Few days after Big Brother Naija housemate, Nina addressed the break rumour which she is at the center of with her love interest Miracle, the couple have been spotted having fun at the beach.

Recall that few weeks after the show, reports emerged that Miracle dumped Nina after emerging winner of the just concluded reality show.  Nina, in her reaction, took to her Instagram page, denying a split with Miracle, stressing that nothing has changed in her relationship with the BBN winner.

She had explained that Miracle is a private person and does not like a third party in his personal life, the reason he has not spoken about their relationship.

Maupe Ogun-Yusuf, a co-host of Channels Television's Sunrise Daily who was summoned by the court handling Olisa Metuh’s trial, has confessed that she “thought it was all a joke” when she learned she had to appear before the court.


Ogun-Yusuf and the General Manager of Channels Television, Steve Judo, were told to appear in court over prejudicial statements allegedly made by a lawyer in the defence team of Olisah Metuh on Channels TV. They were expected to give reasons why an order should not be made against them.

In line with the directive of the court, Ogun-Yusuf and Judo were in court today. After her hearing, the presenter went on Twitter to share her experience in court.

“So I understand that on the 22nd of May this year, the GM @channelstv was summoned alongside myself to show cause why an order should not be made against us for allegedly lending our platform to prejudicial comments made on an ongoing matter btw the FG and Olisa Metuh,” she tweeted.

“I must confess that I thought it was all a joke AS I WASNT EVEN ON @sunrisedailynow ON THE 22nd of May this year. I was out of office attending another function and my alibis are plenty...I could only wonder how my name jumped into the matter.

President Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government has handed over to the Edo State Government, the completed Northern Esan Water Project, in Ugboha, Esan South East Local government area of the state.

The project estimated to have cost N3.85 billion, can generate two million gallons or nine million liters of water per day.

Minister of Water Resources, Engr. Suleiman Adamu, who led a Federal Government delegation, which included Minister for Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, to the state, said the delegation was in the state to hand over completed projects to the Edo State government.

Engr. Suleiman said he participated in the conception of the project in 1997, when he worked as a consultant to the Petroleum Trust Fund (PTF), which was then led by current President, Muhammadu Buhari. He noted that lack of fund stalled the project, until it was revived by the present administration.

“We have finished our intervention programme and we are here today to hand over the project to the Edo State Government led by Governor Godwin Obaseki”.

He expressed satisfaction and confidence in the quality of job done and hoped that the agencies in charge of the scheme would do a good job to ensure its sustainability.

Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki expressed gratitude to the President Buhari-led administration for the uncommon gesture to the people of the state and Esan land, in particular.

He explained that access to potable water was a major challenge in Esan land and thanked the President for coming to the aid of the people, promising that his administration will do all it can to ensure the project benefits the people.

“I want to assure you that as a progressive government, we align with the water policies of the Federal Government. We have been following your policy guideline to strengthen water reforms in Edo State,” the governor said.

Obaseki disclosed that a bill to set up small town and rural water projects in the state has been passed by the Edo State House of Assembly (EDHA), noting that the state government has trained communities to set up their own water associations.

He added that his administration is restructuring its urban water board. “I want to assure you that this scheme will be sustained. This is part of our plan to ensure water in all parts of Esan land.”

The governor said his administration is working with the Niger Delta support programme, supported by the European Union (EU) to provide water, adding “We have paid 700 million naira as our counterpart fund and the EU is providing about two to three billion. We expect that all these investments will provide water in Esan land and other parts of the state.”

The electricity service provider in Nigeria over the last 40 years has become a source of pain, anger and frustration for Nigerians. The company continually fails to deliver electricity, does not bill accurately for the most part and insists on getting paid.

While there are a few alternative power solutions out there, few can be relied upon at the expense of what used to ECN, NEPA, PHCN and now several “EDCs”.

However, some of the new Electricity Distribution Companies are trying to improve on customer service even if supply of electricity is still epileptic.

Ikeja Electricity Distribution Company also Known as Ikeja Electric now sends its customers notification of their debt and its plan to disconnect them soon. While this might not seem like good news to many people, it does give you the chance to pay your bills before any embarrassing disconnection occurs. Also, you get notified of payment when you pay your bills with a balance of any amount still owed given.

This will also help to curb fraud where some officials of the company or even sometimes the people sent to pay on a customer’s behalf pocket the money and claim to have paid thereby causing argument on whether or not a bill has been settled.

This is the example of the message IKEDC customers now get to avoid disconnection:

Dear Customer,
Our record shows that as at today, you have outstanding bills yet to be paid. We advise that you please settle all outstanding debts to avoid service disruption. Please disregard if payments have been made.

Thank you for allowing us serve you.



Upon payment being made by the customer, you receive a message like this:

Dear (account number) Your payment of ₦ danger danger for your IE bill was successful. Your outstanding balance is ₦ danger danger Pls pay to avoid service disruption. For enquires call 017000250

Of course, there may be some other notifications depending on whether you use a prepaid meter or have a credit balance with the company.

We applaud the willingness to communicate more effectively with customers but would also love to have steady electricity supply or what do you say?

According to information gotten from a witness, the white man has been harassing black south-Africans for a long time until he heckled two Nigerian Igbo men who wasted no time in dealing with him.

GNI finally dumps PDP


The Ogun State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in 2015, Prince Gboyega Isiaka, has resigned his membership of the party.


Isiaka, who said the decision was not an easy one for him, noted that the crisis rocking the party in the state had proved intractable ahead of another general elections.


A copy of his resignation, letter dated May 24, was addressed to the leadership of both PDP factions in the state.


The Ogun PDP had been factionalised between loyalists of Senator Buruji Kashamu representing Ogun East Senatorial District and a House of Representatives member, Oladipupo Adebutu, from Remo Federal Constituency.


Isiaka, who had contested the governorship on two previous occasions, said he was leaving the PDP to continue his partisan political career "by charting a new course."


He lamented that genuine steps taken by few patriots within the opposition party to close up the fault lines and return it to glory days have been to no avail.


The letter partly read, "I am using this medium to convey the decision to resign my membership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), effective from today 24th May, 2018.


"This has not been an easy one for me as I recall with nostalgia, the opportunities and privileges which the membership of this party conferred on my political career; the peak of which was the kind consideration given me to be the flag bearer of the PDP in the last gubernatorial election in Ogun State.


"You will recall that the PDP, especially in our state, has been through a rough patch in the last couple of years, and after two successive electoral losses, the search for lasting peace is still elusive. Despite the genuine steps taken by few patriots within the party to close up the fault lines and return the party to glory days, all have been to no avail.


"With another election on the horizon and the perennial challenges of the party festering and proving to be intractable, I am left with no other choice but to continue my partisan political career by charting a new course where my philosophies and beliefs are aligned with good democratic ethos for the ultimate aim of promoting a better society."


When contacted yesterday on Isiaka's next political move, one of his media aides, Wale Junaid, said his principal is committed to contesting and winning the 2019 governorship in the state.


Junaid stated that the issue of whether the two-time gubernatorial candidate would join another political party or not would be addressed at the appropriate time.


He restated Isiaka's commitment to running a welfarist and people-centred administration when he emerges as governor next year.

Today makes it 1 week and 1 day that @606autos was arrested by the men of the Economic and financial crimes commission (EFCC) at Awolowo road ikoyi and proper investigations have been carried out but still nothing found on him but he is still remanded in EFCC custody for reasons best known to them.
I have seen people campaign for others but nobody is campaigning for the freedom of 606 and I ask myself why? Is it because he's not an artiste but just an ordinary business man and also the reputable #PLUGOFNIGHTLIFE and #ENGINEROOMOFAUTOS

The Nigeria Police Force has announced that all successful candidates in the last Physical/Credentials screening stage will sit for Computer Based Test (CBT) to be conducted by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) on Friday, 25th May, 2018.

Force spokesman, Jimoh Moshood, in a statement on Thursday, said the exercise will hold across the country.

He said candidates have been notified through text messages.

“However, those who did not receive the message can check for their exam centres through the under-listed websites.

“The candidates’ exam centres are also displayed at every State Command Headquarters in the Thirty Six (36) States of the Federation and the FCT.
