President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed a visually impaired man, Dr. Samuel Inalegwu Ode Ankeli as his senior special assistant on persons living with disability.

Buhari’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu‎, said in a statement that Ankeli headed the Directorate of Persons With Disability at the Buhari/Osinbajo APC presidential campaign headquarters.

“He led a team that successfully mobilised a large number of the more that 24 million disabled persons in the country to support the APC candidate and his running mate in the 2015 presidential election campaign.

“Dr Ankeli is from Benue State. He went to school in Giwa, near Zaria and Kaduna before reading Veterinary Medicine at the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.

He worked with the Benue State government before quitting to give time to his activist role in the promotion of the wellbeing of the blind and people with all kinds of disability. He leads a very active religious and sporting life.”

Education in Osun State is in shambles and turning to something else.

Recently,a radio station in the State was attacked my secondary school students and none of them was apprehended since they all wear the same uniform. Where is that done in the world.? School uniform is used to differentiate schools and sometimes classes.

Now,he just came up with the idea of renaming institutions in the State. Why should a governor wake up one morning and decide to change names of the state institution. Its is not wrong but why rename diiferent campuses different names. ?

He renamed all Osun State University campuses like Oshogbo campus was named..Bola Ige University, Ifetedo campus to Kayode Esho College of Law, Okuku Campus to Olagunsoye Oyinlola, Ejigbo campus to Isiaka Adeleke and Ikire campus to Eniola Atanda College of Humanities and Culture. Why name institutions after those who are living? How would Jamb and organisations see this? Why creating problem in the education sector. ?

Loads of questions need to be asked on why making all these unfavourable policies.

Can the elders in Osun State please call the governor to order before he creates more havoc to the education sector in Osun State.?

To be sincere,you are the hypocrite here. You don't solve issues by adding more problems to it. Every problem started with different reasons and must have different solution. In 1998, Yorubas and Hausas had clash in Sagamu in Ogun State where they burnt shops and hundreds of people from both tribes died. Today,you will still see Hausas doing business in that area without issues.

Is it only Igbos that are been marginalised or embroild in conflict in any part of the country? Stop the hatred,go back to your elders, go back to the drawing board,start mending fences and come out stronger in the next election that every other region will support then,you retaliate what other administration did to your region maybe that will stop the hatred.

I got an offer from ECU to study for M.Eng, and I need to be enlightened on some issues
1. If I opt to pay my tuition via western union online , will I be charged at western union rate or parallel market
2. There is a condition of Entry which is that I provide my bachelors degree completion certificate. The institution I attended issues certificate after convocation, which takes place bi-annually. I graduated in 2014, which means I can't get my certificate till later this year after convocation. I have mailed the school about the situation at hand an asked I I could proceed with notification of result from my institution or letter of attestation . Is It possible they give a positive response

Last week, a faculty of agriculture in one of the south south universities was scheduled for accreditation by NUC. the officers came quiet alright but all they did was an improper accessment.

first, they were limited to what the leaders of the faculty told them without proper investigation from the students.

for example, there was never any computer in the media lab of the agric. economics dept except d ones used by d lecturers (PCs). however, by some magic, the lab was full of computers on the day of the accreditation.

d animal farm of the faculty has no large ruminants. bt on d day of accreditation, bovines (cattles) were seen all over the farm.

the lab. in the faculty is one of d venues for lectures. however, on d day of accreditation, students were barred from receiving classes there and in addition, all the equipment and apparatus that has been locked away since the last accreditation were cleaned up and arranged in the lab.

finally, the school maintains a herd of cattle, usually managed by d nomads. no student ever had access to those animals before because it was meant for commerce not academics. however, d faculty claims that the herd belongs to her

Instead of you to just follow your route,na aproko you dey do. When you hear sey dat dept's accreditation was cancelled and your friends know you wrote this for the ogas to read,that is when you will know how you got admission thru that Oga. U bera watch and keep quiet.

No University in this country can boast of all criteria meant for accreditation. They do all sorts and rememeber, its not for them but the students. Ask Lead City law students,they will tell you the outcome of dis-accreditation.

I'm not an atheist, but the over religiosity of majority of Nigerians is ridiculous when compared to the fact that there's nothing to show for it. Your statement doesn't hold in places such as Singapore, United States, Japan, Hong Kong etc where the governments there are ensuring their economy gets better and stronger to produce needed jobs and employment opportunities for their inhabitants. That's how things are done and not spending a whole day in vigil service.

Good you can remember him in Unad. That man,don't joke with him even Prof of Law couldn't look into his eyes. There is nothing you need back then in Unad you will not get through him,so far you have the money. I remember part time students that went for nysc and those who didn't seat for exams and had good grades.
