This is a good gesture, but ensure you are thoroughly led your spirit and guts. Na so Nairalande wey I don do PayPal business with on two occasions carry asthmatic lamba come last week Thursday.

Baba went as far as sending pics of drugs and a voicenote where he was wheezing for breathe. As person wey him nephew dey suffer from Asthma na, the Baba totally appealed to my sense of pity, na so I transfer a total of 24,320 to am with a gentleman understanding that when he sells his PayPal funds, he will refund me immediately.

It's been nearly a week now and Baba just dey give me different different stories since. I don give am till Friday to refund my money after which I will inform honourable Nairalanders so that nobody falls for his gimmick again.

The guy has totally scarred my intentions to help people now. Unless it comes as a deep-gutted feeling, shishi I no dey help anybody from this Nairaland again
Don’t let anyone or anything stop you from giving help to those who truly deserve it.

I seldom run into folks who are only loyal to their need of me.

Here’s what I do now:

Instead of giving them handout, I give them a hand. Instead of handing them free money, I connect them up with opportunities to earn money through work.

We all go through rough patches in life and I believe it makes no sense spoonfeeding grownups.

These machines were bought brand new and not used for a month. Plans changed, hence the sale.
This does not justify the hefty price tag.

Will you be transferring extended warranty to the new buyer?
I’m sure the warranty is not transferable because it’s a second hand 110V appliance being used in a country where there’s 220V electricity.

N1.3m for a 110V used Tokunbo washing machine is too pricey if you ask me.

It shouldn’t be on a clearance thread.

BREAKING NEWS: GET ANY MONEY YOU TRANSFER BACK. NO HIDING PLACE FOR FRAUD IN NIGERIA ANYMORE.

In case you mistakenly transferred Money to the wrong account and the account refused to refund your money, the owner blocked you,
or you are duped through your bank account and then later realize that you have been scammed.
Or is it a mistake on your part? And the receiving bank is not cooperating...

FOR HOW TO RETRIEVE YOUR MONEY AFTER YOUR WRONG TRANSFER -
Please read this carefully and share.

Many people don't always know what to do, so today am sharing with you things you'll do when you realize the person you paid for a service or goods is avoiding you:

1. Write out the Full name and account number of the page or person.

2. Go to the last notification your bank sent you after you made the payment (via mobile app or text) and copy out the "TRANSACTION ID NUMBER".

3. Go to any branch of the scam artist's bank (the bank you transferred to), and ask to see the CUSTOMER SERVICE in charge of FRAUD.

While you are there, send an email to SCAMMER'S BANK or the bank you wrongly paid to and copy CBN FRAUD DESK (anticorruptionunit@cbn.gov.ng) and also cpd@cbn.gov.ng
& contactcbn@cbn.gov.ng, this will ginger the bank to take it up fast.

What should you expect from this? The culprit/suspect's account will be PLACED ON HOLD. His BVN will be blocked permanently. No account will ever be opened nor will he be able to transact banking business in that name until he clears himself with the bank.

Meaning he/she cannot transfer or withdraw until they visits the bank, and when they do, the bank will contact the police, and the suspect when proven guilty will sign a waiver allowing the bank to refund your money.

Endeavor to Share with Friends and Family because you never can tell who it might help.
Copied.
Thanks for sharing!

Beware of this guy
This is very unnecessary. Why make a fuss out of nothing?

If he sold one last week, does that mean he can’t have another one to sell?

For your info, I bought HP 440 10th Gen from him late last year and I’m also in talks with him on getting another good laptop for one of my boys.

His stuffs are clean and very solid. He comes highly recommended. 💯

He and princemila are fast becoming my go-to guys for great laptops. I’ve never had any regrets with them.

You are actually dumb, the more you up that gutter you call a mouth, the more you reek of stupidity,

So the government should channel their limited funds into redesigning the city plan to please some bunch of idiots who have decided to build houses on drainage/water way.

Stupidity needs to deleted from the dictionary and replaced with your name and picture.
What do you think is stalling 4th mainland bridge project?

It is the realignment!

Realignment is necessary when you’re turning an unplanned city to a planned city.

But then what do you know?

Why was Lagos-Calabar railway not done? Realignment is happening in some areas where development has happened.

You’re confidently celebrating mediocrity and cluelessness. Well that’s why you’re you!

Demolishing structures is not the only way to build storm water drainages.

We are no longer in the stoneage.

Here’s another dumb decision to take over buildings without toilets. The world has moved away from Kurt traditional toilets to central sewage systems.

Hmmm people are going to lose hundreds of millions o ...are they alternative like underground channeling... problem is most of those areas are water logged initially, so sand filling is normal, it becomes difficult to know what is government approved land ... especially when it seems everyone has the same documentation... the Lagos State government should also make effort to digitalize the process, so people can search online in their portal instead of meeting individuals that would sell them gbamjo ...
Before Lagos state would demolish structures, they should first demolish their archaic systems that are not working.

Go to office of the State Surveyor General, they’re still sorting their files manually.

They’ll give you tracking numbers that you can’t track from the comfort of your house without meeting or interfacing government officials.

The last time I went to track a file, I was told that the fire incident that happened in the OSSG office affected them hence the reason they’re sorting millions of records manually.

I ask if they haven’t digitize their records in 2023 and if they don’t know what they call backup in this age and time.

Attached below is how it’s done in a sane society. They make land information easily accessible to their citizens to prevent people from building on committed lands.

But here, govt deliberately keep the records away from the people. Instead of fighting tooth and nail to fix those systems that are not working, they’re celebrating their mediocrity on the social media.
It’s even more worrisome that the educated and those who have lived in sane societies find it so comfortable to cuddle up this mediocrity than to question it.

Lagos the biggest economy in Africa still sorting their land records manually in 2023 - SHAME!

Is this how difficult it is to obtain land information ion developed societies?

The energy they exert on social media to throw tantrums like overgrown babies should be spent in their offices building systems to prevent this issues from reoccurring.

But then, you can’t give what you don’t have!

Mediocres and opportunists in power

I think we’re getting there gradually. I was with the Lagos State Commissioner for Physical Planning last week and he let us into the driving force behind some of his bold moves.

His focus is to further revolutionise the sector while repositioning Lagos as a model to remodel.
I’d be meeting him again this week. He’s such a wonderful person to engage.

I have practical experience in this area. The keys are substandard, China-made keys.
They sell for between N7,000 and N13,000, depending on which shop you are buying it.

Fairly ok engine with keys are not that type you are seeing on the door and they start from N20k upward. Which Nigerian carpenter would want to use a 20k door engine on a door that less than 50k will finish it?

Just be gentle with the key. Oil the key hole at intervals because they are made of rusty bad steel materials. They are only quoted in shiny paints outside.
You’re very correct!

There are levels to these things.

Paying properly identified and required government fees is the right thing to do.

I'm only asking the genuineness of the request because I've never had to pay this.

In my opinion it should be part of my building approval when they get around to approving it.
The bolded should be the standard.

It should be one-off payment for Planning Permits which covers (drainage, fence, building etc) but then the people in our ministries are very funny people.

Not Omo Onile but someone portraying himself as government official.

I thought that would be part of the final building approval.

Anyways I’m ready to call their bluff.

Thanks.
There’s fence permit in Oyo state.

State land = N1,000 x Plot area / MF

Freehold = N3,000 x Plot area / MF

I cannot remember their multiplying factor (MF). It was 540m2 in 2022

===========

What necessitated this is that some people just want to fence their land without building any structure on it. Such people have to apply for a permit like those applying for a building permit (actual construction).

It’s the right thing to do.
