A woman and her young son have been killed by gunmen in Nagu village, Katsina-Ala Local Government Area of Benue State.

The armed men killed the woman, her son and her brother-in-law after razing part of Nagu village in the early hours of Sunday, December 27.

The attacks also left several persons injured while many have reportedly fled their homes to neighbouring villages for fear of being killed.

Confirming the incident, a former lawmaker that represented Katina-Ala East constituency in the Benue State House of Assembly, Mr Ianna Jato, said those killed in the attack were memebers of his family.

"The armed men came around 3 am, yesterday, and attacked Nagu, which is my village. They burnt part of the village after which they killed my brother’s wife, her son and another of my brother," he said.

“I cannot understand why they did this, but those behind the attack just called me a few minutes ago with the phone of my brother’s wife, which they took away after killing the woman.

"They said I should tell the military personnel who are in Shetile land to leave our place otherwise they would continue to cause mayhem and also continue with the killings in our communities. I have reported the matter to the Divisional Police Officer in Katsina-Ala and he is making arrangements to evacuate the corpses.” he added.

BBNaija Star, Laycon, has taken to his Twitter page to rant over the continued rehabilitation of terrorists in Nigeria by the Federal Government.

His actions ensued following the attacks of the Boko Haram on some 500 Kankara boys who were abducted in Katsina. The winner of Big Brother Naija Season 5, considered the Boko Harm to be the terrorists. This is because they do kill people and destroy the properties of the citizens.

Tems has reportedly gone on a hunger strike, being remanded in prison together with her colleague Omah Lay following their arrest and detained by the Police in Uganda for violating the country’s COVID-19 laws.
The two Nigerian artists held a concert in Uganda that was sold out, and the Uganda Police Force arrested and charged them on the basis of negligently doing acts likely to spread infectious diseases after a local artist identified as Babe Cool complained to the police to arrest them for performing during the pandemic season.

Tems and Omah Lay, who were in court on December 14, for a hearing told an official she does not want to eat any food after already going 34 hours without food.

Vinne, one of the crew members of the Nigerian superstar, Davido, has revealed that rival of his boss, Wizkid did not get any Grammy 2021 nomination.

According to Vinne, contrary to views that Wizkid who was featured in the “Brown Skin girl” video that was nominated for the Grammy awards covers only Beyoncé and the producers of the video.

In a post he shared on his social media page he explained that it was sad on the path of Twitter influencers in Nigeria to mislead the public about Wizkid’s alleged nomination when in real fact, it was only Beyoncé and the producers of the video who were nominated.

Big Brother Naija star, Ozoemena, has recreated one of the popular photos of the late Muhammad Ali.

Ozo, remade the black and white photo of the late boxing legend, posed underwater, in a ‘ready to box’ position.

The reality show star took to his Instagram page to share the photo, which is almost a complete match to Muhammad Ali’s as he pays tribute to the legend.

He shared the photo, and captioned it with one of Muhammad Ali’s popular quotes; “Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee.”

Though we are not sure if there is any exact reason for the photo, but we can only guess, Ozo probably admires that particular photo, and decided to recreate it in honour to the late boxer.

“Legends never die”, another part of the caption read.

This Muhammad Ali photo, has been recreated by many other people, always in honour and memory of the legend.
