I just got a request for my medicals....I almost fainted when i got the email and was shaking as I was logging into my account.

But I did an upfront medicals sha and i uploaded the proof of medicals to my app. I guess I will just contact the hospital to send my result.

I am soooo happy, considering the fact that I applied with my daughter... I Can't stop thanking God.

Sorry about the delay. At least the reason for your refused was not much, So I think tackling that part, and re-applying ASAP would fix that loophole. Did you by any chance list the documents you packed in this thread?

how on earth were you people able to compress your documents to 4mb. my proof of financials alone get like 80 different pages. all from sponsor and i have like 23mb. oh boy.... i have tried compressing but no luck to 4mb. i wanna scan some again and reduce their DPI to the lowest

My friend, Don't join the complex applicant oo**in Ugochux and hayqinsbFX*8 voice. You better follow BRT to paper route and stop trying to compress your documents to the extent that the VO will need binocular microscope to view em!

Quick question folks:

There is an instruction in the letter that was sent to me that: your passport must be valid for the duration of your expected stay in Canada. Please note we cannot issue a visa beyond the expiry date of the passport.


Please can I renew my passport now before handing-it to them because my passport expires in February 2016 and I am going for a 4 year program.

OK! some good news at last, after about 7 weeks of waiting, praying and hopping for the best, i have just received my medical request from CIC...i know i haven't been on the timeline but i have been observing stuffs from the background to help me reduce the tension, i always prayed to be the one to share some good news after seeing many refusals lately and God has answered my prayers. i applied on 11 April and did my Biometrics on 16 April....will update you guys about the docs i submitted in a couple of hours cos i'm going out now...and lastly thanks to everyone on this forum who has helped me when i posted my first question, and also those that have been helping others, and to the rest of the medical hopefuls, I WISH YOU GUYS THE VERY BEST...i must say the waiting is not easy, probably the hardest part of Canada visa application.

Just want to pen down some words to those out there who have been delayed due to one reason or the other.

1. Don't be so much in a hurry to re-apply
The reason is that it still takes some considerable time to get your files back and also to know the full reasons for denial.For those that call for their gcms files, its like 6 weeks or so. If not for anything, give the VOs the impression that you took your time to sort out what went wrong.

2. Give yourself time to heal..Yea I know how it can feel. Believe me, it feels like uv just lost a job or denied promotion. It could even set some peeps into depression. So when you hurriedly refire, sometimes ur emotions are at work and could tamper with ur sense of judgement or decision making process.

3. Take your time to effect the change you desire gradually. It can take some few months to build an account to over a million naira,work some more for some cash for those on the financial reasons. This will present ur case firmly when you do re-apply.

4. Lastly, your destiny is not tied to any country..Brace up, accept your position and move on..You can still make it wherever you are.

When you get there, tell them the size 35*45mm or so (not quite sure) on a white background, and bargain a good price... When is time for snapping, tell them is for visa application... That way, you'll be safer.

Mentioning via application from the onset only leads to incurring charges at the end of the day.

It doesn't change the quality either

The landlord wants you to pay two months rent before you move in.
One for the first month and the other for the last month.
This means if you move to the house in August, one part is for the August rent so he still owes you one month rent, however, this other one month is going to be used when you are about moving out of the house. So say you want to move out by January ending, you have to tell the landlord by December ending that you will be moving out by Jan ending therefore you won't pay rent for January but just have him activate your last month rent..

This shouldn't be a big deal; I think they just want to be aware of any changes made for easy identification. I changed from Centennial college to Brock university in May 2014 and my current Study permit has Centennial on it, whenever I have to present my study permit they keep asking why I changed school. So if the policy was in place before I changed school, I won't have to be explaining myself every time. If you want to change school, inform the school first so that they could at least direct you on what to do because a school like Brock don't interfere with CIC related matters but they would direct you. All the best.
