Now GEJ wants to increase it to fill the PDP treasury to rig 2015 like 2011 Im happy most people are seeing it now though |

omo alaro: While i disagree with the messenger of this message, i agree with the message. However i put the blame on Obasanjo who foisted Yaradua and GEJ on Nigerians and GEJ later endorsed by 22million Nigerians. If OBJ's company was to employ a managing director and a deputy managing director, i doubt if OBJ would overlook medicals and IQ test to employ the duo of Yarádua and GEJ. He deliberately foisted them on us so that we would look back in time and regret not giving him a third term of office. This is the reason why today GEJ is making OBJ's tenure looking so good. Yaradua is 100 times better than GEJ although he was to sick to be president really. He reduced fuel remember whereas GEJ has doubled it |

lmao GEJ has poked a sleeping beast, The protest should go further 50% reduction in salary for those in govt as well as 65 N fuel or less. Show us you are serious GEJ |

CALABAR – A liter of fuel now sells for N250 in some parts of Cross River State just as some motorists including bus/taxi drivers have packed their vehicles as a result of scarcity of fuel and high prize in some stations that have the product.

thekrafter: We're getting closer together. But you seem to believe every Nigerian deserves a fuel subsidy. I do not. The buses are a way of subsidizing the most needy. We need more efforts like this. For health, education, etc. Targeted alleviation. Not fuel subsidy that even bank managers benefit from. So we get the buses only when we protest abi? |

musKeeto: 1. Ngozi Otondo Imela says the reports of her threat to resign are untrue, According to her twitter account. 2. Debate for what? That's like using the toilet after washing your hands. 3. GEJ/Reno Omokri/Beaf don forget their facebook account password. No post there even as curses don dey reach 10000 milestone. 4. Nigerians all have a dream of a big Nigeria. Just that too many of them want to see it (Nobody wan die). 5. After 2 days of protests, GEJ for don chop 6 million naira worth of food for presidential villa. May CANCER of the tongue and heart catch PATIENCE, for every periwinkle wey dey her soup. 6. GOD BLESS ALL NIGERIANS, THE ONES WEY DEY FEAR, THE ONES WEY DEY FOLLOW PROTEST, AND THE FOOLISH SOUTHERNERS WHO HAVE MADE UP THEIR MIND TO REMAIN SLAVES TO PDP'S GANGSTERISM AND HOODS.
Don't blame PH et al when they don't join the protests. PDP hand for those areas strong. Police go kill you talk say na militant. |

@elrufai Budget 2012: N11.25bn for international travel, N1bn for food, N535 m for "welfare package" in VP & GEJ's homes. Subsidy pay for these? No!

Politics › Re: The Economist On Naija Fuel Subsidies by Nadanbata: 6:02pm On Jan 04, 2012 |
People need to stop saying do this do that build that build that. Why? BECAUSE YOU KNOW FULL WELL THAT IS NOT PRACTICAL. And will never happen under GEJ and PDP.
The government has no intention of doing so, it is corrupt and not transparent. Did you see 2012 Budget 1 billion Naira food GEJ. Does that tell you he is ready for action in Naija? Does that show a leader leading by example? Does that show that change is coming to Naija? Or is it just another year we will have had since democracy?
That is why nobody wants any subsidy removal becuase the funds will be chopped. Less for you more for them. Govt has not shown they are serious. That is why people don't want them managing any more money than they had to. Simple as that. |

Olodostein: You are right. We just have to keep following things. Have you gotten a copy of the "SURE" programme? Check out the outlined projects and see for yourself. I do not see any major project going to the East. They said that "three refineries" will be built; one in Kogi, Bayelsa and Lagos. Most major Hydro power projects will be in the North.
It is high time we start to pioneer developments in the East in our own way. Just like Rochas is doing. This is why I am advocating of thinking for ourselves because it seems everyone is beginning to answer their fathers name in terms of Development. My problem with it is this. Govenment is not leading by example they telling Nigerians to sacrfice but they are not sacrficing anything themselves. Not even a 10% pay cut. Thats why Nigerians dont trust them and know the money will more likely be chopped and costs have gone up a lot, Its not the issue of subsidy removal but No trust n the govt hence people want hands off the funds. |
