Pneumococcal and Rotavirus are new vaccines. They have not been subsidised by the govt yet. Private hospitals and some govt hospitals give it. You have to specifically request for it.

pcv is free where I am o.

@Lamdec congratulations. Please like favored gal said get a breast pump to see if u are lactating and how much u r lactating. Ir baby crying means he is not satisfied. Hmmm breastfeeding for 1hr chei weldone! Eat foods that will help u lactate. Eat food hot. Take alot of fluids. My baby also sucks alot at night. Funny though she doesnt open her eyes. Once she starts turning much I know its hunger. Not putting on the light in my room helps alot I guess.

I agree with u o. D silence kills d offender. But u know the big problem with silence? It eats up d offended. Slowly slowly destroys fellings. In the end you are just living with the person and using something else as consolation eg child or children. No b so marriage suppose be. But as e b so wetin person go do. Me sha o I have seen that silence is best. Painful but best. Cos no gra gra can solve this kind situation

I know a couple of women who drank it alot because that was what they craved. And they had healthy babies. Could the side effects be something we cant see

I wanted tp reach 6 months but just yesterday too one experienced mother told me d pros and cons. Dunno if am reasy for the cons.
However some mothers said I shld do ebf for 6 months but b putting little adult food on her tongue to taste.
Pls who used that method. Did it work?
I dont want to get frustrated cos then I wouod have resumed work

Hello Mamas. Am a ftm n I Ve been a silent reader n Ve decided to join this trend officially. Hope am welcome? Please I Ve a question. Am 3 months old baby is having catarrh( affecting his breathing) and cough. We took him to d clinic n we were given ceporex, vitc and piriton. But he is still coughing n d catarrh is still affecting him. Has anyone experienced this before? N what else can I give him. Thanks.

The consultant I saw refused prescribing anything. He said do the following
Keep warm
Breast feed well
Steam inhalation
Rub Metholatum on ribs
Be patient it will go. There is a reason why its called common cold p

I use private hospital. govt hospitals give only the basic vaccine which are most times free of charge. you need to go the extra mile to protect your child from other dieseases. some people feel those are expensive, l feel and believe prevention is better than cure. e.g vericella i.e chicken pox vaccine is 10k and heptatistis A is N16,800 in the hospital i used. I didnt pay for Measles, mumps and rubella, my health insurance covered for them. If you have a baby boy, endeavour to give him MMR... l read somewhere that mumps may cause impotence in a male child.

one vaccine l wont want any mother to miss is ROTAVIRUS not more than 10K in any hospital, but you will not experience incidence of diarrhoea and vomitting when your baby is teething and afterwards.


at 2 years the baby will take typhoid and meningitis vaccines;

Please when should the rota virus vaccine be taken

My lo 3 months also had d same issue. Took her to govt hosp saw a consultant. He checked her chest nd saw it was clear.he said I shld go home and continue breast feeding . Use steam inhalation nd Mentholatum. Say de wont gemme any drug. That I shld b patient it will go.

Based on my experience with my daughter, she may be about achieving a milestone, maybe she's about achieving neck control or something else.

My daughter experienced dramas for each change,when her neck wanted to firm up she started vomiting after each feed, her ability to seat brought fever, to crawl nko? One would have to carry her and stand before she'd sleep off. Initially, I was worried because my son didn't have any of that, but when I noticed the trend; I didn't bother myself so much anymore.

Experienced mothers and new mothers wey senior us oh please help me. I am in a state of confusion. My princess now cries alot. She started 3 days ago. Today she is 3 months. What could be wrong. Before she would sleep na war
She would cry and cry and u have to dance and dance before she would sleep. Before she would agree to sleep off in the rocker. Not anymore. She has cattarh also. D worse Is when I bring breast to her when she is sleepy. She wld scream.
Pls help me I am confused. What could be wrong with her

I guess it's the weather. My son had catarrh and cough for 2weeks + it was not easy for him. I give him vit C daily, I used eucalyptus oil inside water for him to inhale but no improvement. I took him to see a paediatrician, a full blood count test was done and nothing was wrong with him. D paediatrician told me not to give anything aside d vit c and that his immune system is suppose to fight it and I should be patient. He also prescribed Otrivine nasal drops and cough syrup. I used both for 7days and stopped. D catarrh lingered on for 2weeks and left on its own. It wasn't easy watching him breath tru his mouth but I followed d docs advice.

Thanks have started the vit C. I know how I feel when having cattarh so I can imagine a baby. Tho her mouth is usually closed

@mytestimony, proudmum, I have gotten to the point where I have started eyeing my bump and saying "shey you know Dangote's mother did not do all this turenche!"

I shall use B29 unless I see good behaviour! Sleeping through the night, eating your food, not making me change you 10 times a day! No screaming your head off because you're teething (baby cows and lions grow teeth, why are you the one making the most noise!! )

@proudmum I use persil detergent. Tho I prefer d scent of d liquid. D powdered is more economical.
Comfort is a conditioner. It is nt for washing. It is used after washing.
