It's not about money but morals and ethics. The poor Nigerian man gets a drivers license without a test because of ethics not because he is rich . The poor prayer house warrior who disturbs the neighborhood every night is not in jail because of ethics not because he is rich. The poor tailor who reconnects his cable after it is cut for failure to pay electricity bills in not in jail because of ethics not because he is poor. Let's get it straight, Ike's predicament isn't because he is wealthy. It is because the Nigerian ethics is different from the British ethics. Organ trade is illegal and taken seriously in the UK. If the ex deputy senate president put out an advert in Nigeria for kidney donors, he would receive more than 1000 replies with people ready to sell their kidney for as less as 20 million naira and as high as 200 Million naira. As long as he pays the kidney donor the agreed sum, the kidney donor will be happy to get his millions and lift his family out of poverty with one working kidney 😂. The church will pray for the kidney donor to heal on time, his family will celebrate his/her escape from poverty , the medical doctors will be happy that they've finally found a kidney and the police will dare not arrest a father who spent money to treat his daughter. That's our orientation. It's our ethics in Nigeria. In the UK, you do not have the right to buy a kidney even if the person agrees to sell his own kidney. It's a crime . That's what is called organ trade. To get a kidney, you must be included in a waiting list of prospective donees. Donation must not be paid for. You can't pass number 10 on the list and donate for number 11 on the list except your kidney or the organ you're donating doesn't match that of number 10. That's the ethics of the West. In Nigeria people would actually call you stupid, idiot and useless for donating your kidney free of charge. In the UK, it is actually a crime to pay a donor. The donor gets nothing. My judgment- I don't see anything wrong in changing the life of someone who chooses to donate his kidney by paying him millions for the donation. I sympathize with the Ekweremadus. On the other hand, if politicians built good hospitals in Nigeria, the kidney donor and donee would be happy by now. |
Nigerian politics is dominated by lawyers and bankers from what I've seen so far. Bankers to fund election and cover tracks and lawyers to defend uncovered tracks. Anambra for Instance- Peter Obi- Obiano - Soludo (CBN). Sanwo-olu- banker (succeeded Fashola- a lawyer). Shettima- Banker. Udom of Akwa Ibom State- Banker. (succeeded Akpabio a lawyer). Wike- Lawyer. Yemi Osinbajo- Lawyer. Too numerous to mention. 😂 Thanks for the corrections. He's nupe. |
This dude recently got his LLb. Currently a student at the Nigerian law school. He's a young guy. |
Workch:Like the name implies, Gross Domestic Product increases because of goods produced in a country. Imports are even subtracted from the GDP. Now let's get it straight. Those selling at the market are at best wholesalers. The bulk of them are retailers. At a typical construction market, traders sell Dangote cement, BUA cement or larfage. Whatever they have to sell in the market came from a source- Dangote, Bua or Larfage. Dangote group is a formal company that gives a near accurate estimate of the quantity of cement produced. His major business partners and distributors know how much they distribute. They know how many trucks of Dangote cement that are going to Anambra State for instance. Whatever the final consumers get at the market comes from those trucks. That's where they get the figures. A typical grocery market has Peak Milk, Beloxxi (crackers) biscuits, Milo, Indomie produced in Nigeria. The companies supplying the markets are formal and have data of how many trucks they distributed. Whatever you buy in the market comes from those sources. Even to subtract imports, the bulk of things brought into the country passed through check at the port and are recorded. That's how Nigeria is able to calculate its balance of payment deficit. No one is going to go to mechanic village to count how many Toyota Camry engines are there because whatever Toyota engine they have passed through check and was recorded at the port. To get the prices the products go for in the market is easy. The prices of two or three traders can be used. You can't sell a carton of Nasco cornflakes for 12,000 naira when others in your environment are selling for 10,000 naira. It is why I brought in the ANAP polls scenario of asking only a few percentage of the population. What may actually affect the calculation of the GDP are small-scale production. Like the farmer who processes her Garri, the student who bakes and sells her chin-chin, peanut and cake and the tailor who produces clothes for people daily. However, the impact of small-scale enterprises engaged in production cannot be compared to those of medium and large scale enterprises. It is also difficult to account for small-scale businesses in advanced countries like Us, UK , especially China etc. Smuggling and piracy can also affect the figures of imports. |
Workch:Did Anap polls ask up to 500 thousand out of more than 90 million voters who they will vote for? Even in the US, they're are open markets and informal dealings not accounted for. GDP is what it is- an estimate. |
Geminiivory:I dey Rivers State |
Sim is competent but has a relatively mediocre CV . However, I don't see that midas touch because he appears average at best. The ball is in his court to prove me wrong. At least Rivers State will have their first introverted and quiet Governor. Sanwo-Olu's CV is more inspiring. Sanwo Olu reached the pinnacle of his private career in Nigeria at Lead Merchants Bank in Nigeria . He was responsible for and in-charge of the foreign money market of the UBA. A mentee of Tony Elumelu who trusted him with that position- facts. He then proceeded to FCMB as an executive of the bank. In public service, Sanwo-olu was the commissioner for budget and economic planning ( prepared the budget of a big state like Lagos- mediocres cannot handle that). He was the brain behind economic policies in Lagos before 2007. He thereafter became the commissioner responsible for training, establishment and pensions. His job description here was to oversee the training of Lagos civil servants under specialized portfolios and also regulate payment of pensions to retired Lagos State workers. Ask me about a State in Nigeria that retired workers are not suffering and I'll show you Lagos. Under Ambode, Sanwo-olu headed the Lagos State Development and Property Corporation (LSDPC). Put differently, the existence of well planned estates in Lagos State since 2015-2019 passed through his office. While he was handling that office, he also became the Pioneer Board Chairman of Lagos Security Trust Fund. Sanwo-olu gave direct security report to the governor about security infrastructure and financing- that's his experience in security. I wrap with saying that Sanwo-olu is also a graduate of the London Business school. This is not even detailed. Now, list GRV's experience 😂. This is the kind of threads that should have made frontpage before elections. A lot of voters don't know mediocre candidates |
Troll. |
An Uninspiring CV. A career politician. No sterling records in the private or public sector. Kano, you made a very poor choice. |
The pastors that came out to support Obi are not attacked for being Partisan. Apostle Suleiman, Paul Enenche, 100s of notable catholic priests in the East, Pentecostal churches across Nigeria are not called political. Paul Enenche that campaigned for Labour Party in the Presidential Elections campaigned against the Reverend Father in his State, Benue. He is not Partisan but Adeboye who didn't support a candidate is partisan. |
Pierocash:Buying and selling is not rocket science. |
limeta:They are Lebanese-Nigerians who want the continuity of the government that gave them hope. |
beerfraud:The only reason they want Sanwo-olu out is because he's perceived as someone who is loyal to Tinubu - finished. Nothing else. How will people who want development handover the New York/ California of Nigeria to someone who hasn't been tested before? How? Tell me How? GRV has achieved nothing spectacular in his life. He's a career politician who's been vying for positions under the PDP. When he lost to Jandor during the Primaries, he switched to Labour party and dislodged the legitimate winner of the legitimate primaries which was already concluded. GRV isn't even fluent in English Language. He's straight-out mediocre. |
Wiseandtrue:Sanwo olu was not in the toddler stage. Do you think Lebanese millionaires and people with billion dollars investment in Lagos want to gamble with an inexperienced mummy's boy? For the first time foreigners were campaigning for a governor. Let's get started. Previous governors of Abia State were worse than mediocres. They all came from PDP and the LP candidate was the best of the evils. Lagosians can't replace a functional governor with an inexperienced toddler just because Igbo people hate Tinubu and think that Sanwo-olu is his slave. Tell me a Southern Governor that delivered physical infrastructures than Sanwo-olu, Wike or Dave Umahi. |
I support prostitution! Women have right to do whatever with their bodies! |
Congratulations to Peter Mbah. Enugu State chose the best! |
She looks like Jezebel. Too much painting and facial decoration for a woman who has attained menopause 😂 |

TonyElumelu:Lol. Your IQ is low. Tony Elumetroll. |
Asgard13:Atiku must file petition. He must file petition and be disgraced. |
Wiseandtrue:When Tinubu's economic hardship starts I'll be paying 10k to knack you 😂 |
TonyElumelu:Low budget Tony Elumelu struggling for front page. |
Wiseandtrue:So wasn't he the one? Sore loser 😂 You'll weep for 4 years. |
Una don come with new format 😂 I'm waiting to see how the scam attempt turns out. |
ogwumgbe:Go arrest am now? Obidîots 😂 |
Phatkings:Currently enjoying the sky view in one of the most expensive areas of one of the most urban States in Nigeria. |
NothingDoMe:He will be your president. Guess what, he'll throw away the keys of the dungeon where Nnamdi Kanu, your saviour, survives on watery beans and drinks the semen he produces from masturbation as yoghurt 😂 |
Advancedpenis:The good news is that Pandora Obidîot will never be Nigerian President in his miserable mediocre life. |
Even as an ardent supporter of the APC, I must unequivocally state that the Protest the opposition, led by Buhari, organised against Goodluck Jonathan in 2012 to prevent him from removing fuel subsidy was a poorly reasoned action. If Goodluck Jonathan had removed subsidy then, it would have been easier for us today. I hope Dangote's refinery starts production soon. It's easier to criticize a government than to govern. |
TermuxDarkWeb:He's mediocre with the treble voice of a rabbit injected with estrogen. |
