For those that arrived in Canada before the first day of class. Did you get a health insurance during time before the first day of class?
Did the Canadian visa officer request for the health insurance?
If you paid for health insurance, which provider did you use?

You can't land in the States without a visa. Try KLM with stop-over in Amsterdam.

Hi, I don't know why that person told you so. A 1 year program isn't a criteria for getting a visa approval or rejection. You can apply for a Visa for any eligible program in a DLI. You should have adequate funds, social ties and documents. Read through past posts on this thread, you'll get an idea of the type of documents you need.
My program is for 8 months, and I got a visa with no questions asked. Stay positive.

I know it's a long shot but I thought I should give it a try.

I'm searching for a 1-bedroom apartment in Waterloo area (close to Conestoga College, Waterloo campus). A spacious basement with private exit would be nice.

Move-in date: May 1st, 2024

I'm a bit lost in the process of applying for a visit visa for a minor.
It appears the portal needs me to apply for a visa (for myself) + my baby. Making 2 visit visa applications, but I already have a study visa.

What do I need for my baby?

I filled all the mandatory information and it passed Validation check, but upload fails.
None of the suggestions on the website applies to me.

Do I need to fill Fax details, even though I don't have one?

My program is for 8 months (starting May) and we're in the process of applying for a SOWP.
--Question-- How long are you planning to stay in Canada?
--My Answer-- Temporarily - more than 6 months
Is this correct, or should it be "Permanently"?

Nice. From all indications it appears we shouldn't be affected. Would be nice if the school admin could confirm too.
How do you plan on proceeding with the SOWP?
Are you applying as soon as you arrive in Canada, or are you applying before your arrival?
