lol you wanted biafra now you want to tell us how power has to be distributed? the ijaw are your cousins, enjoy gej he is your own as you say, 2015 goes to the north, please we want peace

Torch1:
injustice? Are you kidding me? And what do you have to say about an Igbo man not being the president since 1970, is it justice? My wish is for us to break, must we live 2geda even when Northerners are killing Southerners in the North. I know we are 2geda becos of this so-called oil in N/Delta region, what happened to Groundnut pyramids in the North, Cocoa in S.West and Coal in the East? We just need Sovereign National Conference. You need power so dat u guys can introduce Sharia law especially in Middle Belt.

manny4life:
You don't want a war? Who is starting the war, you?  shocked shocked shocked

What Nigeria needs is a competent and visionary leader like most have said on here; personally I don't think such a leader will come from the North. Besides, Nigeria doesn't have to work; Nigeria can always BREAK UP PEACEFULLY.
PoliticsRe: Should Power Return To The North In 2015? by namfav(m): 7:15pm On Nov 04, 2011
you guys can vote anyone but if pdp wins they have to give us a president from the north, that is how the system works, it will be injustice if a northerner does not come out of pdp in 2015

EducationRe: The Most Educated Tribe In Nigeria by namfav(m): 6:59pm On Oct 24, 2011
i agree that we are the most civilised entity in nigeria, the north has the oldest library of books in the whole nigeria, nana asma'u has written more books than any woman in nigeria history

aurenflani:
Hausas (northers generally) are more civilised as an entity. western education is practically worshipped by southerners. but to apply ethically what is taught i give it to the hausas. the yoruba are mostly foolish but they are generally descent. the igbos are animals on the one hand and vulgar on the other hand.

RomanceRe: Why Do Nigerian Women Prefer To Date Mostly Nigerian Or Black Men by namfav(m): 8:36pm On Oct 22, 2011
my whole argument is that nigerian women are not single, let us say like black americans, who tend to be single because their men are after women of different races, nigerian women have the best option because nigerian men are loyal to them, it is a easy option for them because they can also relate to nigerian men, so i dont know what is so bad lol
It seems that you are getting that that Nigerian men date outside of their nationality due to hardships as well. If you're speaking in terms of actually dating an outsider within Nigeria [when I say actually dating, I mean not for money but for love], then I will agree you but keep in mind, although there are non-Black people in Nigeria, how many of them are there to actually go around? If you're speaking in terms of living outside of Nigeria and dating non-Black people, then yes I admit it is more people doing so but within those individuals doing it, it tends to be Nigerian men.

RomanceRe: Why Do Nigerian Women Prefer To Date Mostly Nigerian Or Black Men by namfav(m): 8:18pm On Oct 22, 2011
nigerian men are loyal, that is why you see few single nigerian women and few nigerian women who are with outsiders, the tiny few who are with outsiders are either outside of nigeria or they are doing so because they have some economic hardship

sorry, but you are wrong there
Ok, I see what you're saying. Yes, I agree that we're not running out of good men. Most Nigerian women tend to seek companionship in Nigerian men but the same can't necessarily be said about Nigerian men.
RomanceRe: Why Do Nigerian Women Prefer To Date Mostly Nigerian Or Black Men by namfav(m): 7:33pm On Oct 22, 2011
you know what i mean is that in most nigerian people, it is not in us to seek other 'option', i hear that from black americans but not nigerian thing, it is not like nigeria is running out of good men for nigerian women
Say what? What is it that you're saying that Nigerian men say? And how is Nigerian women wanting seek love outside of her nationality "too westernized"? Would it not seen as "too westernize" if a Nigerian man seeks to same options?
RomanceRe: Why Do Nigerian Women Prefer To Date Mostly Nigerian Or Black Men by namfav(m): 6:56pm On Oct 22, 2011
the nigerian men say that because they dont want nigerian women to stray, that is like warning nigerian women to stay loyal or else they will be single forever, we know it is a lie, but nigerian men do that because they choose nigerian women over any other women, if you compare to most countries in africa, nigerian men are the most loyal, but maybe nigerian women are becoming too westernized and talking about options, but you know the default is nigerian women for nigerian men
namfav, what you quoted was part of an entire sentence. I didn't at any point in time say that no one likes black women. You misconstrued what I said. What I said was "Almost everyone on this thread talks and praises these men like the are demigods or that the world as a whole has some insatiable appetite for Nigerian men but somehow, just somehow, no one likes black women or finds them to be desirable in the least sense.", the keyword in that sentence is 'LIKE' which is a clear indication to a comparison. I used it as a manner of having similar qualities or characteristics to another what I was comparing/discussing. With the way I complain about the treatment of women in the world, Africa, and on Nairaland, why on Earth would such words come from me? And yes, while I will agree that most Nigerian men are with Nigerian women, that still doesn't change the fact that in many situations men do throw women under the bus--the same can be said about women as well. I made that comment not specifically in reference to this subject/topic, but as a means of describing the treatment of Black African women. All in all, you picked part the quote as though it were separate sentences when in actuality, it was one sentence with compared and explained two different things.

RomanceRe: Why Do Nigerian Women Prefer To Date Mostly Nigerian Or Black Men by namfav(m): 5:36pm On Oct 22, 2011
this one is wrong

'I see men always doing the same thing when it comes to women--throwing them under the bus' - most nigerian men are with nigerian women

'no one likes black women or finds them to be desirable in the least sense' - that is false, because if it were true then nigerian men would not be with nigerian women

namfav, what did I say that you thought was incorrect? Could you please elaborate on your comment?

i hope you dont believe that is true, you know men are not like women, when women talk about other men other then their own they are seen as s!uts with low self esteem in fact women are easier used than men as objects, that is why if you are a women you just have to stand on your own ground, not read much into this or argue with this people who say that
Ummm, are we not having a discussion here? Besides, on this forum, time and time again I see men always doing the same thing when it comes to women--throwing them under the bus!!! All I did was point out the same ting he was saying Nigerian women do, so how is that me boing "emotional"? Almost everyone on this thread talks and praises these men like the are demigods or that the world as a whole has some insatiable appetite for Nigerian men but somehow, just somehow, no one likes black women or finds them to be desirable in the least sense.

why are you so emotional?
Same reason why you Nigerian men settle for the washed up equivalent to those white men. Instead of making assumptions, did you ever stop to think that these women might actually be in love with these men? Why should their age change anything? Not all old white men are out lookin' for a "young thang"--some are actually in search of love and some of those women may actually like older men. You really don't know. Like publisher pointed out, if a Nigerian guy walks the streets of any Nigerian city hand in hand with his white oyinbo wife, people are most likely going to hail him, and give him respect--when you switch roles, then all of a sudden the woman is out to get something from the guy? All of a sudden, she's a LovePeddler and a  prostitutë? Its almost as though you all have absentmindedly disregarded that and replaced it with sexist notions. Essencially, it all boils down to the sex of the person dating the white person. Perhaps if you'd stop jumping to conclusions, you might actually learn something. Where do you live by the way?
