Malaysian Airline Again! After the sad disapperance of a Malaysian Airline in March, 2014 in the high sea after it was allegedly programme to divert from its original course. |
The new administration after Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan should focus on job creation as it priority. They should encourage foreign investment in Warri. Anyway, the locals in Warri caused the industrial drifts of companies from Warri to Port Harcourst starting from the mid 1990s. Their youth were after compensation rather than developing their skills and talents. Now warri and its environ is no more economically as there are fewer companies that exist to absorb our young job seekers. |
Paypal for quite a decade stayed out of Nigeria on the ground that a sizeable number of Nigerian internet users mostly the socalled yahoo yahoo boys were using the sites to perpetuate a circles of scams against foreign based individual and business organization abroad.. As a result and as a form of penalty a lot of legitimate users from Nigeria,( Nigerians) were denied the opportunity of sending or receiving money electronically via their online network. Howevern lately News has been in the media that Nigeria is now allowed to use paypal. Has anyone tried their website lately? Please share your experience on how it is working for you. I particularly need details of how to open paypal accounts in Nigeria and also the funding procedures of my paypal account and how to withdraw money from my paypal account. |
This is a good write up but you fail to mention that most of these international dating websites do not accept membership from Nigeria IP. They see Nigeria as a country with high rate of scam. Because of this exclusion of Nigerian user one had to register using software that hide your true IP. |
Nigerians in the United states ( America ) how are you coping with the cold weather condition presently ravaging the country this season? The present weather condition is the coldest in America in the last 20 years. The temperature is at freezing level. |

A state of emergency could be imposed on River state by the federal government. Our political class have failed in the responsibility to discharge their duty to the nation. If only they could understand that they are there to serve the country and not to fill their pocket with public money. Furthermore, apart from stealing our money, our public officers in rivers state are destroying and bombing away our hardearned property instead of preserving this structures. |

Today marks the lifting of the last restrictions on the free movement of workers from Bulgaria and Romania. From today, Bulgarian and Romanian citizens are able to fully exercise their right to work in all EU countries without a work permit. In fact, Bulgarian and Romanian citizens have already been free to work without restrictions in 19 countries that were not applying transitional measures and have of course been enjoying the right to travel and reside in all Member States since Bulgaria and Romania joined the EU in 2007. As a result there are over 3 million people from Bulgaria and Romania already living in other Member States and it is unlikely that there will be any major increase following the ending of the final restrictions on Bulgarian and Romanian workers. The free movement of people has been one of the cornerstones of EU integration and of the EU’s Single Market. This right is one of the most cherished by Europeans, with over 14 million of them studying, working or retiring in another Member State. In fact, free movement is the right that people associate most closely with EU citizenship. The end of the restrictions for Bulgarian and Romanian workers comes at a time of high unemployment and tough budget adjustment in many European countries. In hard times, mobile EU citizens are all too often an easy target: they are sometimes depicted as taking jobs away from local people or, on the contrary, not working and abusing social benefits schemes. In fact, studies have consistently shown the benefits of free movement of workers for the economies of host countries. Mobile workers complement host country workers by helping to address skills gaps and labour shortages – in other words they tend not to take jobs away from host country workers. And because a greater proportion of mobile workers from other EU countries are of working age compared to host countries’ populations they are more likely to be employed and are generally net contributors to the welfare systems of their host countries. That said, the Commission does recognise that there can be local problems created by a large, sudden influx of people from other EU countries into a particular city or region. For example, they can put a strain on education, housing and social services. The solution is to address these specific problems – not to put up barriers against these workers. Member States can use the European Social Fund (worth over 10 billion euros every year) to help to deal with some of these local problems. From 1 January 2014, each Member State should spend at least 20% of ESF funds on promoting social inclusion and combating poverty. The EU has put rules in place to facilitate the free movement of workers, to ensure that they are protected from exploitation and that host countries are protected from potential abuse of their welfare systems. Later this Spring, these are due to be further reinforced by new rules due to be adopted on our initiative by the EU’s Council of Ministers and the European Parliament to require EU countries to both raise awareness about rights to free movement and to put in place redress mechanisms when workers suffer discrimination. It is essential that Member States enforce their national legislation, notably through their labour inspectors, to prevent discrimination against or exploitation of workers from other EU countries. For example, they must ensure that their minimum wage rules are applied and that workers from other EU countries are not employed in the black economy. The beginning of a New Year is a good time to look forward. I firmly believe that restricting the free movement of European workers is not the answer to high unemployment or a solution to the crisis. On the contrary, facilitating such free movement can play a role in tackling unemployment and helping to bridge the disparities between different EU countries. We estimate that there are currently some 2 million unfilled vacancies in the EU. This is why the Commission is improving the functioning of the EURES pan-European job search network and publishes the European Vacancy Monitor – so that everyone who wants to work in another EU country can be aware of job opportunities there. The European institutions and the Member States need to work together to pave the way for a job-rich recovery and create conditions for inclusive growth. |
I can sell all my properties in Nigeria to travel abroad if I have carried out short term and long term research of the country I am going to and the future looks bright. 2. I am highly skilled such as scientist, engineer, doctor, nurse, pilot, and my skill is highly in demand in that country. 3. I will also consider age factor, if I am younger, that is to mmy advantage and a plus. 4. I will only consider such steps for countries with better economies such as UK, USA, Canada, Germany, Norway, Netherland, China, Australia and New Zealand. |
A foreigner telling us we can be united..whereas some set of people are here busy cheering for disintegration
I want to take you up on this issue. There is nothing wrong in Nigeria breaking up. The Ukraine you are using as an example is also on the edge of disintegration as the pro eu supporter clash with the pro government supporter who are in favour of closer ties with russia. Nigerian unity is not people-agreed but a creation of british administrative fiat the nigerian were not consulted. |
With the 2014 Fifa world cup just within months away, I just want to know the document that is required in the course of applying for a visa at the Brazilian embassy in Lagos or Abuja to enable one travel to Brazil for the mundial. Does the Brazilian embassy have an official website for Nigeria? How do one secure the tickets for the various football tournment? Seasons greeting to you all! |
Did I hear Lady Florence Ita Giwa very well or just a joke she was reported to have said the FG should settle the people of Bakassi as part of the green tree agreement signed by the Nigerian governmentt, Cameroun, and the United Nation. My question to Lady Ita Giwa is that which community will allow a stranger in this 21st century to occupy their land and then accept them as indigene. I think the people of Bakassi should return to their ancestral home which is now under Cameroun control at the moment and then hold a referendum for self determination or independence and then break peacefully from Cameroun with the support of the United Nation. If they are independence from cameroun they can now choose to join Nigeria or remain an authonomous state with its own government. |
Obasanjo, former Nigerian President should take the blame for the painful reality that Bakassi people are faced with. Obasanjo traded off their land making this people refugee in other community. The same Obasanjo is spending his leisure time writing letters that portray him as a saint. Obasanjo political skimming have seen the like of Gov Amerchi of Rivers state betraying president jonathan and unneccessary fighting against him. Under Obasanjo activities pdp is divided with 7 governors defecting to APC. |
I want to know the differences between the german spoken in austria and the one spoken in germany. I also want to know the differences between the dutch spoken in the netherland and the dutch spoken in beligium ( flemish ) and the one spoken in south africa ( afrikaan ) by the white population. Seasons greeting to you all in the house |
The truth is that barbing job is very lucratve in south africa ( it is equally lucrative in Nigeria) Mind you the south african immigration will not grant you visa because it is classified as an unskilled job and it will not boost their country economy and create better job for their citizen when you invest. There are option marry a south african citizen to get a resident permit and that will offer you a chance to secure a business papers. Secondly, you can run a business partnership with a south african citizen he will help you with all the business registration processes since he also stand to benefits in the sharing of profits. But there are dangers to this as a south african partner can report you to their local immigration authorities to deport you when your visa papers expires. When you are on your way to Lagos Nigeria they are busy helping themselves with all the money you worked for. |
I would like to know from shoprite staff or those who have attended their interview the procedure for applying for jobs in shoprite. Also, what are the position they conduct interview for? How do Shoprite fiil positions in their outlets that is outside Lagos or Abuja? Is there anything like online application through their official website. Thanks |
I only pray that the National Conference took off sucessfully. Nigeria is on the brink of a break up, our unity is not just there again. We practise false federalism in which some states just get lazy and then wait for federal allocation. |
There are a large number of Nigerian students who travel to Malaysia to study. I am of the view that our Malaysia based students should be able to provide you with practical information about Brunei since the country in question ( Brunei ) shares border with the Sarawak and Sabah region of Malaysia. Most of our Nigerian students in Malaysia, our business men/women and other working class professional may be visiting Brunei from Malaysia. Best of Luck! |

Can I correspond with a Nigerian that is living and working in the tourism sectors ( travel and tour business hotel industry ) in Greece and or Cyprus. As for Cyprus, I prefer someone who is based in south cyprus as north cyprus which is under Turkish control is not as Buoyant and economically developed as the south cyprus which is equally a part of the EU and of course use the single currency the euro as its currency. |
The press call her stephanie Linus and other media sites including nairaland call her Stephanie Okereke. Having married one expect her marital name to reflect in some or if not all her references but she has thrown that to the wastebin all for the favour coming from being a Nollywood actress. |
