I've been getting this notification following recent OTA upgrades on my Beta ROM. I also feel that I'm experiencing battery drain now. See attached. I didn't use the phone much as usual so it seems impressive today.

You already charged it so nothing much can be inferred from the graph .

Turn off the phone. Wait a minute, plug the charger, wait till it's 100%, then unplug the charger and turn on. The battery graph should be vertical now. Then you can monitor the battery again.


But if your phone is already 100%, you can try it at the next charge cycle

Guys, sorry this is a non-xiaomi topic, but I'm at my wit's end. I can't play my DVDs on Windows 10. I have searched online and downloaded all the suggested 3rd party media players, VLC, GOM, Win Media etc. Still no dice. It doesn't recognize the DVD just keeps making this I-wont-play-it sound. But it readily recognizes and plays audio CDs. Any suggestions pls?

No. They are not trying to detect your phone. It's the phone's default settings for activating the sim for use with mi account.

Na you go use your hand track your phone once the sim is activated and the find device feature was active when the phone was taken.

As in to update their servers that the sim is now active after being offline for long? Is that what you mean?

I just saw this notification after typing my last. The Mi 4 I last used the 9mobile sim with, was stolen earlier this year. Is this Xiaomi's attempt at detecting the list phone? Doesn't make sense either since it's the phone that should be directed not the line, abi?

Good morning guys. I wonder if anyone can throw light on this. I inserted my rarely used 9mobile sim in my 3sPrime and received a notification from 9mobile that my last SMS was N45 (attached). I did not send any such SMS so I called help line for clarification and they said SMS was to the UK and that it must be a virus blah, blah. But the explanation made no sense because my other Airtel & MTN lines I use regularly with the phone don't do so. I've checked my Messaging settings and there's no enabled auto-send or whatever. I'm just wondering if this is a 9mobile scam to raise money for the ailing company. Anybody experienced same?

Also, do you know any complaint channels to NCC?

Well, for me, the ads inspire me since they put a feasible price to items I desire to purchase thereby giving me definite, achievable targets. I'm speaking for myself.
As for their contribution/assists on non-business related issues, I do recall that at various times they have weighed in on technical issues. Just my own take..

Or @honsule, advertisers can be allocated a quota of ads (weekly or monthly) that they should not exceed or face sanction.
Just offering suggestion since it seems to be a burning issue. Personally, I have no problem with the ads, I find them useful and inspiring.

Cool... What's their build quality like say in comparison to Xiaomi? I'm leery about trying their MTK models (though at the same time, I tell myself that for them to have been thriving well in the MTK-loving China market, they may have worked out some system of use that makes the SoC work). Still it's their 625SD I'm looking at or, worst case their P25 or X series chipsets.
Are you using any Meizu now or their flashed ROM?

I don't need to read it up because I know miui is a customized os developed by xiaomi for all their devices while stock is a product of google made and developed by google,so why are you using a customized os instead of stock when you have the full potential to wipe miui and install stock android

Well I guess it all boils down to the good ol' 'different strokes for different folks'. I had gone through various iterations of the stock Android until I stumbled into MIUI three years ago.
It was that "where have you been all my life?' kind of love-at-first-sight. It met all my known needs and yet more needs I did not know about.
But enough of my trumpet, I prefer MIUI to stock Android is what I'm basically saying. You must certainly have your reasons for preferring stock Android.
My next project is to get a Meizu and check out the hoopla about Flyme OS.
