jmaine: Was he pressurized to say this due to fear of the Boko Haram elements . . . . The Sultan should speak up if he has names of the real perpetrators . . . maybe the perpetrators have his support he don't owe anyone a explanation, like every nigerian he has the right to speak his mind without asked questions, he is not your leader |

The Middle East/North Africa are one of the hottest places on earth with death valley in California and are occupied by fair skinned people
Iran, Libya, Ethiopia, Phoenix and California are some of the hottest places on earth populated by fair skinned people really? please keep us out of your complex if you are going to bring up colonial nonsense like that |

why when a controversial comment is taken out of context people start to talk about divide, come on, after all it is CAN that started its unfounded attack on muslim interests |

kasiem: ^^ d day u'll nurse the idea of fighting an igboman, first, go and buy a coffin to reduce the cost of your burial. Abiola ignorantly challenged nzeribe, at the end we all know where everything ended. So, dont let nairaland enter your head. your warrior is in vegetative state, you should be holding a vigil not making threats on nl |
Politics › Re: Muslims Ready To Go To War Over Islamic Banking by namfav(m): 2:35pm On Jul 27, 2011 |
Bliss4Lyfe: Islamic banking is not a bad idea, as long as we can attract some of dat Arab oil money into Nigeria via Islamic banking. Islam is a way of life and not going anywhere. We welcome Islam but not violence and more violence. Reject radicalism. thank you, the future is bright indeed |
Politics › Re: What Nigeria Needs? Dr Ngozi Okonjo Iweala by namfav(m): 11:28am On Jul 27, 2011 |
Bliss4Lyfe: Ok, When? If we are waiting for Nigeria to be ready, without testing or grooming Nigeria with potential candidates then Nigeria will never be ready. Ngozi Okonjo Iweala seems to be ready and the best Presidential candidate of all potential candidates so far. I mean dis woman will deliver bouncing baby boyz and girlz for Nigeria, so wat is the problem. i predict in no more than 50 years we will probably be ready for one, there alot of nigerian women (young) who are showing qualities to lead our nation one day, miss iweala is not do or die because in future we will have better and new school candidates haha |

did CAN help to ease the situation? who starting talking about jaiz bank not helping nigeria? seriously some people expected the supreme council to cosign with CAN or remain silent, what is true is that jaiz bank will not go away, it is here today, it was here over 5 years ago, nothing that anyone can do about it, it seems it is CAN who do not want the peace |

Politics › Re: Boko Haram: Rival Group Drops Threat Leaflets In 10 Northern States by namfav(m): 9:21am On Jul 25, 2011 |
udezue: The truth that we don't know is that Northern christians are not as small as we think. There is frustration and sense of self-determination and identity spreading across the region hence ppl will start seeing the true make up of the North. The ppl who also practice traditional religion are just as eager as the christians to assert their dominance and presence against northern fanatical muslims who have for centuries over-shadowed and oppressed them.
@ Namfav, when pushed against the wall u will push back. Numbers mean nothing. A nation of 1 million ppl can defeat a nation 100 million if they have the right weapons and training plus determination. Hausa-Fulani do not have a monopoly on violence. If northern feel its time to meet them with equal or more then so be it. Sooner or later it will happen. do you think that if the christians in the north declare war against muslims they will win? our population is not only big in northern nigeria, it is also big outside nigeria, fighting by christians in the north against muslims should not be a option and it is not case of monopoly because most of us we have no issue with christians, the ripple effect will be felt througouht the region and christians will be the ones who will suffer most casualties, so it is reckless to think about it |
Politics › Re: Boko Haram: Rival Group Drops Threat Leaflets In 10 Northern States by namfav(m): 8:21am On Jul 25, 2011 |
emmke: out numbered or not we shall fight. U guys dont have the monopoly of violence. Thats what the hausas in jos thought. Guess what? We taught them a lesson. We northern christians have had enough of it. A typical northern christian is no longer scared of u hausas. umm ok, goodluck to you |
^^^ Like I said, let them fight for themselves. They feel they'd eventually die anyways. Muslims should not be allowed to monopolize violence.
Two religious extremist against each other is not good. But better that than to have one group become a menace, killing innocent people without remorse.
ok ileke |
So you think it's better if they sit back and get killed? It's better to die knowing that you fight, than to die helpless.
People are simply fighting for their life.
do we want to see it both ways? it is not christians in the south protecting themselves, it is christians in the north, they are outnumbered do you believe they can be efffective or will they just make things worse? |
Politics › Re: Boko Haram: Rival Group Drops Threat Leaflets In 10 Northern States by namfav(m): 7:48am On Jul 25, 2011 |
udezue: The northern Christians have been pushed too hard against the wall so I can't condemn their new approach. Every group has the right to defend itself against threats hence you can't tell them what to do. If they have tried dialogue and got nothing then let them an eye for an eye tactic. Israeli Jews, Americans don't sit back when threatened so why should northern christians be forced to fold arms while muslims blow them to shred? the christians in the north are outnumbered, it is a mismatch there will be massive reprisal attacks if it happens, anyone who thinks of it in the name of defending christians in the north does not know the numbers and simply cares nothing about the christians in the north, if that is not what you condemn then you have to accept alot of refugees coming your way |

Politics › Re: The Northern Counter-coup Of 1966: The Full Story Without Bias! by namfav(m): 6:47pm On Jul 24, 2011 |
the south east has never produced leaders of stature of balewa and bello, killing 2 of our most influential leaders at the time was never going to go ignored, celebrating there deaths as a victory was never going to keep anyone safe, emotions were high and alot of people in turn thought that if if it was not them that were going to be killed then everyone had to defend his own, i am not defending any actions but to survive people do anything, just as ojuwku thought that for the ibo race to survive was to have biafra, there are actions that cannot be defending like targeting our leaders and disrespecting them even in death but no one can go through the heads of anyone trying to survive and thinking he is in danger, people do anything to survive and the targetted assisinations of the powerful and most influential in the north was just a final stop for the events in 1966 |
