giga02: I have seen how expectant we all prospective corp members of stream 2 are over the insensitive way NYSC and the government are treating us... We all want a better Nigeria and see our dear country undergo the so called change out government have being shouting since last year. We all know there is no pain without a gain but must this pain also be at the expense of our future Majority of us finished last year and ever since then must of us stay at home and watch our parent go to work and come back and we sit without any tangible thing done with out our life; we find ourself stuck In middle of serving our fatherland by force from the government... On a personal taught, I feel if this government mean well for his country why must we jeopardy our future all in the name of compulsory service to our fatherland and the government feel that it on the right path on repositioning Nigeria... Our can our government feel we are less important that we don't deserve any official statement on what is happening to our dear future. Our service rest on rumors. This is the highest level of insensitivity of any serious government who is ready to change her country. A graduate ? Futa? Nigeria, I hail thee |

HOMOTOYOSI10: Hi people How lucrative is SOCIAL WORK as a career based on government employment, private practice and chances abroad and in Nigeria? Its very lucrative abroad, its hot out there. Here in Nigeria, I doubt if those HR and MD's understand the role of a social worker hence the low patronage. Still searching for a Uni in Aussie that would accept Bsc International Relations for Masters in Social Work. |

Education › Re: Please Help, She Is Been Delayed Unnecessarily... by nanaman(m): 10:55am On Apr 29, 2016 |
lizaloizaa: Hello nairalanders, I need your advice on this please. My sister graduated last year from an institution in Owerri, meanwhile all through her school days as it is the norm, she has been making all payments through a bank. In the process of doing her clearance she was told by the school authorities that one of the payments she made in 2013 was not reflected in the schools manifest, luckily, she still have all the evidence of payments of which she tendered to the bank in question for rectification. Frustratingly, since November 2015 till date it has been promise of "we are working on it" that they keep making. Meanwhile, she has even complained to the head office of the bank in Lagos all to no avail, their response has always been "we will get back to you soon" She is indeed frustrated, as she has missed a batch of NYSC posting and several other opportunities. What do you think should be the next line of action to ensure speedy resolution? Maybe somebody somewhere is not ready to do what is expected by proper verification or there is fraud somewhere. If the money is what she can afford,I think she should just pay,get what she wants and forget about it. |

Tbells91: Guess you're a product of a private university.. You sound pained! Pained? Why should I? Am proud of my citadel of learning. My dear, education is not cheap anywhere in the world. It is only Nigeria we clamour for free education which actually exist on paper and not in reality hence the quality of graduates chunned out yearly be it private or public Uni. |
Education › Re: See What A 300level Student Of OAU Wrote by nanaman(m): 12:40pm On Apr 27, 2016 |
emekakelvin: really!! I do know he is a student of oau, (although, this claim has not been verified) but the fact that he made blunders in his sentence construction does not necessary warrant the creation of this thread.
With fact and available info, he attributed the error in his post to health issues. Not everybody can think to a reasonable extent when s/he is down with one sickness or the another.
For emphasis sake, what do you want from the creation of this thread. If he can't think "reasonably" that means,he was thinking irrationally when he typed that gibberish he posted. I think he should take care of his health issues before thinking, talking or typing because he cannot substantiate what he wrote. |
