I do agree that a higher percent of music of a particular country should be played on their radios and during events.
I saw an interview of a particular artist (not mentioning name) from Kenya by a Kenyan top show. At the end of the
interview a Nigerian song was played.
I am a Nigerian but did not like that, not because we are not one Africa, to me it seemed awkward to say the least.
Back to topic I think more of their artist music should be played.
We do it in Nigeria too. In certain parties local artist from that particular region is played because of those present
at the party.

The true is that with the current model of our system of government thing will never work. Why will we not give the regions the power to handle there natural resources. If we are practicing real federalism where each state is independent and managed there own resources thing would have been better. The problem of Nigeria start where federal takes over the control of the natural resources from the regions. Having live in Canada for sometime I notice the each province (states) are independent and manage there own resources. The province also manage there own electricity generation, education, have different tax system. We have to realize that each states is unique and will grow at its own pace. The problem with Nigeria is also that states are created for political reason that why some states is not economical viable. We need to go back to regional government or recreate states so they will be economical viable and reduce power in the federal level. In Nigeria we look up to federal government for everything. Most states just wait when the federal alocation will come. The will never make us productive. Canada, Australia and other advanced countries used this system and it works. Our productivity as a nation started to decline when the power was take from the regional government to the federal level. For people that is afraid that the unity of Nigeria will be compromise by this system of giving more power to the regions. The unity of any nation will always be better if the terms of the unity is negotiated and accepted by majority of the people. Like in Canada Quebec province is like a nation within Canada. If Switzerland so province are also like that. Power and responsibilities that is in the federal level in Nigeria is so big that it can't be manages effectively that why states will be better is more power and responsibilities is given to them.
I will end my argument by saying power in all forms corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely like the federal system we operates. Thank you.

There is a lot of blaming going on and I am very happy to read those who were asking pertinent questions
like what has the agencies put in place done, role of Federal, state and local govt done, communities leaders and youth role etc.
I agree with those who suggested that if the agencies put in place to help ND are not working they should be scrapped. In as much as
I agree I also want to say that it failed because there was corruption between those allocating the money and those receiving so there was no
way there could be check and balances or accountability and that trickled down to the state, elders and youths.
My question now is who are we to blame more for the neglect in N.D.? The F.G, The agencies, State government, Elders or Youths? Sincere answers, please. Not party affiliated, this is the only way we can gro

From the comment Davido made and other controversies I read about the Headies over the years.
I think there is more going on with the Headies award than we outsider know.
Headies management should look into what is going on during the process of selection and make it more transperant.
It will give the award more value and not yearly beef between artists.

If you want to talk about developing other aspects of our economy, by no means do so without bringing in the people of Niger Delta.

The country is in a mess, we should be looking for a way to redeem it and not trying all the time to bring a group of people down. If I may ask, what does talking other people down do for you all? Does it change any aspects of your lives? It would be nice to know what it does for you all.
