Moneyfem: Beware! !! !!!
My GTB bank account had just been credited and debited with a bigger sum. They first credited with an amount and later debited with a bigger amount.
I got alert for only the credit and no alert for the debit. I deliberately opened their app to see their criminal perpetration. Everything happened overnight. All their customer care lines are down as at now. One must enter banking hall now.
GTB Systems are still compromised. Beware! What is the way forward now? |

Operatives Of The Ondo State Security Network Agency, otherwise known as Amotekun Corps, have arrested a 20-year-old boy for allegedly killing a 65-year-old woman in Owo, headquarters of the Owo Local Council Area of Ondo State.
The Suspect, Friday Akinmade, allegedly hit the deceased with a plank on her head after accusing her of stealing N3,000 from his room.
Parading the suspect along with other criminals at the headquarters of the corps in Akure, the state capital, the commander of the corps, Akogun Adetunji Adeleye, disclosed that another 21-year-old suspect was arrested for attempted murder.
“What the security situation has enumerated is telling us that, as a result of the harsh economic situation we have in the country, there are more cases of housebreaking.
“A 30-Year-Old Man who engaged in malicious damage, cultism, and attempted murder of law enforcement agents. We have a 42-year-old man who attacked Amotekun officers in a bid to cover his nefarious activity by the name of Gbenro.
“We equally have Samuel Peter, a 21-year-old man, who engaged in an attempted murder, and one Akimade Friday, who outrightly murdered and killed a 65-year-old woman. This is a 20-year-old boy.
“In the same way, we narrowed down on one Segun Owolabi, 20 years old, who engages in stealing motorcycles and robbing to dispossess rightful owners. We have a gang that specialises in burgling houses, especially when owners of such houses are not in their houses. We have Toba, Pelumi, Ogumade, and Oriade, whose age bracket ranges between 22 and 25. We equally have Shegwo Yusuf, who engages in malicious damage to household properties.” Source: https://dailypost.ng/2024/10/29/ondo-boy-20-kills-65-year-old-woman-over-n3000/

A Woman Identified As Mrs Rukayat Akinbode is appealing to the public for help in locating her 17-Year-Old Daughter, Hameedah, who is currently missing.
PUNCH Metro gathered that the teenager has been missing since she left her parents’ residence at Baale Bus Stop in the Bariga area of the state on October 20, 2024.
Although unconfirmed reports suggested that the missing girl might have left home for an Islamic programme, her distraught mother explained that Hameedah had told them she was going to visit a friend in Oshodi during an Islamic programme in the area.
Our correspondent learnt that concerns grew within the family when Hameedah failed to return home that same day.
“She’s my first child. She told us on Sunday morning that she was going to Oshodi to give something to a friend. She was at our mosque that morning before she left.
“When she arrived, she said she was heading to Oshodi and told her friends she’d be back shortly. I have no information about the person she said she was going to see.
“We reported the case at the Ifako Police Station and have also visited Area F and Zone 2 headquarters,” said the mother.
She urged anyone with information that could help locate her to contact the nearest police station.
When contacted on Sunday, Zone 2 command spokesperson Ayuba Ummah told our correspondent that she was unaware of the report but promised to look into it. “I’m not privy to the report, but I will find out,” Ummah simply stated on Sunday evening. Two armed robbers who had terrorised Atim Edem Rise and Efio Okoho neighborhoods of Calabar South LGA in Cross River State were violently killed yesterday by angry youths.
The names of the suspects were not immediately available at the time this report was filed.
Eyewitnesses confirmed that both resided in the same neighborhoods.
One eyewitness, Reuben Akabom, said that during the wee hours of Tuesday morning, a young man, not more than 35, was caught while burgling a home in the Efio Okoho neighborhood.
Luck ran out for him this time, as the terrorized residents, tired of his persistent robberies, were able to overpower him, according to residents.
“He was dragged to the Efio Okoho junction in front of a private hotel.
“The robber was mercilessly beaten, and they brought condemned tyres, where he was reportedly burnt.”
Our reporter arrived when his charred remains were being evacuated, probably for burial at an undisclosed location.
Another incident had occurred on Saturday on Atim Edem Rise Street, not far from Ibesikpo Road Calabar.
The other suspect was also alleged to be a known criminal who repeatedly robbed and intimidated residents, instilling fear in them.
A youth leader who gave his name as Inyang Ekpenyong explained that when the robber was caught and overpowered, they used the same machete he used in robbing to chop him.
Armed robbery is reported to have resurged in recent times in the Calabar South enclaves.
On Sunday, one Obong Ete, a landlord on Waddel Lane near Mbukpa Road who was known for constantly stealing from his tenants and neighbors, was caught and brought before his tenants, who were asked to take turns flogging him as many times as they desired.
Reacting, the PRO of the state police command, Irene Ugbo, cautioned against jungle justice, advising that all suspects should always be handed over to the police for proper interrogation and prosecution. A 34-Year-Old Man, Identified As Segun Adegbite, was found macheted to death at a construction site near WitchTech Factory on the Lagos/Ibadan Expressway.
The State Police Spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, confirmed this to DAILY POST on Tuesday.
Odutola stated that the incident was reported to the Sagamu division of the command by one Adedeji Adegbola.
According to her, Adegbola reported that the local security guard attached to the construction site, identified as Hassan, informed him at about 10:00 a.m. on Monday that a violent altercation was taking place between the deceased and some unidentified persons.
She said, “The incident was reported to the Sagamu Police Division by one Adedeji Adegbola of Lagos/Abeokuta Expressway, Iyana-Ipaja, Lagos, on Monday, October 28, 2024.
“Adegbola said the local security guard attached to the construction site, identified simply as Hassan, informed him at about 10:00 a.m. on the same day that a violent altercation was taking place between the deceased and some unidentified persons.”
Following this report, detectives quickly arrived at the location, where they found Segun’s body lying in a pool of blood, with multiple machete wounds on his body.
Odutola noted that a blood-stained machete was recovered at the scene, and the corpse was evacuated and deposited at Live-well Morgue for autopsy.

The Imo State Police Command has arrested a 17-Year-Old Lady addressed as Jesse Chidiebere, a student of Imo State University, IMSU, who faked her kidnapping and death.
A Press statement by the public relations officer of the command, ASP Henry Okoye, informed that her arrest was effected by the Orji Police Divisional Headquarters on October 26, 2024, at 10 pm after receiving a distress call from concerned citizens reporting her missing. The situation reportedly caused public unrest as her family and the university community were thrown into panic.
According to the statement, a message sent from her WhatsApp account claimed she had been abducted and killed, urging her family to go to the Orji Police Station for confirmation.
Okoye further stated that in responding to the distress call, police operatives launched a search and discovered the following morning, October 27, 2024, that Chidebere was alive and had fabricated the story as a prank on social media.
The Police Spokesperson further informed that an investigation is ongoing to ascertain her motives for such mischief, noting that she would certainly face prosecution.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, Imo State Command, CP Aboki Danjuma, in his reaction to the development, expressed concern over the act, describing it as irresponsible behaviour, which wasted valuable resources and caused public panic.
He urged parents to caution their children against engaging in dangerous pranks and spreading misinformation, maintaining that the command remains committed to combating misinformation and ensuring a safe environment for all and sundry in the state.
