I do not know if truly you have the $20,000 you claim you have for business investment. Instead of Fiji Island, I think you should consider a more bouyant economy in places such as Australia and or New Zealand.

I would like to know why most organization in Qatar now requires a transferrable sponsorship ( transfferable visa ) from applicant before giving them job.

They do not want to take the responsibility of sponsoring an applicant ( foreign worker ) from his or her country to work in Qatar. They prefer to look for residents with valid papers in Qatar to give their jobs to leaving out foreign based applicants.

The Qatar labour law requires that the applicant pay for the travelling cost of the worker from his or her country to Qatar and from Qatar at the end of the contract.

When President Jonathan publicly condemned Mr Patrick Sawyer for entering Nigeria with the Ebola virus some Nigerian on nairaland were saying that Jonathan should have selected his words in describing Mr Sawyer. There is suriname embassy in Brazil, but you have to arrange visa to get to Brazil first of all through the Brazilian embassy in Nigeria to enable you travel to Brazil to arrange for suriname visa at Suriname embassy in Brazil.

So it all involve a transit visa arrangement which you can not avoid completely.

alternatively you can travel to London ( UK ) and from there get to guyana or suriname or trinidad and tobago or barbados ( British airways ) and then work out your transit travel from there to reach suriname.

Nigeria has much better salaries than philippines at the high levels in the right sectors and lots of money to be made in Nigeria.. Philippines is overpopulated even when compared to Nigeria.. Manila will give you the impression of a bigger city than lagos and it does have a much higher population than lagos..

So you can see philippines is pressed. It is big business in the billions for philippine nationals to work overseas and send money back home or save money to return home and be rich at home. earning $400 a month is very possible in Arab countries and beyond, but not so easy in philippines even with a university degree... There are many agencies in philippines that service their people in acquiring jobs in middle east area and the workers eagerly take simple positions and still return home after 5 years or more with enough money to build a house and support family... Education is not free in Philippines and so poor people don't get to escape poverty easily because they need luck or money to get an education...
Many americans, Canadians, australians and europeans move to philippines as well.. They retire and take their pensions there to live.. A modest pension in Europe or america, becomes a rich mans life in philippines.. Owning a basic car is still the same price as world markets, but the houses and food and employing workers in their houses or starting a business is very cheap... People there often live on less than $100 a month.. And also the women there like to marry foreign retirees for the money advantage, you will see young 20 year old girl married to a retired man over 55 years of age or 65 and even a 30 year old married to a man over 75 years old...Yes they have babies with the men also.

Above all, the philippine workers have a worker reputation that is hard to surpass.. They are very used to very hard work for little payment in return.. So when they receive better in a better environment, they have motivation to be even more loyal at the hard worker standard... I did temporary work in USA on a mans farm when his trees reached ripened fruit.. Three months of harvest and this is in USA Hawaii where i am a citizen and resident.. The Farm owner is american ,a doctor and he preferred first to hire the philippine immigrant workers before americans because the americans were lazy and complain all day with little harvest accomplished while the philippine old woman harvested from before sunrise to sunset and had so much harvest she makes $100 in a day.. She would earn only that $100 in one month if she worked like that every day with only Sunday to rest in philippines farming sector...

I will also want to thank other contributors for their helpful points. It is now left to Nigerian and other African national to think twice if Qatar job market is worth considering. We seem to be tempted by the tall rising building in Qatar skyline thinking that we can get a dream of a life time there. But like 7up the difference is clear when we have to compete with philippinos, indian, Nepalese etc

I would like to know why phillippinos ( citizen of the phillippines ) are the preferred choice of employers of labours in Qatar? after this group comes the indian, nepalese, pakistani, bangledeshi, srilankan. African people comes last only when there is no other alternative to the earlier mentioned nationals.

Every advert you see in qatar it is always phillippinos on the list.

The only exception is the western expatriate who are mainly from France, united kingdom etc. who are well treated with high position jobs.

I have been told that Nigerians and some other african national such as Kenyan, Ghanaian, Ugandan are denied offer because they are not happy to accept peanut. they prefer the big paying jobs.

Is this the only reasons why employers of labour in Qatar carefully exclude Nigerians and other african and they target their jobs to mainly phillippinos?

Qatar Visa is based on the sponsorship system. A travel agency or agent in Nigeria or Qatar can sponsor your visa. 5 star hotel in Qatar can arrange your visa if you book a room in their hotel for some days although very expensive .Qatar embassies outside qatar do not handle visa processing as a matter of policy.

So look for a reliable travel agent to arrange visa for you. You can also enquire from Qatar airline if they can arrange your travelling papers ( visa ) to Qatar.
