An unidentified woman was allegedly thrown out of a moving car in Minna, the Niger State state capital.

According to Nuruddeen Isyaku Daza, a broadcaster at Prestige FM RADIO, the woman was pushed out of the vehicle at Shango near the Niger State College of Education (COE) Minna on Sunday night, May 9.

Mr Daza said details of the incident are still sketchy but the woman seemed either drunk or drugged.

A video of an erring driver hitting a police officer off the bridge while trying to resist arrest has surfaced online.

According to the footage, the driver was driving against traffic and was apprehended by security agents which includes LATSMA officials and police officers. In his attempt to flee the scene, the driver in the process hit the police officer who was standing behind his vehicle. The police officer fell off the bridge and into the canal. Thankfully he survived the fall.

The driver became terrified and began to plead for forgiveness.

Police operatives attached to Surulere Division of the Lagos state police command have arrested one Peter Arinola, at the Empire Area in Surulere, for using an English Pistol to threaten a prostitute while negotiating and harassing her for sex.

Muyiwa Adejobi, the spokesperson of the state police command, said the suspect intended to use the pistol to intimidate the lady to agree to his terms and the amount he wanted to pay, but the lady insisted on certain amount of money. He said Peter brought out the pistol and wanted to force the lady to have sex with him. The lady raised alarm and Peter was overpowered and arrested by the people around the brothel.

''The police swung into action and further investigation revealed that the suspect used to assist an armed robber (name withheld) to keep the pistol for operations. The police later recovered 5 rounds of ammunition in the room of the lady during the course of their investigation.

The Commissioner of Police has ordered that the owner of the pistol and suspected armed robber, who is at large, be apprehended by all means and brought to book.''Adejobi said

Popular Nigerian big boy and businessman, Ismaila Mustapha popularly called Mompha has broken silence on the 157million naira fraud allegations leveled against him.
It was reported that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC has placed a charge on Mompha for being involved in money laundering with one Mr. Babafemi, the Chief Executive Officer of 606 Autos LTD and Splash Off Entertainment Limited.

Mr. Babafemi has been on trial since November 1, 2019 and accused of being an agent of fraud suspects named by the US Federal Investigation Bureau (FBI) of which Mompha is one, however he denied the accusation.

Taking to his Instagram page, Mompha said the reports that he has defrauded anybody is false and a deliberate move by some persons to dent his reputation as they are all lies.

A boy, Oyeachonam Okonkwo, 10, has become the youngest king in Igboland after he was crowned following his father's death.

His father, Igwe Akuebisi, the Olame 1 Of Iyiora Anam. Anambra state, was buried in December 2020 and the boy was crowned on Thursday, January 7, 2021.

He was crowned the Igwe Olanme II of Iyiora Anam.

A tailor identified as Iya Michael is currently writhing in pains at the hospital after her live-in partner, Lasisi Omotayo, assaulted her over N5000 at their residence in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State.

According to multiple sources, the suspect is always fond of collecting money from her and beating her afterwards.

“She had borrowed N5k for feeding from him and he demanded a refund. She told him to replace it with all the monies he had borrowed form her. An argument ensued and he beat her to a pulp. We had to rush her to the hospital for treatment,” a source said.

However, Lasisi is bragging that no one can do anything to him while the victim is calling on the relevant authorities to come to her aid.
