pinkguy:On the contrary, my Northern brothers actually love him, and always sing his praises at every given opportunity. Wike active! The results are clear in the F.C.T. Forget cho cho cho! |
yarimo:Dem don full thread sharperly. The working F.C.T Minister, abeg dance relieve stress jare! |
These items are even cheaper in some supermarkets compared to some shed sellers. May depend on the location though. |
He did not spend up to 3 hours with the police; he has since be released. Criminals cannot use our police as a tool for intimidation. There are a plethora of cases of advance fee fraud with intimidation of the victims (locally and internationally), and it appears the rate of these crimes is on a steady increase. This is of serious concern regarding societal and moral values of a lot of Nigerians. |
AlaafinOfOyo:In all sincerity to yourself, you believe the British, on their arrival accurately drew the earlier maps labelling 'Ibo' on those areas, then subsequently decided to 'shrink' Ibos? The fact remains that within a short time, they had better understanding the territories of other Ethnic groups and continuously redrew maps during their expedition. That's why you'd see multiple maps with latter ones being more detailed than the earlier. Did the British come along with the Kalabaris, the Okirikas, the Ijaws, Itshekiris, Urhobos, Efiks, etc to take over 'Ibo' land? Who transacted with the Portuguese and Jews centuries before the arrival of the British to the coastal areas? Having a preference for an earlier British map to latter ones does not change facts, history nor the heritage of indigenous people in those areas. chopnaira:They know that. A few are just playing ignorant. And think history can be changed online or by telling lies to one another. Wahabfuture:As predictable, vituperations with no substance. You go to Opobo and Bonny and announce to them they are Biafrans and find out! |
At this point, the F.C.T commissioner of Police needs to be questioned. What's this senselessness of using the police as a tool for intimidation? Information reveals he was arrested by a certain fraudster he called out. That one proceeded to use the FCT police to intimidate him. We're not in a banana republic. Update: He has been released. |
JagabanB:That is even impossible as many Igbos within the 5 States won't even support such. It is more of a socio-cultural problem which needs to be sorted out from within, definitely not by the activities of the likes of Kanu, Ekpa and ipo.bs who aim to feed off the ignorance of the uninformed few. Voyagerr:This is actually a fact. It's only a matter of time. The saying: a particular tribe will never lead the Country is rather disingenuous and unattainable. |
Masterminds of the 1966 coup: Emmanuel Ifeajuna, Timothy Onwuatuegwu, Chris Anuforo, Don Okafor, Humphrey Chukwuka, and Adewale Ademoyega These guys were Majors (in rank) in the Nigerian Army at the time. They invariably had to involve senior officer(s) - Kaduna Nzeogwu, who was Lieutenant Colonel. On realisation that the coup had failed, Ifeajuna escaped into Ghana dressed as a woman and only returned to fight with the Biafran army (before ultimately, his principal also followed suit), while Nzeogwu Kaduna was apprehended. This is just to clear the erroneous assumption that Lt Colonel Kaduna Nzeogwu was the mastermind behind the coup. Major Adewale Ademoyega who was one of the masterminds was not Igbo, so calling it an Igbo coup based on participants was very unlikely. Besides many lower-ranking personnel across the Country partook in the operations aspect of the coup. It appears there was some level of sabotage of the coup itself by partakers as leaders in other regions were eliminated while those of Igbo stock seemed to have been led to escape or were coincidentally nowhere to be seen. That is where the perception of an 'Igbo coup' began to grow. Also, with sequence of events after the coup - political and social, this perception grew stronger. |
David always acknowledges his Mom. One of his attires during his wedding was a Benin traditional attire. |
These ones are criminals nah! panpan:Exactly! |
Slytiger: The petition letter which was obtained by SaharaReporters reads: “This office is investigating an alleged case of Criminal Intimidation, Threat to Life, Cyber Stalking, Cyber Bullying, Conduct Likely to Cause the Breach of Peace in which your name featured prominently. The question is: Why is he being detained for a civil case? Without any court hearing? This justice system here is terribly ineffective. |
Imagine court officials demanding bribe before perfecting bail granted to the accused! These are cursed people in our society! |
OP, thanks for the reminder! The 14 days never reach? |
Jayhome24:Seems you guys are underestimating how low some of these 'politicians' can go in order to ensure they remain in office for life. The senator is not passionate about any Anioma State! He just wants to capitalise on the fantasy and nzogbu-nzogbu nature of ip.obs and sympathisers with the (im)possibility of stealing Delta North as they are desirous of expanding fantasy biafra. With the increasing migration rate into cities such as Asaba due to the restiveness created by ip.ob in the Southeast, enticing them with such fantasy would have these people voting for him every election cycle in order to push such agenda on their behalf. That's why you see many of them quickly abandoned and condemned the creation of Orlu State with speed. Of course, such cannot be discussed with indigenous people of Delta North. |
naptu2:😂 After editing rubbish there, they use it as a run-to source for confabulations. |
sharone21:💯 Any representative who attempts such selfish-driven misadventure should be regarded as a saboteur and recalled. Different indigenous people of Delta North have come out and rejected such madness aimed at eroding their identity, heritage and culture. Agbor youth also issued a statement: www.nairaland.com/8136497/agbor-youth-remove-self-ned Other groups: https://www.nairaland.com/8137578/no-anioma-inclusion-southeast-onu |
DMerciful:Guy, this is a ridiculous lie! I know a number of people who relocated from Onitsha, etc to Delta and were shocked to find out such talk is unfounded propaganda! They actually expected towns such as Asaba to be 'Igbo towns', but understood the truth on ground. And I'm sure this class of level-headed, successful Igbos are Not the ones feeding you these lies. We've not talked of Central and South of Delta yet! Many of you just come online to mislead the gullible few. |
His grandfather was a migrant from present-day SouthEast |
The ploy may be to let the South have the Presidency for 8 years; 2023 to 2031. But by 2027, they would rally behind a popular candidate for a rotation to the South-East to lead from 2027 to 2031. Then North (probably North-East/North Central) from 2031 to 2035/2039. This tussle may be one of the core reasons for the Southern governors meeting taking place. Heading to the next elections (2027), if coordinated properly by their key players, the SouthEast seems to be the wildcard. Except this government expedites the process of instituting or introducing some sort of regional governance, these set of politicians in the North may likely execute plots similar to those against GEJ, but this time, not with BAT. |
Eweduses:Meanwhile, from the report: Sonia Chinonso Ezumezu and Risikatu Tijani were arrested during the intelligence-led operation on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 after the big black snake guarding the shrine was demobilised.” |
richie240: ![]() That's the politics at play here. Join to push for release of this guy, then demand for release of incarcerated top bandits and terrorists for equity and justice. If not, there's an agenda against the North. What happened to GEJ would be replayed. |
It may be called 'Towel' or 'Saki', but it's actually the Stomach of the cow. For the medically-inclined, Gastrium. |
If I can deduce something from some ipo.b sympathizers here: ipo.b declared 'sit-at-home' and DSS is helping them enforce it ![]() Kaaiiii!!!! Omo! |
The names on pics 1 and 2 are wrong (interchanged). Secondly, the APC camp seems to be gathering strange bedfellows bound by one common factor - self-centered interests. |
Zooposki:There was nothing such as Anioma at that time. Following waves of migration and settlements from the East, especially with the establishment of the first corporate entity - the Royal Niger Company (later UAC) in where present day Delta is, a lot of Igbos further settled there. The name Anioma was given to the area in the 1930s. |
IjawUnited:Map drawn by white strangers is what 'Ibo' wants to use to claim territory? I hope you can see from the map that 'your territory' extends to present-day Taraba with the Jukuns as Ibos. Funny people. IjawUnited:Oh! So you could see the names of other Ethnic Groups East of the Niger! So what shrinkage of Ibo are you yapping about? Besides, only dense individuals would attempt to claim territories using such map drawn by white strangers who only drew out the map(s) for expedition purpose. You think they drew the map to investigate your identity? |
Considering the level and pace of national development, cost of governance in Nigeria is too high. That's why a lot of people who have nothing to offer see getting into political/ government offices as lucrative venture. Once cost of governance is cut, eg minimum wage + basic benefits, mainly passionate individuals would partake in governance, across the various arms and tiers. Meaningful, well thought-out policies not borne out of sentiments, emotions or self-interest would be formulated, implemented and regularly evaluated for the benefit of the people. No doubt, there will be job losses following the implementation of a new minimum wage, not only in the private sector, but at the State and even Federal levels. While cost of products and services will invariably rise further. I hope they are aware of the social effects of these changes. |
It's a coastal highway; has nothing to do with the State Capitals or major cities. It would traverse coastal towns and hopefully attract investments and development to these towns over time. |
