GrandMufti: I'm referring to phone Data and not mifi, ie subscribing to a mobile data plan on a sim inserted in your phone.
Just as to refresh the Lte bands:
MTN 4G LTE Band: supports band 7 (2600MHz) & 20 (800MHz)
Glo 4G LTE Band: supports band 28 (700MHz)
Etisalat 4G LTE Band: supports band 3 (1800MHz)
NTel 4G LTE Band: supports band 3 (1800MHz) and 8 (900MHz)
Spectranet 4G LTE supports band: 40(2300MHZ)
Swift 4G LTE supports band: 40(2300MHZ)
Smile 4G LTE supports band: 20(800MHZ).
If you have a mifi that connects to any of these, then u can even buy a sagem phone and 'blowse' Ok, I get you. Airtel is my main "blowsing" sim. Their 10gb/@2,500 suits me just fine for the 6months it's supposed to last |

GrandMufti:
There is note 4x rom now. No need for seller to flash anything. But just to confuse you more, you might update your note 4x and end up seeing not 4 afterwards. It's the same chipset and rom, it does not in anyway affect performance.
There was no official rom at the initial stage, hence sellers had to unlock the phone and flash note 4 rom. They were actually doing us a big favor.
If you want to use band 20 for ntel or smile then go for note 4 snapdragon, otherwise, go for note 4x.
And I'm yet to see any official link xiaomi stated the sensor it will use for note 4x/4
About accredited xiaomi stores, yes you can get them, but it's a 'walk-in' store where you just go and pick your phone. Someone bought mi 6 here from xiaomi's official outlet in china I use Airtel as my main go-to for internet and I'm in Lagos. I have Airtel and Swift mifis that I load only when I want to do heavy downloads on my PC. So far I've had no connectivity issues with the mifis on all my Xiaomis. Should I expect any issues with my expected 4x in terms of the connectivity? I've never had to bother about bands etc Oh yes, I also use 9mobile too, sometimes, all phone data too |

GrandMufti: I hope you know that as of today, after flashing note 4x rom, sometimes note 4 still appears? This is getting annoyingly confusing. I have now found myself suddenly in the market for what would be fifth Xiaomi and I want the Note 4x(still gathering the coins, sha) but all this drama about ROM tire me. I ask, is it not possible to buy the Note 4x direct from an accredited Xiaomi store, (not reseller that will buy China ROM and flash note 4 ROM before selling). Does xiaomi not have straight out of the box, virgin, Note 4x phone with dedicated Note 4x global ROM that will clearly show "Redmi Note 4x" in the "About Phone" screen? É no dey? The China ROM clearly shows you Note 4x, is there no official global ROM Note 4x? This issue had been so overflogged but needs to be thrashed out once and for all. I may have missed the answer in earlier threads, forgive my ignorance, make una epp me (us) wey still dey Jones.... GrandMufti been epp me advise my Xperian friend wey buy Note 4....but me want 4x. I no get problem with reseller flashing Note 4 global ROM for my 4x, na the same thing, but just for clarification, I jus want know, Redmi note 4x global ROM wey go show complete ID for phone no dey? Una do well o |

For those of you who keep spelling Mr CBN moniker wrongly; Please note its NOOBODY and not NOBODY
The guy with NOBODY moniker is a scammer though his moniker has been disabled but he reactivates it once in awhile when he's ready to scam. He has more than 10 different monikers on the forum. Be watchful
***Lil story*** I think about 2months ago (can't really recall the exact day though) NOOBODY was mistaken for NOBODY in the E-Currency section on this platform, omo see bashing them begin call the guy scammer upandan. Lol In that case, I think for house integrity sake we should vote for noobody to change name to "newbody" or another name close to the old one or to his choosing. As he's one of our transaction men here he's part of our front desk for newbies to the thread and we can't afford to have the kind of drama that protein0 had very recently. It's bad press for us especially with guests. |

GrandMufti: Seyema actually bought the note 4 because of band 20 what note 4x doesn't support. Abi I no get him gist well?
My thinking is that he probably made the error after flashing the rom and used a wrong casing. I could be wrong though, but it's best he chats with the seller to be sure of the correct device.
Even you seyema, you still never test the smile network properly. http://en.miui.com/download-321.html

GrandMufti: Go to Settings--> Notifications & Status Bar--> App Notifications-->Click on Google App-->Turn Off the Show notifications. Or instead of turning off the entire notification, just turn off 'app icon badge' GM... You are deadly... Thanks, I've gotten rid of them. That's why I'm totally down with the MIUI skin. It offers all the answers for tinkering with the device and getting to the root of issues. Dunno what will make me leave Xiaomi.. |

GrandMufti: They use the same chipset and rom, so no noticeable difference in battery life. They both use Samsung and Sony sensors for their camera, so no one can be so sure of camera until you unbox it.
The note 4 has 2 additional LTE bands, (specifically band 20)
I suggest he goes for note 4. Cool, thanks. I will pass that on. |

GrandMufti: Yes. Question: An Xperian I've been trying to bring over to Xiaomi asked a bit of a technical question I need help with. He's now considering the RN 4 or 4x but the 4/64g SD version. Apparently he's been checking posts and videos online and is now conflicted. Says he's seeing that camera seems the only difference but wants to be well guided on any other techical differences since apparently his primary need is performance and optimum battery life. What do you suggest? |
