A Woman Identified As Theresa Awuhe, has been killed in Makurdi, Benue State.

It was gathered that Tessy was shot dead by unknown assailants on her way home from her shop on Saturday night, August 24, 2024.

According to one Tamen Tina, the incident happened around Villa Suite Street.

Meanwhile, friends and family members have taken to Facebook to mourn her.

“May your soul find peace! May your killers never know peace in this world. God will punish them for the sins of their fathers, and punish their generation," one Unande Adoo wrote.

"Ahhhh Ngohile If only they knew how kind you were. You showed me the rope in Jesus and told me to tough up as I was a cry cry baby, always crying, you showed me love, till your death you will always check on on us and encourage, you were will wiser than your years, you were Soo full of life. You were too kind. Diloga set 2010 mourns ,this one is painful. Rest on my class mate.”

A Student Of The Federal University Of Technology Minna, Niger State, Abdulafatai Abdulsalam, has passed away.

It was gathered that the 200-level student of the Department of Mathematics slumped and d!ed while jogging.

The Student Union Government, SUG, President-Elect, Divine Prince Daniel, confirmed the incident in a statement on Wednesday, August 21, 2024.

“It is so disheartening as my attention was drawn to the case of our dear brother ABDULFATAI ABDULSALAM, A 200L student of mathematics department who slumped earlier today when taking his regular jogging exercise,” he stated.

"I commiserate with the bereaved family, mathematics department, school of physical sciences and the students union on this sad occasion. I pray, May Almighty Alla'ah accept his returns as a pious servant and grant him Aljanat Firdous and grant the family and students populace the fortitude to bear this great loss. AMEN

"As the president elect, I promised to make students welfare a priority in my agenda just as it was enshrined in my manifesto "SURGE AGENDA “and enjoined us to be observant of our health and don't hesitate to reach to the school clinic for medication and proper care.”

You Will Not Die In Road Accident, SAY AMEN.

Barely 24 Hours after a truck rammed into a vehicle and a pedestrian in the Lafenwa area of Ogun State, two persons were killed when a truck crushed a tricycle in the Papalanto area of the state.

The Accident, according to the spokesman for the Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency, Babatunde Akinbiyi, occurred in the early hours of Friday.

Akinbiyi attributed the cause of the accident which involved an Iveco Truck with number plate KJA 166 XJ and a tricycle with number plate TRE 627 VP, to dangerous driving by the truck driver.

He added that four people including two males and two females were involved in the accident with the two females crushed to death.

Akinbiyi said, “According to an eyewitness account, the truck in an attempt to overtake the tricycle while both were in transit inbound Abeokuta, around Papalanto, dragged the tricycle along with it by the side in the process with the tricycle falling in its front before running over it, killing a grandmother and her granddaughter.

“The two victims were the only occupants in the tricycle on the spot. Regrettably, the truck driver escaped from the scene before being arrested.”

The TRACE spokesman added that the bodies of the deceased were handed over to their families while warning motorists against dangerous driving.

He added, “The injured tricycle driver has been rescued to an unknown hospital by a good samaritan. Moreover, the accident vehicles have been deposited at the Itori Divisional Police Command.

“While TRACE and the police commiserate with the families of the deceased, motorists are again charged to avoid dangerous and reckless driving given its attendant consequences.”
