I think Seal paints the picture of a bitter sweet love. He thinks his passion is as sweet and beautiful as a rose, yet unhealthy, marked for death, painful as anything of or like the grave. (I don't think I'm using the words I'd have loved to) "a greying tower alone , " spells age and loneliness, giving an image of one "dead to love" like someone posted earlier, and whose emotions have been re-enkindled but won't last long. if his love ia woman, she is young coz he refers to the rose as being "in bloom", and the love itself is young, but his eyes keep hitting "the gloom on the grave". The gloom stemming from a loss that is probably being foreseen or , when I have more time I'l give it more to say something better |
What field's the journal covering? Guess we're chattinig already coz I'm interested |
The issue u just raised has so murdered my appetite that I doubt if I'd eva get myself 2 read the book if I saw it. The only thing I know that should question the importance of kids is money. U don't need all the money of a lifetime to raise kids, but u do need enough 2 give em a decent background that's condusive 4 breeding kids that won't turn out 2 be menace. |
You should have bothered to explain a little bit mo, or must one hit u with a mail to get a better idea of wat u'e talking about? |
Man this thing is mo than just embarrassing Which kind life sef? And na wetin dem do that soccer star - which one again, martin? - the otha time And u can be sure nobody's goin' 2 do shit about it The shame I feel 4 my nationality de Behind up by the day |
Lovely development. Taut, straight to the point and clear as hell. @ Orikinla U know, the way the American society brandishes unfaithfulness, one might begin to wonder if there's anything awfully wrong about it. And of course, the social lives of majority of Nigerians is daily being tuned some more toward the Americans'. I'm glad to know reason and virtue still lie in some heads and around too. |
Song'z kool Video is Storm Records' normal quality - very ok But the beat just sounds a little mal-balanced 2 me. It sounds more like beating drum in water. Unless the original intention is a low audio output, u can't help wanting 2 describe the production quality as abyssmal Bekee But it's true |

Chelsea had always been a great team before ever Mourinho happened 2 it 3 years ago. I became a fan afta Mourinho became coach, primarily because of him. He has proven his greatness by his achievements the past 3 years, and has crowned it by knowing exactly when 2 bow out. Much as I still love Chelsea, I really have my eyes on the blue boys' ex-coach. Whereva he goes will go a long way in determining whose matches I'll be watching more often. 4 the Man U defeat, it could happen 2 anybody going thru what Chelsea goes thru @ the moment. |
I really wish a good musician would do a remix of that song with her - maybe Faze, or Jeremiah Gyang |
Crystal clear Thanx a mill |
Yesterday was crazy in Aba! There were two groups hunting girls in jean trousers: Task Force and Police The police were arresting en masse. Bail, I heard, was up to N6,000 - u know Naija police The task force was the drama. They served jungle, on-the-spot injustice by cutting off the trousers with scissors, highlighting the girls' bikinis and G-strings - it was not funny! Of course some of the females are married ladies - they did not care I heard it ws about the same thing in Port Harcourt. Federal injunction, they say. My question is, how does this improve the economy or arrest crime? |
I never intended 2 dismiss ur "sleep paralysis" My intention is that u do not dismiss the mystery people associate it with on the basis of "superstition" simply because it does not fit into the confinement of ur "sleep paralysis" completely. Certain things happen that cannot wholly be classified as natural/physical/scientific phenomena It can be induced Hypnosis can be induced But does that rule out the possibility of something mysterious being responsible 4 some cases of hyphonsis? Unless u're of the opinion that there is no such thing as supernatural then I'll understand you better. |
He's just too tight His worx speak 4 him Why I feel him a lot is coz u dont hear that he is blind b/4 u notice him. U 1st hear his beat, drop dead, then ask around b/4 u're shown the blind cat |
@ Blackmamba, I use 2 think it was stupidity u were cursed with then I had a re-think considered naivety had anotha rethink "he probably has so much of the western civilization that he's trapped in the middle - lost to his roots and the white man's", I thot But then I know say na lie. your village is probably the richest in black magic. You guys are probably darker than the dark ages, yet u pretend u know nothing of the roots. It's either that or u're from an exceptionally asinine tribe What bovine stupidity to echo your ignorance! You no well and u no go eva fit well again |
I really hope someone else will drop a line here to help |
Yea he's good. I like the "Onyinye" track. I hope to work with his type when I get on the scene coz I see he's musically literate |
Has anybody wondered how wise the reasons for the suspension of the re-denomination are? One reason, I heard, was that the presidency thinks it an unnecessarily expensive and wasteful venture. Whoa! Sounds technical, I guess I can't see that part from outside the circle. Another was that Soludo jumped protocols. He failed to follow due process- that's what they said. Man, how can a CBN governor who did not get into the office yesterday, and who has implemented other schemes in the past (the institution of the new notes and coins, 4 instance) suddenly go preposterous, forgetting absolutely how to go about a new scheme like this one? Well, I guess it's human nature, right? We all make mistakes sometimes. Okay, assuming they're right and Soludo did make such a grievous mistake 4 real, don't u think he should have gotten more than a mere suspension of his scheme? Perhaps some penalty, you know, no matter how mild. If their strongest reason is his failure to follow due process, then the scheme may be continued with in the future, right? Let's watch. |
There was this interesting analysis I read on Daily Independent the other time - sorry I can't start searching to cite it right now. In it, one Emmanuel Okoye said that what several people have failed to realise is that CBN's prerogative is fiscal policy. They can only effect changes in the value of the Naira, not in the price of things or in the minimum wage of the average Nigerian; that part is the government's prerogative. So if N1,000 turns N10 in value and it's still not within reach for the common man, all eyes should be on the government, not CBN. Again, it does not make the improved value of the money useless. I mean check it out - improved value, what can be negative in a positive adjective? |
nferyn:Sorry but your "scientific explanation" - according to your previous post especially - only tells us how it 'normally' happens, cites a few examples of those it happened to, advises one to move a finger/the eye or wateva; it fails completely to tell us why it happens - u get my point now? It also fails to note that people are different and that one person's research could be jibberish as far as a different person's encounter is involved. U got that? |
@ SwtNsoFLyy I appreciate ur contribution. On a second thought, could u tell me about ur weapon training? Even if just a little. @ this dark point, every bit of info is deemed divine. |
No hard feelings on my last entry |
For those that feel Soludo didn't explain his opinion well enough, you may want to check your understanding and not the explanation coz it's crystal to a whole lot of well meaning, enlightened Nigerians like you - I really hope the attributes are not burdensome to you. |
I think it's awful that people should see the redenomination thing as minatory 2 development when it's actually the opposite. Soludo could not have woken up one morning, scratched his butt and come up with it, it must had been clearly thought out and planned but I guess we may never know how it could go, no thanks to the president and all other rather conservative minds. From the much that was said about it, I think the process would have been smooth in the 1st place, safe, sweet and apt in the race to save the Naira and Nigeria in general. The fact that the N20 was to be the highest denomination could possible have meant that higher denominations would later be introduced in due course and with far better values then. But again, we may never get to know, ever. I personally feel that those in support of extremely upholding the upper class syndrome stand to gain the most from the suspension of this scheme. |
There musta been a new one either by birth, marriage, adoption. Just welcome them and widh them well. Mustn't be yours gon, could be ur uncle's / auntie's new one - family is family Please, if they just moved in with u without any legal knot, then I'm not talking 2 u. |
abelix:He wud have been very useful 2 my quest, only I'm sure it must be too traumatic 2 try even if I knew how 2 get him. If I shud ask a military guy or anybody in the force, they're likely 2 lecuture me about some field/ training/ shooting @ a target. No that's not wat I need. I need some1 who didn't do it the good/ lawful way with no consequences. 4 instance, I know of a young man who had a pomp buthad neva fired all his life till one night when thieves assailed his compound. He had his younger brothers make a lot of noise 4 him so it wud seem as tho there were many guys in the house, then he fired twice. He got so scared he ran and hid afta firing, but the thieves had run too - they weren't hardened armed robbers sha. So u get my drift? I need 2 know how accidental first-timers like that felt, that's all. |
If the song was actually written by OJB like some1 laims, then it's possible it was stolen. OJB doesn't know 2 much about the word original, u know. He's a damn good producer, no doubt. But he could wake up 2day and Yclef will appeal 2 him so much he'd immitate that. Then 2morrow, he's Kells - sorry, tryina be |
It's not enuff that u think u know wat it is: "sleep paralysis" and that it's natural. Wat causes it? - that's the question u didn't answer. It's not about giving instances of who has had b/4. @ BlackMamba Guy, even the westerners know about these things. The fact that they don't fret over it like we do abround here does not mean they don't know such stuff exists. Once upon a time, they were as superstitious as we are now, or even much more. 2day, majority of them are not, but these things are real - even in their land - regardless of who believes in them and who doesn't. |
@ Aroro U 4got 2 describe how it felt And goin' by ur name, let me guess - the jungle was an iceland, right? @ BlackMamba U how far now? Man, u guyz shud say something. |
