can vie for the presidency, nobody will give you on a plate. |
Unlimitk:I think I am with you on this. We also need to start investing back home instead of staying in big cities without investing back home. I am a registered engineer and I have worked and been to so many states in the east, southwest is more organized, with better infrastructure in most localities than the east but the Igbos build more home at home given the illusion than the east is more developed but the reality is quite a contrary. We Yorubas need to come back home more, stop these senseless superstitions believe that some village people are after us. If we can invest more in our locality, come back home more, our areas will be much better for it. |
AreaFada2:Get over it, it is 4 years already. I wonder when you Jonathan supporter will get over his lost presidency |
horsepower101:This is wrong, India is a very diverse country with more than 2 thousand ethnic groups. This is from a quick google search India has more than two thousand ethnic groups, and every major religion is represented, as are four major families of languages (Indo-European, Dravidian, Austroasiatic and Sino-Tibetan languages) as well as two language isolates (the Nihali language is spoken in parts of Maharashtra and the Burushaski language is spoken |
selemempe:I am a Yoruba and I will be happy to see Nigeria disintegrate into manageable units. It will be better for Yoruba race to have a country of only Yoruba speaking people of Southwest and north-central Nigeria, so, I'm in support of Biafra struggle but I will not let you rewriting history and pointing accusing fingers at others |
gidgiddy:This is very far from the truth, Nigeria is a country of its own, trading with countries she chooses to trade with. Our largest trading partner is the Chinese, Indians and Americans. Our system of government is modelled over that of America. The British Empire is long gone, they have close to zero influence on how Nigeria is been governed. The northerners are not the board of directors, don't let your hatred of others killed you. The economy of Nigeria is run by southerners, the organised public sector is dominated by southerners, there are 36 states across the federation and each of these states reflect the ethnic demography of Nigeria, each of these states have governors democratically elected by the people of these states. There are southern and northern politicians. Since the return to democracy in 1999, we have had 2 southern presidents and 2 northern presidents, tell me how the northerners are the board of directors |
selemempe:Stop rewriting history, we are all not comfortable with the security problem and all the myriad of the problem affecting the north today but the truth still remains that the Biafra war was caused mainly by Igbo political elites that want to dominate the Nigeria state. The military coupe of 1966, was an Igbo coupe that effect leaders from other ethnic groups, the aftermath of the coupe show the real intention of the Igbos, from the unitary government of ironsi to the marginalisation of other ethnic groups. The north never disgrace awolowo, Nigerians play politics of sentiment, people vote base on either religion ( north) or tribe (south), Igbos are also as guilty as northerners in denying awolowo the presidency. Bokoharam and Fulani herdsmen are as a result of the failure of government, deep extreme religious intolerance in the north, poverty and illiteracy. It wasn't directly created by the north to keep Nigeria backward. The igbos, yorubas and the Hausas are all guilty in making Nigeria what it is today, stop blaming the northerners alone |
SLAP44:Don't mind that hypocrit. Nigeria is a country of two different nations, the southern half will be a comfortable middle income country with a per capita income above $10,000( ppp) without the north. it is country with poverty rate of 6% in Lagos and 80% in zamfara. it is a country of literacy rate of 86% in indo and 46% in kano. |
ChristianEast:But you and your so called igbo brothers were all over the moon during Jonathan presidency. What has really changed? |
ContentedK:But event from 1960 as always shown igbos to be the hausa_fulani ass licker. In this Nigeria of today, we only have three classes, the rich (masters), the middle class (the foreman) and the poor (the slave) |
budaatum:Religious extremism is the elephant in the room, religion should only be taking at face value, the moment you believe in everything written in some ancient test writing by illiterate the moment you stop reasoning like modern human. The north would have been progressive and be like south west with religious tolerance between Christians and Muslim if the jihad of Usman Usman fodio didn't happen. Emir sanusi is one of the beneficiaries of the feudal ruling class killing the north, with symbols like him around nothing can change. |
Ikegift4real:Shiite are not really muslims to an average Sunnis Muslim. They are a religiou minority and they happened to be northerners, if they happened to be from the south or ethnic minority from the north, they wouldn't be discriminated like this |
MetaPhysical:I was having this debate with one of my supposed educated fulani friend this evening. He quickly raised the issue of cattle grazing route, he said and I quote " there was cattle route put in place by the colonial masters to allow the movement of herdsmen to move from the north to the south and all across west Africa during dry season but due to population explosion, most of the route has been taking over by farmers ". I quickly pick out flaws in his arguement. To begin with, cattle route were not created by colonial master, what we have in place was an unofficial route ply by herdsmen during dry season from far north and southern Niger republic to northern Guinea savanna in places like southern Kaduna, Niger, taraba, adamawa and northern Cameroon. Later, the northern colonial government now made all these route to official hence all the cattle route are in Northern Nigeria. Secondly, most of the communities where these routes passes especially those in middle belt, were not made aware of these routes, compensation were not paid to the indigenous people in these area, hence no legal backing to the route |
cronsberg:There is a different between freedom of movement and freedom to constitute nuisance, freedom to freely kidnapped and raped host communities, freedom to openly break the law of the land and act as if one is above the law. We the yoruba of south west and north central will not allow fulani to continue to behave in this manner As an hypocrite that you are, why not ask yourself if hausas, nupes, kanuris, gwari and thousands of other northern ethnic groups are not living and doing business in the south. The problem is not movement of people but movement of a dangerous terrorist group that need to be cut down as soon as possible. The forming of ethnic militias is important because we have lost confidence in this nepostic regime of Buhari |
Kagarko:Does fulani criminal equates to all the hausas, nupe, kanuris that live in the south ? In this modern time, people don't move around with cows that end up destroying farms, people don't set up camps in different forest to kidnap and rape people without consequences. Fulani herdsmen are terrorists and must be treated like one. If all yorubas are chased out of the north, we will equally chased out all the hausas and other core northern group, we will stop all those truck that transport petroleum and manufacturing commodities to the north, also, be ready for total disintegration of the Nigeria state and be ready to loose all the free crude oil money in the process. You don't preach gospel of peace with a barbarian, people that behave like they are in stone age, you only do that with men that want to progress and live like civilised people. Nigeria is a British experiment that is nearing its grave |
goaldynboy:Don't mind that illiterate. We have a president that is not intelligent enough to even run a local government, he talks like a typical village man that can't rise beyond narrow ethnic bigotry |
lapo:I am yoruba but restructuring is not about creating more unproductive state that will always depend on the center. Restructuring is all about decentralization the government and allow each federating unit to be independent of the centre. What we need is oyo state that I'll be able to generate her money, organized her police force, create as much local government as she needs, have her parliament and able to implement her policies without too much influence from the center |
edlion57:Buhari is a confirm illiterate, he knows close to nothing about how things work. How can a president of a country opened his mouth say such rubbish |
Buckubuck:Don't mind him. We have too many educated illiterate in this country, people that don't have a clue forming to be an expert. Electricity is a serious business, you need heavy investment that can only come from private investment but the problem is that the sector is not attractive because of our practice of low tariff, poverty, vandalism etc. With a centralized power system where everything goes to the power grid, you will region like the north that can't pay for electricity. How do they want private film to invest billions into such a industry? |
Nasir123:Electricity is not just ordinary, this is what most of you fail to understand. Electricity involves generation, transmission and distribution whic requires heavy investment. For us to have uninterrupted electricity in Nigeria, we need to completely privatize the power sector, for us to attract the type of investment required we need to review our tariff which is one of the lowest in the world. |
MetaPhysical:Please can you share me the page address? We are tired of one Nigera, the yoruba nation must be free from the savage of north and east. |
tuniski:You just don't know yet, th yoruba nation is at war as we speak. |
tuniski:Don't mind these guys, they always talk about going to Canada as if when they get their, they will be picking money on the ground. 1% Nigeria is over 2million people, how do you provide jobs, housing for such high number of people and what will such people coming from a poor third world contribute immediately to the Canadian society and economy |
tuniski:War is inevitable, war might be the best thing to ever happened to the yoruba nation at this point in time. The faluni herdsmen are mere criminals but the underlying problem with th core north is we will never developed as a country with them. They are incubating poverty, extremism religious intolerance etc. We need to break away and have our distinct yoruba country for all yoruba speaking people of Nigeria. The so called fulani elites know that they don't have the resource and knowhow to fight long war with yoruba or any ethnic group in Nigeria without the support of one group from the south, they will need port to bring in ammunition, they will need fuel to power their machine , without the south, the northern elites will be dead |
blackboy:You guys give too much respect to these fulanis in this part of the world. The fulani militia don't have the knowhow or the fear factor that you all are attributing to them, they just happen to have access to looted gun from Libya. The Malian, burkinabe and so many other sahellian groups are dealing with them as we speak, the only saving grace is the shield from presidency and gullible northerner who take them as brothers. |
poseidon12:You should also thank your white master for enslaving millions of your countrymen, thank them for creating an artificial state that lump 200 plus ethnic group in one shit hole, also thank them for the over 100 years of colonization and the continuous exploitation of African states, while at that, thank them for all the pseudo-science of the 19th and 20th century sponsored by them to dehumanized your kind in other to justify for all the atrocities they have committed against the black race. The way most of you Christians religious zealot reason is not different from a man suffering from mental slavery. Religious is really a cancer to the black race |
[s] blessedolu: Complete trash. Money ritual doesn't exist |
Gbemmyxal:I can bet my life they all those shit you wrote there are as real as Santa. Wake up bro, money ritual is not real, it is quite unfortunate that people like you reinforcing this stupid belief is the reason why thousands of desperate lazy Nigerians are taken the life of their fellow country men all in the guise of money ritual |
ChristianNorth:There are millions of atheist in Nigeria but most of them are closet atheist because of the institutional discrimination and the power that religious people like you have in Nigeria. Religion doesn't make any sense to open minded people, the more you read and open your mind to logical explanation of the world around you the more absurd religion becomes |
Teewhy2:Please can you send me your number, I need to buy some polystyrene facial for a project here in Lagos. I need it urgently |
