@ ladebi nice one thanks for the advise 2 our elders. they have forgotten that wisdom comes with age and also no matter what a youth cannot acquire the no of rags the old man has.
@ orikinla finally understood the meaning of your name. hey no trumpet blowing its called creating awareness. but please i think we all should be matured and not join issues with another person no matter who started it. especially online. next time please send a private link to her box with your curriculum vitae. that is your blogs and all that , remember seeing is believing.
@ smc tut tu, i don't kno what 2 say 2 a self confessed rueben abati classmate, aw come we hearin of your classmate and not u. but please don't fight online its not good etiquette, we the young look up to u.
O Ma Gad! U are so hot! U hit the nail on th head.
4 1 moment, I thot it was not the same "Orikinla" (or something ) that I used 2 read his posts here - arguing defensively like a wounded lion.

Y'know what? I think SMC brought the freak out of our man. He sure has the freak 2 make a freak freak out - or so I think.
But seriously, I'd appreciate it if the "old men" cut down on strutting their weaknesses - that's putting it mildly.

Ah, Corper Suzanne! Which state u dey? Dont tell me it's Zamfara please. Tho I know it's no longer as notorious as it was.

"Writer's block" - ok
"not that good a writer" - that's for your reader's to discern. Have you ever had any serious work of yours criticised? I mean criticism in the literary sense.
If not, then why are u afraidof trying?
I wud suggest u take ur mind off trying to write a work that is comparable to a certain standard u feel is high enough 4 a reader ur class to respect.
Wat I would suggest u try to do is write something u FEEL and the way it's real to u. Shikena.
Personally, I'm trying that.

Ehe, wat course did u study and where?

Wateva happened to those guyz: Product G&B, Jimmy Cozier and City High?

Could it be mere coincidence that all of them were produced by Wyclef Jean and made known hits that were never followed up?

And they are all really good.

Hey, how can u talk like this? U're not the 1st female who wants to study engineering, and u're definitely not going to be the last.
So dont discourage urself or try to find tired excuses for the malevolence of ur oppressors - in this case, the system.

If u must blame someone, u could start by checking your academic competence.

My kid sister has a similar problem, but i dont think it's over yet, at least not b/4 it's over. So u just hang in there and believe in ur best effort

Poems For ReviewRe: Can You Put In The Next Line To Rhyme? by nanaboi(m): 4:12pm On Sep 22, 2006
I could swear I had a rhyme here someday
Where is it now?
Anyway,

Our land is a LovePeddler
steady switching beds.

"What she needs" they conjecture,
"is a good head"

But she needs much more -
good heads to bear the head.

She had one once, yet she got him sore
He lasted 7 months and he was no more

If she were to have just one more
she only but looks back in looking forward

So from today onward
Let her stare reality in her callous face:

She cannot afford a good head
For a good head sits on heads

She has no heads to bear up a good head.

Ander, , what's ur educational status? Have you ever encountered the subject called English Language? How about the Pidgin English? At least that's what is easily understood by many of us.
LiteratureRe: I'm Writing A Musical Movie by nanaboi(op): 1:18pm On Aug 28, 2006
The tempo of the songs varry in accordance to their relation to the plot. They xpress the various moods inherent in the movie. So sometimes, u hear jamz; at other times, slowz. But in all, they rock your body - the African way. Or better still, the Nigerian way.

About the "willing hands", I mean a team that can help me deal with production and marketing;they'll also help me site suitable locations and conduct auditions. They have to be experienced in the movie business, or at least have good concepts to contribute. The story is being wrapped up  - by me.

Nigeria is the place. Setting will include a university campus.

Hello? Maybe u shud read the title again. I said a musical movie. And last time I checked, Nigerians wud die to see a movie like "the Fighting Temptations". And with most of the music done in both English, Nigerian Pidgin English and a variety of Nigerian languages - u're defining tight already.
Get this picture: It's not a classical music thing. It's just a movie with lots of singing in it. How clear am I this time?
LiteratureRe: I'm Writing A Musical Movie by nanaboi(op): 2:53pm On Aug 25, 2006
Musical like good music - wateva u think is good music. Seen "the Fighting Temptations"? I think that's good music. Or "Sister Act" (Part 2 in particular). I think those describe wat I mean by good music. But since I enjoyed the priviledge of being introduced first to classical music, there's bound to be a rub off of that too, u know.
Again, since the target audience is Nigeria, the language of the pieces will conform reasonably too - if u know wat I mean. Styl-Plus' style is not a bad idea; Faze's also.
HOW CLEAR AM I NOW? CRYSTAL? grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin

The onli reason why there are no comments on this poem is coz the diction is a little ahead of what most Nigerians would easily access. Feel free to to delete the italicised. I'm Nuel and I enjoyed the poem coz it gave me yet anotha reason to weep for my people. Hope u do get to read this coz I can see my comment is late.
