for Man united and chelsea fans in the house, i need to get your opinion on this...... someone said that Osimhen is the much smarter buy for man united in terms of age profile but in terms of playing profile Kane is much more what United needs as they're currently constructed. He also said that Osimhen is a super low touch player (striker) who is mainly a box striker, and that even Haaland is involved in play for City more than Osimhen for Napoli. He said that osi is the kind of player who simply won't touch the ball all game and then head in a goal. He is in the 4th percentile in passes attempted per game despite playing in the most possession-heavy side in Serie A. . So analysts in the house, what are your thoughts

Politics / I’ve Booked Appointment With Buhari On Kanu’s Release – Soludo by nairalandankrah: 1:28pm On Mar 06, 2023 |
Anambra Governor Chukwuma Soludo has reiterated his commitment to ensuring immediate release of the detained leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. Soludo disclosed this on Monday in a quarterly statewide briefing, meant to intimate Anambra people of his activities in government. He said he had booked a session with President Muhammadu Buhari, and was waiting for appointment, where he hoped to discuss issues of security in the South East, particularly Kanu’s release. In reply to Soludo’s request, the Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami had said that Soludo only made a statement but has not applied to the court, or to his office about Kanu’s release. But speaking during the quarterly briefing, Soludo said he hope to meet President Buhari, and also speak with him on the imperative of releasing Kanu. “What is still holding him back is a political issue. I am awaiting confirmation of appointment with the President to hand him the letter officially.” https://thenationonlineng.net/ive-booked-appointment-with-buhari-on-kanus-release-soludo/ 3 Likes

Politics / 2023: No Difference Between Tinubu And Obi"s Manifesto - Catriona Laing by nairalandankrah: 8:02pm On Feb 23, 2023 |
They have all told us how important it is to take policy decisions. But are there differences? In terms of policies, I did not see much differences." The United Kingdom High Commissioner to Nigeria, Catriona Laing, says there is no striking difference between the manifestoes of Nigeria’s leading presidential candidates, especially in the area of policy. She also said her country’s government is not backing any of the 18 presidential candidates and is ready to work with any of them that emerge president in the 25 February election. Ms Laing stated this during an interview on Channels TV on Tuesday. Mr Tinubu has the “Renewed Hope 23”, while Mr Atiku released a manifesto titled “My Covenant with Nigeria”. For Mr Obi, he is counting on his “Our Pact with Nigeria” while Mr Kwanwaso released “My Pledges To You”. Ms Laing said observers are buoyed by the pledge of the candidates to take some hard decisions on the economy because there is a nexus between economy and security. “They have all published their manifestoes. What is quite striking is how similar they are. I did not see huge policy differences among them, I did not see much differences. “We have engaged with the big four and I have met with some of the smaller parties as well. We know them well and like Channels TV, we are not backing any candidate. We can work with anybody who wins this election because that will be the choice of the people. Whoever comes in will have a lot of challenges, on security and the economy. “We urge all the candidates to take early action on the economy—when the economy functions, the security environment will also improve. The security we see is related to joblessness and lack of alternative livelihood,” she said. Threat of sanctions, visa ban The envoy stated that the most important thing is that Obedients must be ready to accept the outcome of the election, noting that the UK and its allies are ready to deploy necessary sanctions. https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/583389-2023-uk-not-backing-any-candidate-says-no-difference-in-manifestoes-of-top-four-contenders.html
