Politics / Igboho’s Unconditional Release Is Proof Self-determination Isn’t A Crime – Alloy by nairalandankrah: 5:28am On Mar 09, 2022
.

Aloy Ejimakor, special counsel to Nnamdi Kanu, the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has reacted to the release of Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo (Igboho).

Ejimakor, in a tweet, said the release of the Yoruba activist by the Beninese government showed that self-determination was neither a crime nor an extraditable offence.

He, therefore, called on the Nigerian government and the court to reverse its injustice against Kanu.

In a tweet, Ejimakor wrote: “The release of Igboho by the Benin Republic has validated the universal law that #SelfDetermination is neither a crime nor an extraditable offence. If it is, Igboho would’ve been extradited to Nigeria. If Nigeria fails to reverse its injustice to #NnamdiKanu, its courts must.”

Igboho was released by the Beninese Government on Monday and handed over to Prof Banji Akintoye, the leader of the Ilana Omo Oodua Worldwide, a Yoruba self-determination group.

Igboho had been detained in a prison facility in the Republic of Benin, after he was arrested with Ropo, his wife, at Cardinal Bernardin International Airport, Cotonou, while on his way to Germany in July 2021.
This was after he was declared wanted by the Department of State Services, DSS.

Following the Unconditional release of Yoruba nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo (Igboho), on Monday from detention by the Beninese government, eliciting jubilation in several quarters in the South-West region....

Igboho had been detained in a prison facility in the Republic of Benin, after he was arrested with Ropo, his wife, at Cardinal Bernardin International Airport, Cotonou, while on his way to Germany in July 2021.

Sunday Igboho
The 49-year-old agitator fled Nigeria for Benin Republic after the Nigerian government declared him wanted.

But on Monday, the Ilana Omo Oodua, a self-determination group confirmed Igboho's release, in a statement issued by its Communications Secretary, Maxwell Adeleye.

According to Maxwell, the agitator has regained total freedom and is permitted to hold rallies if he wishes.

The decision to remain in Benin Republic for now, he said, was taken amongst Igboho and the other Yoruba leaders and not the decision of the court.

Maxwell said Igboho was not released to any medical practitioner as he stated that the Yoruba activist slept at his house in Cotonou on Monday.

He said, “Igboho was not stopped from holding rally, he was not released to any medical personnel he slept in his own house in Cotonou yesterday. It was an understanding that he should remain in Benin for now, to security reasons because he can be easily picked up if he returned to Nigeria.

There are no bail conditions. He has been released, he is free to enjoy his life and can do whatever he wants to do.”

The problem with you biased analyst is that, you’re quick to castigate Napoli players whenever osimehn doesn’t excel at a game and exculpate him of any blame, While denigrating his teammates. Remember, if you’re making statements like “ these guys are bad at football” it also include Osimehn because he is a record signing. Whenever they lose, people are quick to blame the players while ‘excluding’ osimehn of any blame, while whenever they’re winning, we’re quick to praise solely Osimehn

Taaa! Waa here... You did not even watch the match

Osimhen similar to Maradona according to His coach Spaletti..

After Cagliari's equalizer, Osimhen brought the ball to the center of the pitch and tried to shake his teammates. Does Napoli always have to put on this competitive fury?

This movement of animal anger that one must have in certain situations was Maradona, Osimhen has it,

When he comes on you, when he makes those two or three bars in a row in going to attack the opponents you see that he has it. They are characteristics. He has those snags that need to be supported. .

It is not easy because if the midfielders have 10 meters below, he takes another 20 meters in 50 meters of speed. He has to get us there, he's on fire, but the others don't know how to go at his speed. You need to have a compact, short team. Osimhen is super, he has some extra-qualities. Which is not easy to find in everyone.

- Spaletti in his pre- match conference

Ebunoluwa2020:
• As Nigerians urge VP to contest 2023 Presidency
By Oluwafemi Popoola

The viral photo of Nigeria’s Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, on Ijaw attire in an event in Bayelsa State, on Saturday, February 19, 2022 has set tongues wagging on the internet immediately the picture was released from the Vice President’s office.

The spokesperson of the Vice President, Laolu Akande, had earlier in a post, where the photograph was officially released via his Twitter handle, announced his principal’s itinerary to Bayelsa State, the home state of former President Goodluck Jonathan, where he was scheduled to flag off the construction of the Angiama-Oporoma Bridge said to have been conceived 60 years ago, after which he would pay a courtesy call on the Traditional Rulers Council in the State.

The splendour of this charismatic visual presentation of the cosmopolitan Prof Osinbajo has made many Nigerians on social media reacted and commented on this adorable photo which was prolifically captured by the official photographer of the Vice President, Tolani Alli.

The self-acclaimed storyteller is renowned for her creativity through her lenses. She knows how to steal the spotlight with her stunning and captivating moments of the Vice President in images that often tell a thousand stories.

Osinbajo, in the picture donning an Ijaw outfit with a hat and bejewelled top, completed the neat tailored outfit with a walking stick, as he visited Bayelsa State to flag-off the construction of the Angiama-Oporoma bridge along with Governor Douye Diri.

Taking excerpts from the torrent of comments Nigerians posted on social media following the viral photo’s release of Twitter, a user charging the Vice President to run the 2023 race, wrote: “@ProfOsinbajo
Dear Mr Vice President, how else should we ask you to declare your interest for the 2023 presidential election? Please time is going. Millions of Nigerians won’t forgive you if you don’t contest. We need intellectually sound President.”

In the same vein, another Twitter user, commenting wrote: “If you attempt you may succeed.
When you don’t, you have already failed. Just do it, PYO.”

“The man for the right job. Clear road!” Said another user who wrote on Twitter

While also reacting to the picture, Ajuri Ngalale, the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the President on Public Affairs took to social media on his official Twitter page and wrote this:

”I do not usually comment on things like pictures, but this is some different kind of image right here. Too many words can be used to describe it, yet none willfully do it justice.

Kudos to the great @tolanialli and, of course, to a great man we study daily, H.E @ProfOsinbajo.”

Another Twitter user, Adewumi Collins captioned the picture with this, “Osinbajo momentum is rolling fast, and nothing will stop him.”

“One photo = a thousand words.
P.S. I have not seen anyone rock this outfit like this in a cool while.” one Susan Henshaw wrote.

Another Twitter user, Chigozirim appealed to the APC to field Osinbajo as their presidential flag bearer. He said, “Keep this man’s on the ballot box, and see PDP lose the election before 12 pm on February 2023.”

Also, the reactions found their way and extended to Facebook, another social media channel where a user commenting via Liberty Badmus Olawale wrote: “Good Afternoon Bayelsa. His Excellency is here!!!
Swag too plenty !
#FaceOfHope23”

https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1419977298437370&id=100012753390061

“Our man, your man, arriving Bayelsa today. WE MOVE” Babafemi Ojudu, the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Political Matters to the President wrote on his Facebook wall with Osinbajo’s viral photograph.

https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10161635737919689&id=820579688

“Oomo..see swag!!
Who won’t be proud to have this iconic personality as President.
Eni iyi, Eni eye.
#FaceOfHope23,” wrote a Facebook user commenting via Juwon Tunde.

https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10222492739731511&id=1360486545

The Vice President paid a courtesy visit on the Bayelsa State Traditional Rulers Council where he thanked custodians of the Ijaw tradition for the warm reception accorded him.

A Twitter user, commenting on the royal visit wrote: “Irrespective of our political affiliations as leaders; providing dividends of democracy to Nigerians should be the major priority.

“Nigerians don’t ask for many things, just provide the basic needs/amenities.”

The traditional institution in the area thereby conferred on him the title of Ebi-akubowei 1 (one who seeks good or progress) of Angiama Kingdom.

Lately, there has been a proliferation of diverse support groups across the nation mobilizing for the support of the Vice President by urging him to contest the 2023 presidential election.

The Vice President, however, has been tight-lipped about his rumoured presidential ambition. Although, both his body language and moves in the public space, however, show that he may be interested and probably waiting for the appropriate time to make his decision known to the public.

[s]Wrong sir. Business men are by nature the worst political leaders. This is because they are naturally designed to be selfish and only think of making profit for themselves. Governance on the other hand focuses on selfless service to society. It's the reason why Donald trump practically destroyed america. He's now under trial for fraud, tax evasion and using his position as president to enrich himself.
Businessmen don't create jobs because they want to help society. The jobs are created to make them richer[/s]!

Politics / Unemployed Youths in Algeria Now Receive 100$ Each Every Month. by nairalandankrah: 9:00am On Feb 19, 2022
Algeria President, Abdelmadjid Tebboune has began to pay unemployed youths up to $100 (¢650) in unemployment benefits for young adults.

He made the announcement on Tuesday, stating that the payments to jobseekers aged between 19 and 40 would begin in March 2022 and it is aimed at preserving “ the dignity of young people”.

Algeria relies on revenue from oil and gas to run its economy and is reported to have over 800,000 unemployed Algerian youths.

Those who are eligible will be able to collect the payments of about $100 (£73) a month(N41,500), as well as some medical benefits until they find work.

In addition, taxes on consumer products for beneficiaries will be suspended. Tebboune noted that Algeria was the first country outside Europe to introduce such a benefit.

Politics / Leave IPOB, ESN Out Of Your Ordeal, Adamu Garba Warns Abba Kyari by nairalandankrah: 7:55pm On Feb 18, 2022
A one-time presidential aspirant under the All Progressives Congress (APC) Adamu Garba, has told the embattled Abba Kyari to leave the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) or Eastern Security Network (ESN) out of his ordeal.

Kyari, a Deputy Commissioner if Police (DCP) had been indicted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) over his allegedly fraudulent ties to Ramon Olorunwa Abbas aka Hushpuppi and also arrested by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) also for alleged involvement in drug dealing.

Kyari told a constituted panel that the allegations levelled against him were being masterminded by members of the IPOB and ESN because of his consistent umbrage at them in the South-East.

In a short Facebook update, Adamu Garba warned Kyari to bear his cross, noting that none of the parties was to blame for what had befallen him.

The post reads, “Abba Kyari should stop blaming IPOB or ESN, he should carry his cross because he acted as a common criminal and should be treated like one.”

Adamu Garba hinted that allegations against Kyari are legitimate and that he should be dealt with within the confines of the law.
