Hi, I'll answer just one question. If your visa is still valid when you will travel you don't have to renew. You will be stamped in for 6 months. youngette: Hello house and thank you for all the detailed accounts given, its taken days to go through all the threads but the time spent doing so was worth it!
On to my peculiar situation: Currently a FTM planning to birth in the US and still have a valid B1/B2 visa that was issued while I was working outside Nigeria. I am back in Nigeria now by the way. LO is due early may but visa expires end of may. Can any one advise on the best option for visa application, if to apply with DH (his first time, I have been to the US before) and if to buy a return ticket beyond visa validity?
So please pardon me and my many questions 1.To have LO, do I...: a. Apply for dropbox - same B1/B2 - and declare medical tourism reason at POE? (risking this Trump immigration change atmosphere influencing a possible denial) b. Apply for B2 and pray all goes well at interview c. Go to US on current visa and declare at POE that it's for birthing reasons - not sure if they will stamp me in beyond the visa validity - then apply for an extension while still in the US d. Please advise!
2. When would be a good time to apply since I still have more than 6 months left on the current visa? The next interview date is in March and I am not sure if it will be dropbox or interview so trying to play safe.
3. Do I mention that DH will be accompanying me or not? He actually will not come until much later.
4. Is it possible to apply for a visa renewal from within the US?
Any first hand experience with this type of situation would be a huge help.
Thank you my fellow nairalanders! |

bissiejoe: Good day house,
Please does the question 'have you been denied visa before?' applies to an applicant who was first denied a visa at the first attempt and later got the visa at the second attempt (2016). This applicant is about to the renew visa, and hence need to be well informed on what to answer. Thanks for your responses The applicant will continue to make reference to the visa application that was denied. |

[quote author=Yettyolaseni post=71823121]Hi madam...sorry about all d stress...i used HNWMC for last baby and also renew my family visa for tourism. Also have a friend that just renew her visa last month and used HNWMC . And have seen someone that was denied for 2nd mission after using Oakbend for first mission and also plan to use same hospital for second mission.. Dr Xydas fee is not cheap . It is almost same price with oakbend and west houston hospital. Only the hospital is cheap. VO Always look for excuse to deny visa especially for childbirth and we all know God's favour is what we need to achieve a purpose and our handwork( filling, documentation and interview) Warning: We should be careful of what we post before interview. I think we can post after passing thru POE and return back home . Is better to PM ur question.
Did you do Dropbox, or you had an interview,. Did your friend do Dropbox or interview as well |

BCCH: Hi All,
I have followed and gained a lot from this thread also. We had our baby in 2016 and of course paid all our bills. Trying to renew via drop box now, we got the feedback to schedule interview. My concern mainly is what does this Itemized bill look like? If any body knows could you share a sample pls. Below are what we have
Letter from Hospital stating balance in zero Also Zero Balance letter for different accounts - Like 5 of this Also some itemized services and there cost - Like 5 of this as well(Is this the so called itemized bill?)
The consular specifically requested for us to bring: Itemized hospital bills & receipt for payment. - What's the difference between these two?
Thanks for your anticipated feedbacks.
Rgds Hi. Good evening. Please did your bill tally with what you paid and was there any discount given on the bill |

Hello house. Please I would like to understand fully how itemized bill is supposed to look like. I thought it would be what the hospital sends to you before birth for an uncomplicated delivery. Like hospital bill, pediatrician bill, anesthesia, Dr bill (if the hospital has that inclusive) would it contain my name in the intemize bill. Please anyone with what is looks like and contains kindly assist. |

Layoco: Finally met my LO. I travelled from Lagos via Turkish airline on August 3rd, my POE was JFK amd hassle free. The CBP was just smiling with me, in my mind, i was like this one want to toast pregnant woman. He only asked me how long i will be staying, i told him 10 weeks. I connected American Airline to Houston. My host was kind enough to pick me from the airport. I got her contact from someone on this thread. My baby girl was delivered by Dr X at HNWMC last week Thursday. The pain no be here ooo. I'm on documents parole now, I can't wait to return home. Thanks to everyone that I pm and gave me useful information. God bless you all. Congratulations, did you book the connecting flight over the counter when you arrived JFK or you did the booking from here, did you spend the night somewhere before continuing your journey to Houston or you immediately connected. Based on your experience would you advise to immediately fly to Houston or rest in a place and continue the journey the following day. |

My response was removed maybe misconstrued by admin. I don't have a business with providing accommodation for anyone. What I meant was I can assist with that information where to get as the poster asked. I wanted for the hospital hnwmc and Dr as that was part of one of my enquires. Thank God someone saw it and the person is being helpful. |

lilyemmy: Hello, I believe what you are asking is not allowed here. The name of the Doc's practice or office is NJ Best OB GYN.......based in Clifton NJ. You can google that and call them. Also, you dont have to be so close to the location, I also did some commute to attend appointments, about 35 mins or so. As per the hospital, when you call , they will tell which hosp they use. i believe they have changed hospital from the last time i used them. You can PM me for more info or drop ur email, I will be glad to help. take care. pls I am interested macygirz@hotmail.com thanks |
