WE SENT PDP OUR MANIFESTO! Why I supported Oyetola instead of Adeleke, Omisore explains

The governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party in Osun State, Senator Iyiola Omisore, has said that he opted to support the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, in the rerun election in the state because the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party in the state said they did not need his support.

Omisore said this in Osogbo on Thursday during a meeting with members of the SDP from across the 30 local government areas of the state.

Omisore, who defected from the PDP to the SDP some months before the election, said that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar wanted to come and discuss with him before the rerun when he came to Osogbo but he (Atiku) was prevented from coming by the leadership of the PDP in the state.

A former Nigerian Ambassador to the Philippines, Dr Yemi Farounbi, had said this while narrating why Omisore decided to work for the APC candidate in the rerun supplementary poll held on September 27.

Farounbi said the same thing and Omisore, while addressing the party members, said he adopted everything the former envoy had said.

He said the party opted to support the candidate of the party that was ready to implement the manifestos of the SDP because the party was for the best interest of the majority of the people.

Omisore said,

“I want to adopt all what Dr Farounbi said. We gave them (APC and PDP) our manifesto. We dwelled on payment of arrears of salaries, pensions and gratuities, on local content, employment for our youths and the reorganisation of the educational system, among others.

“We went to negotiation with a clear mind that Osun must be free and thank God our coalition has produced a new future for the state.

“In addition to what Dr Faroumbi said, the National Chairman of the APC, Adams Oshiomole, said clearly that our discussion was devoid of any financial commitment. He said they were ready to work.”

Speaking earlier, Farounbi had explained that the SDP leaders decided to support any political party that was ready to put the people of the state first, saying Omisore earned his respect more because he was selfless in arriving at who to support.

He said the issue of arrears of salaries, pensions and gratuities which had impoverished workers and pensioners was given priority. The reorganisation of the education sector and local content were also prominent on their agenda.


Farounbi said,
“Apart from these, we also said the state must return to 6-3-3-4. That contracts and services must be given to Osun indigenes; that infrastructural development and food security must be given priority because our people must not be hungry and they agreed.

“The Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki, was the first to come and he came from the airport to Ile-Ife with some senators and Dr Doyin Okupe. We gave him our manifesto and we waited for 24 hours but no response. We heard that they were saying that we wanted to reap where we did not sow. We heard that they said they would win without us and all that.

“Also, former Ogun State Governor, Gbenga Daniel, who is the director general of Atiku Abubakar Presidential Campaign Organisation, called and said they were in Osogbo and they would come to see us. But they did not come.

“But former Vice President Atiku Abubakar called and expressed his regret for not being able to come. He said he wanted to come but the leadership of the PDP in Osun State said they should not come because they didn’t need us. That we should go and do anything we liked.”

Jowie Irungu Had Super Unprotected Sex With Monica Kimani Before Murdering Her

The investigating team has turned a new leaf. DNA analysis report now shows that the prime suspect Joseph Irungu aka Jowie was at the scene of the crime and had super unprotected sex with the late Monica Kimani

The report points at a possibility of Monica Kimani and Joseph Irungu having had sexual intercourse on the night she died.

Investigators indicate that Jowie and Monica had a consensual sex. It is also assumed that Irungu tricked Monica into having a sex while tied to make it more kinky and adventurous only to slit her throat after a wonderful unprotected sex.

The sexual relationship between Jowie and Monica might have been going on for sometime, he was a Love Machine or a tool for use given the fact that the late was dating a 73 octogenarian

DNA tests on semen found on the slain girl, and other samples from under her nails, confirmed with a 99.9 per cent accuracy that they belonged to Irungu, placing him at the scene of crime on the material day and time. Other samples, including bloodstained fingerprints, matched 99 per cent those collected from Irungu, police said. A senior officer involved in the probe said: “We are now working on witnesses.” Other samples with similar findings had been dusted from an adhesive tape that was found covering Monica’s mouth, a rope used to tie her hands, and the bathtub. The bloodstains were found on a sofa set. The investigators said fingerprints lifted from Monica’s body also matched those of Irungu.

Police believe the killer used a knife to cut Monica’s throat. The knife has yet to be found. The killer immersed the woman’s two mobile phones in water and police say the phones, which were recovered and analysed, gave crucial information.

Pieces of cloth subjected to forensic tests also provided crucial clues, police said. The team also dusted a car that Irungu was using on September 19, when Monica was killed.

Images captured by police cameras of the car Irungu used from Denis Pritt Road to his Lang’ata residence showed that the driver was in the company of another man. The second person has yet to be identified. Police have also yet to know the motive of the murder but said they suspected it could be money.

The detectives are now looking for one Dominic Kamau, whose identity card was used by Irungu to gain access to Monica’s apartment.

It is not clear why Irungu presented the identification document to guards at the compound. The detectives said they were looking for Kamau for questioning and to understand why his ID was used.

HE WILL RESCUE ME FROM POVERTY! Nigerian man trains his two-year-old to become a mechanic [Photo]

A photo of a Nigerian man training his two-year-old son in his mechanic workshop is currently making the round on the internet.

According to one John Nta who shared the story on his Facebook page, the unidentified little boy was learning how to repair a tricycle in Akwa Ibom.

The Facebook user said that the strange scenario propelled him to interview the mechanic.


He further said that he was amazed to see the two-year-old boy obeying instructions from his father.

“The lens of my superior camera caught this duo working on a customer’s tricycle popularly called Keke yesterday at Itikke street, off ikot ekpene Rd.

“When I spotted them, I became curious and went to interview the mechanic.

Excerpts:

Me: Good afternoon sir.
Mechanic: Good afternoon bro, you bring work?(sic)
Me: No sir, I saw you and the little boy working and became curious and decided to come and admire your work.
Mechanic: Ok bro.
Me: Who is he, your son orrrrrr..
Mechanic: (cuts in) he’s my son. He is very strong.
When he comes back from school, he works here with me.
Me: How old is he? I think he’s too small to start now to work.
Mechanic: Who told you?? That boy knows all the spanners and their numbers. I want him to repair aeroplane in future so that he will rescue me from poverty.

….There and then, he told the boy to get him 10 spanner, I was shocked to see this 2 years old boy fiddle through the tool box and brought out number 10 spanner for the dad.

The Economic And Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested two people suspected to be operators of examination malpractice websites.

Emeka Ebunoha and Igwe Obumneme Samuel were arrested in Port Harcourt, the Zonal Head of Operations of the EFCC, Mr Nnaghe Obono Itam.

Itam made this known while addressing newsmen on the activities of the Zone in the last 9 months on Wednesday in Port Harcourt, Rivers state.

He said Emeka and Samuel are a part of an internet syndicate selling leaked examination papers to students sitting for the West African School Certificate Examination (WASCE).

They are also allegedly responsible for leakages of examination papers of the National Examination Council (NECO) and the Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB).

The two suspects are allegedly running two websites: www.examsort.com and www.expomata..com.

They confessed that the websites were created to sell leaked examination questions and answers to students and that they were being paid through payments into their bank accounts or through receipt of recharge cards from students patronising them.

The two suspects would soon be charged to court.

“Rinamanyanga hariputirwe” this Shona adage took precedence for a man from Ndimo Village, Nyajena who was slapped with a 15 year jail term for raping and impregnating a mentally ill women

Albert Mugabe (58) appeared before Senior Regional Magistrate Judith Zuyu facing rape charges.

Prosecuting, Edwin Mbavarira told the court that on an unknown date in 2017 at around 2000hrs Albert Mugabe visited mentally ill Rwamisa Gwationa (38) sneaked in her house and ordered her to caress his organ before having unprotected consent with Gwationa without her consent.

As fate would have it,the matter came to light in March this year after Gwationa divulged to her sister Viola that she was pregnant.

Viola later reported the matter at Renco Mine Police station leading to the incarceration of Mugabe.

The Complainant (Gwationa) told the Court that Mugabe gave her Zapknacks after having intercourse with her.

Senior Regional Magistrate Zuyu sentenced Mugabe to 15 years in prison of which 5 years where wholly suspended for 3 years on condition that the caused does not commit an offence similar to the one he committed.

An unemployed 33-year-old single mother from Bulawayo (Zimbabwe) rushed in panic to alert her boyfriend’s wife after unknown assailants attacked and killed her lover while the two were having se_x in a bush.

The duo was allegedly attacked by two people who were wearing black clothes that covered them up at a rocky area between Mabutweni and Njube suburbs at about 10PM on Saturday.

The incident happened some metres away from the man’s house in Mabutweni.

Jameson Mwembe allegedly took advantage of an electricity blackout to have a tryst with Fadzai Mativenga (33), one of his neighbours.

Mativenga is in a critical condition at Mpilo Central Hospital as she sustained head injuries.

Mwembe’s wife, Mrs Rudo Mwembe, said a bloodied Mativenga broke away from the assailants and rushed to inform her that her husband had been attacked.

She said Mativenga initially lied to her.

“At around 10PM, this woman came knocking at my door, she called me by name. She told me that she was on her way from church when she found my husband lying lifeless on the ground. I suspected she had a hand in my husband’s attack because why would she know me by name and my house.

“When l wanted to rush to get a vehicle to take my husband to hospital, she said we should first rush to the scene and check if he was still breathing,” said Mrs Mwembe, who struggled to speak between sobs.

She said she only learnt that Mativenga was Mwembe’s girlfriend when the police were taking statements.

Mativenga who lives alone is a single mother of three.

She is not currently employed. Her married lover left behind a wife and three children aged 15, 12 and 8; all of the girls.

A lecturer at the Department of Science Laboratory and Technology [SLT] of the School of Evening Studies, Auchi Polytechnic, Edo State, has fled after allegedly injuring some students.

The incident happened during lectures around 4 pm, on September 29, 2018. The said Ecology Lecturer was said to have accompanied his fellow Genetic Lecturer to assist in Genetics practicals.

Woman Giving an account of the incident, Miss Blessing, a student who witnessed the brutality, said:

“He gave an order for the students that were not seated, to wait outside while the practical was on.

He then slammed the door against one Mrs. Dele Miracle, a pregnant woman. He repeated the same action against another female student, who was injured and left bleeding.”

His action elicited a violent reaction from the students. The lecturer was mobbed and punched by the angry students until he fled the scene.

Two families in Accra hoping to cap a good weekend with the marriage ceremony of their children, ended up experiencing their saddest moments ever, after the groom died from a crash on their way to the wedding reception in Accra.

Janatil Firdaws Yakubu became a widow 24 hours after she became a bride on Saturday, September 29, 2018. She lost her husband Disu Kamaru barely a day after she began a new phase of her life.

The two lover-birds got married at an Islamic ceremony in Takoradi in the Western region and decided to have a wedding party in Accra, Sunday.
Posts on social media suggest that the newlyweds were on their way to the Africana Guest House near the Atomic Roundabout for their party, when another vehicle crashed into theirs at Madina, Accra.
But a family source has denied that account. According to the source, the groom, who was driving the vehicle crashed into a tree and died shortly after friends rushed him to the hospital.
Joy News Maxwell Agbagba who was at the scene of the accident said the groom and driver of the Hyundai Santafe lost control of the steering wheel. There was blood stains on the air bag.

The bride-turned-widow is in critical condition. Family members have taken away access to her phones and dread breaking the news to her.

Grief-stricken friends and family turned the reception ground into an arena of mourning. The misfortune they say, is unheard of. Friends are still in shock.
A family source has told Joy News’ Maxwell Agbagba the deceased will be buried later Monday, October 1, 2018.

A Air Niugini carrier that overshot a runway in Micronesia has crashed in the ocean around 9.30am Friday local time.

The plane was scheduled to take off at 9.55am from the airport on Weno island in Chuuk state headed for Port Moresby in Papua New Guinea.

The PNG Accident Investigation Commission is preparing a team to travel to the site of the accident. A video posted to by Eriko Rekis’ Facebook page shows dozens of people on small boats surrounding the aircraft.

It is not known whether there are any injuries, or how many people were on board. There were 36 passengers and 11 crew members on board who are rescued by locals.

Weeks after being arrested for killing her husband over suspicion of infidelity, Mrs. Damilola Ayeni, 23, has finally opened up on what transpired, that night, at their Bamgboye Street, Lagos Island residence.

The suspect had been accused of using a kitchen knife to stab Olumide Ayeni, a staff of Lagos Island Hospital who bled profusely and died at the Lagos Island General Hospital on Friday the 3rd of August 2018.

Damilola revealed that she did not set out to kill him but lost control due to anger and she eventually murdered him. The mother of two added that she had not come to terms with what really happened on that day and wished it never happened.

She recalled that their two years old marriage was characterized with crises on suspicions of infidelity and mistrust, which resulted to constant quarrelling and fighting that eventually led to her husband’s death.

She has been charged before the Ebute Metta Magistrates court and arraigned for murder. The prosecutor, Inspector Mana Dauda, informed the court that it was a case of domestic violence that led to the death of the victim.

A 31-year-old notorious cultist, Olamide Oloruntobi, was last night killed during a gun battle with policemen at Ishashi, Ojo, Lagos.

Olamide was said to have been the leader of the Aiye cult group in that area. It was gathered that the deceased was gunned down at about 8:50pm, at Durosooto Street, Celenizer, New Mebamu, Ishashi.

Hoodlums, allegedly led by the deceased, were said to be terrorising residents of the street when information got to the Divisional Police Officer (DPP) Ishashi Amuda Abolaji, a Superintendent (SP).

Abolaji, it was learnt, led policemen to the area and were engaged in gunbattle with the criminals. At the end of the exchange, Oloruntobi was found dead. His locally made pistol with one live ammunition, have been recovered while his corpse have been deposited at Badagry General Hospital mortuary for autopsy.

Ok, I was in court today with my sister for my mum's murder case. Most of you know how my mum was abducted by her driver in 2011 and later killed and kept in her deep freezer where she was later found dead...
So, today in court, the driver and his brother who killed her, excused me to the side to plead with me to plead with the court before judgement which will be months from now, in order for the Judge to give them a lesser sentence. This shit messed up my head, even though these guys had earlier begged and apologised to myself and my sister, and we have wholeheartedly forgiven them, even before the said apology. Myself and my sister have taken a decision on this, but I thought to share this with you, to see what you would do in the circumstance, with someone's life almost in your hands technically... phewww!!!!
