Hey guys, For those that arrived in Canada before the first day of class. Did you get a health insurance during time before the first day of class? Did the Canadian visa officer request for the health insurance? If you paid for health insurance, which provider did you use? Thanks

Goshen22:You can't land in the States without a visa. Try KLM with stop-over in Amsterdam. |
Lance008:Hi, I don't know why that person told you so. A 1 year program isn't a criteria for getting a visa approval or rejection. You can apply for a Visa for any eligible program in a DLI. You should have adequate funds, social ties and documents. Read through past posts on this thread, you'll get an idea of the type of documents you need. My program is for 8 months, and I got a visa with no questions asked. Stay positive. |
#Rentals #Apartment I know it's a long shot but I thought I should give it a try. I'm searching for a 1-bedroom apartment in Waterloo area (close to Conestoga College, Waterloo campus). A spacious basement with private exit would be nice. Move-in date: May 1st, 2024 Please reach-out if you have any info. PS: Yes, I'm equally searching on rentals websites in Canada. |
JMG12:Hi @JMG12, I'm a bit lost in the process of applying for a visit visa for a minor. It appears the portal needs me to apply for a visa (for myself) + my baby. Making 2 visit visa applications, but I already have a study visa. Can you advise, and can I send you an email? Thanks |
JMG12:Thanks! |
Hi everyone, I have a baby that's about a year old and my spouse is currently applying for SOWP. I already have my visa stamped. Question: What do I need for my baby? Do I need to apply for a visit visa? Thanks! |
evansky:Yes, via Adobe. I really wonder what I'm doing wrong. |
evansky:Hi, are you currently applying for SOWP? I'm currently having issues downloading and uploading the forms from on the portal. Did you experience this? Thanks |
If anyone is currently applying for SOWP, please let's sync-up. I'm having issues with downloading and uploading IMM5707 and IMM1295e. Anyone having issues? Sorry to bother you again @OkukuOne, do you know if there're technical issues with the IRCC site? I've sent an email regarding the issues I'm facing. Thanks. |
Hey guys, anyone experience issues with uploading form MM1295? I filled all the mandatory information and it passed Validation check, but upload fails. None of the suggestions on the website applies to me. Do I need to fill Fax details, even though I don't have one? Thanks!

Hi @OkukuOne, thanks for been helpful on this thread! My program is for 8 months (starting May) and we're in the process of applying for a SOWP. --Question-- How long are you planning to stay in Canada? --My Answer-- Temporarily - more than 6 months Is this correct, or should it be "Permanently"? Thanks! OkukuOne: |
Nice. From all indications it appears we shouldn't be affected. Would be nice if the school admin could confirm too. How do you plan on proceeding with the SOWP? Are you applying as soon as you arrive in Canada, or are you applying before your arrival? AtoningBlood: |
Hi, I'm on this same ship. Kindly keep me posted whenever you get a response. Thanks AtoningBlood: |
Jengem:With the deplorable state of roads in Nigeria, drivers still move at 120km/hr, what do you think would happen when we have the "good roads"? #SpeedKills. |
May no nairalander have a victim in this accident by The Almighty God's grace. |

So he gets N500 cut , after making N10,000 for his employer/trainer and you make it sound so bad. How much do you, Toke Makinwa make for Mo Abudu and what's your cut compare to that? . This is the delusional idea that drives every "Tom, Dick and Harry" to go open their own business without any entrepreneurial skills and drive....and we all know where they end up...especially my fellow tailors, or fashion designers as they like to brand themselves. ![]() |
Authoreety:Heard of hire-purchase? . They don't have to buy it outrightly |
