There is a popular saying that may we live in interesting times and there is no better time to know the importance of this saying than now.

In an election period, everyone has his or he right to pitch support with a candidate or party of choice and I think no one should be brazenly insulted for exercising this fundamental right. Afterall, we all cannot be on the same side.

But this is not acceptable to supporters of the APC who always throw caution to the wind and resort to insults and personal attacks at the slightest presentation of facts or when someone airs a contrary opinion to their views.

I hereby beseech my dear friends in the APC to always argue based on fact and let the fact of the matter speak for itself. I always plead with all pdp supporters to toe the line of civility and desist from responding to such personal attacks but present their facts and always let the fact speak for itself

GEJ till we have a better candidate with a workable manifesto, not something that is mostly petty, grandiose and largely theoretical.

PDP more Muslim than APC, says VP Sambo


President Muhammed Namadi Sambo yesterday urged electorates not to be deceived by anyone in the name of religion to decide who to vote for in the upcoming general elections.

The vice President made the call in Minna during the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential campaign. He said his party has more Muslims in its leadership than the All Progressive Congress (APC).

He said “when people bring the issue of religion to deceive you, our party has more Muslims than APC. Therefore if this (is) the yardstick, we then have an edge.

"Our chairman is a Muslim; the Director General of our campaign is a Muslim likewise. I Namadina Namadina Sambo is a Muslim. It is only our presidential candidate that is a Christian.

"In APC, their chairman is a Christian, their Campaign Director General is a Christian and the Vice President is a Pastor. Now let me ask you, which between the parties has more Muslims?”
Sambo added that “Nigeria belongs to both Christians and Muslims. During Tafawa-Balewa, he worked with Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe a Christian, during Shagari he worked with Alex Ekweme, Obasanjo with Atiku, Late Umaru Yaradua with Dr. Goodluck Jonathan and now Goodluck with Namadi."

“Every Nigerian is responsible for this mess. A consumer ought to ensure he pays his bills, that his system is not overloaded and that NEPA equipment are protected.
Motorists always knock down NEPA equipment without making reports.
If the Nigerian does not want to be connected illegally, he won’t be connected.
Nigerians know precisely what they are doing.
It is no ignorance and they need no further education.
Nigerians know that if they go out to buy rice, they have to pay for it. Electricity supply is no different.”
Question 1, did Buhari’s admin take personal responsibility for not delivering constant power supply? NO
Question 2, did Buhari’s admin blame Nigerians for the problem of not being able to deliver constant power supply? Yes.
Consequently, as we can see, the narrative about Buhari delivering constant power supply is a myth. Worse still, despite having absolute power to do something about providing constant power supply, Buhari failed woefully, and not being able to deliver, his admin had the gall to blame Nigerians for their failure.
