I beg no even complicate issue. I'm not comparing Nigeria with EU per-say. I 'm just trying to point to you that we need each other no matter what background, tribe, religion etc.
Remember when the colonial master gave us independence, the nationalist were all happy that we got rid of colonialism. Nigeria was not amalgamated by Nigerians. We are destined to be together, Not even a civil war in the past or in the future will separate us. Maybe, if a call for national conference which may not be entertain by the majority. So, how will division work?
Why can't we use our strength on unity? And make sure our leader are accountable to the people. |

Eziachi: Those who still think that Nigeria will move an inch by still existing as one single nation are leaving in fool's paradise. Have you read the Sun today and heard a former senator telling it as it is, that Nigerians had been patching up things for fifty years and pretending to be one nation but they are fundamentally different, hence no peace. Your advice is for Biafra’s to field one candidate. Even if they fielded half candidate, you as a person will still vote for your tribe’s man and that it the way it is in Nigeria.
No sane person will expect Germany, Italy, Britain and France to be fused together as one country and expect what is happening today with Nigeria not to happen to them despite any system. Nigeria will never work as single nation. It has nothing to do with Biafra’s, just that they saw it long time ago while others are still waiting for a miracle year after year and thing gets worse instead of better. If Biafra’s had succeeded, they would had been far better than they are today inside Nigeria. The rest of what remains of Nigeria would have fared better because they will compete hand in hand with Biafra, if not for a anything but just to prove a point Look my brother, remember June 12 election when everybody voted for Abiola-Kingibe which was Moslem-Moslem ticket of the time. Just because Nigerians have the hope in them, we voted for them but was annull by IBB. Tofa did not even win his L.G. So rule out that any average Nigeria will not vote for Ibo president. Just provide a good candidate that the people want. I'm saying again this is an opportunity to take the fight to the polls. And on Europe issue. Please make inquires on what is called the European union. Arise Oh Compatriots. |

udezue: Now thats a silly question. Biafra achieved things that Nigeria till today haven't achieved. Biafra made technological advances that Nigeria have never been able to achieve. Britain knew why they wanted it dead. Black Africans independent and competing with white people is not what they wanted. Those scientists are in Europe now, some committed suicide while others just gave up and dumb Nigeria couldn't reabsorb them into the government just because of their rabid hatred towards Eastern people. My mom's college mate and friend helped manufacture the Ogbunigwe bomb. My dad and his colleagues working in the petroleum sector manufactured fuel/oil by form Palm Kernels when the oil producing regions and facilities were either lost or destroyed by Nigerian troops yet in USA we are debating the use of Corn to power vehicles. Biafra brought about the best in us. People were encouraged to use their talents for our benefit but in Nigeria we don't even promote that. Nigeria imports oil. Damn shame. Nigeria can't boast of making its own tanks, weapons, vehicles, etc. Industrial Designers from Nigeria can't make any living in Nigeria yet Nigeria imports goods when a significant segment of its population have the talents but lack government support. In Biafra they were supported and would be supported if Biafra succeeded. Biafra to me is about Black African self reliance and the ability to be what you can be.
What have Nigeria achieved? NOTHING but the one of the worst nations in the world. GENOCIDES, ABJECT POVERTY, DISEASES, RELIGIOUS ETHNIC VIOLENCE AND HATRED, DICTATORSHIP, ENVIRONMENTAL DISASTERS, ETC.
By the way must Igbos and other groups be part of Nigeria? I can't understand why you guys want us so much yet hate us so bad? chineke!!! Abasi mi!!!Nigerians are VERY SICK PEOPLE. Are you born during the civil war? Tell your folks that help to develop bomb that you are supporting another civil war and hear der response. Mr Houston - Why not use your energy toward the next political dispensation and help elect an Ibo president. This will be more realistic than a Biafra nation. |

Even if them divide Nigerian into four. One day some crazy biafrans will say they want to breakaway.
Guys, breaking Nigeria is not the solution.
I think the biafrans felt left out, no president from the region in recent time.
I will say instead of campaigning for division in this era. They need to come together and nominate a good candidate for the next election, someone with a good track record to move this sick nation to her full potentials. |

earTHMama: Big lie!!. A few friends have asked for my help in buying something for them out here but when they view the prices online or I get the stall prices, they flinch and go for the one in our local markets. Like the laptop example I gave you there, you cannot find it that cheap in UK or US and I don't care whether they are doing an 80% off sale.
Even if it's true, how many Nigerians have access to that abroad?. U dey talk of laptop wey guys bought with stolen credit card and they are selling at half price to us in Nigeria I 've been a victim of buying fakes stuff so many times. |
