It was that old cargo called Kate Henshaw started the rubbish anyway. What I don't understand is why people would believe what this linda ikeji and Kate Henshaw spills. What I know and is obvious to us all is that mayowa is genuinely ill and on her sick bed. I found it hard to belive that a person in this condition would think of scamming people. The family are only looking for the best possible way to save or prolong their sister's life. I have seen someone that was giving couple of months to live and is still alive 20 years later. Miracles do happen and I pray God almighty would prove the likes of linda and Kate Henshaw wrong and this lady called mayowa would live long to put all her mockers and naysayer wrong.
Linda ikeji and Kate Henshaw are both disgrace to the human race. That's why both of them blocked me but I have prayed for this girl and I hope this lady live to the glory of God and to the shame of those that have condemned her to death already. I work in the medical field and have seen miraculously cases and I have prayed that this case should be one of such.
God bless you ma'am.

I wonder how myopic most people are. Am not against any donation, but at her stage of cancer it's only God that can save her. Medically I doubt. So the family requesting for 36 million naira and 100000 dollars to fly her abroad for treatment at this level is questionable. And people should try reason before saying rubbish. PROF DORA AKUNYILI suffered same ovarian cancer. Bottom line is routine medical check up once in a while reduces rate of such illness.
Does that mean she should be left to die without doing anything.? Nigerians will always put pressure on GOD when something could still be done medically. Let them try all they can till anything happens.

Imagine, if she gets to UAE or US and the doctor realise something could still be done to salvage her life. Let me ask you, have ever been in pains for 9hrs without any drug to reduce the pains.? You're the only one that can explain things.

Yes,the family might have not envisiaged things might get out hands but my problem is,why did Aunty Linda not get in touch with the family ? Ask questions and if she's still in doubt, she advise them on how to make sure the funds is well managed and used for what it meant for like calling Toyin and co to be in charge(trustee) rather than coming online to tarnish the family's name.

One thing is certain, someone somewhere wants to benefit from the money. Good or bad on the outcome of the sick lady, she would never forgive the person.#get-well-soon-mayowa

FamilyRe: As A Husband What Would You Do If A Man Buys Your Wife A Phone Worth 100k by nanaman(m): 10:37am On Jul 17, 2016
Diplomaticbeing:
Petty people and their parochial, prejudicial and judgmental attitudes! LOL. Well, in a situation like this, first thing to consider is the caliber of people one associates with; I mean to a well-to-do person, to buy 100k phone as a gift to your associate/friend (for those that likes to call any one around them as such) is a no big deal ... especially in a situation whereby the needy has in one way or the other been of immense good toward me or other people I know ... some of us places premium value on people's altruistic virtue than what they can offer materially and sexually. But an ordinary and petty person will believe that it is impossible for a friend to spend such amount on a gift to another person, this subject matter under discussion as a case study.

I, for one, as a proponent and practitioner of the philosophical principle of ethical morality of altruism, such is a no big deal - of course, I only keep around those that merits my trust - so in the event that someone extends such gesture toward my woman, I won't have qualms over it, because I know that I can do same to another person/a female married associate without any ulterior motive.
And with expenses laid down, phone was the wife's priority. Why can't she collect the money to offset bills or did the husband deny her phone outrightly? NO.

I pray in times of need;your wife would not bring a car from a male friend. #Mrcharity

EducationRe: 20 Things You Should Do To Graduate With First Class by nanaman(m): 7:20am On Jun 27, 2016
My advice to first class aspirant(s)

1. Your course should be your hobby

If you're good in calculations, major in courses that has lots of calculations like Accounting,Economics,Statistics,Mathematics etc. If you're good in contemporary issues, love to argue and know about facts, you can delve into Law,International Relations,Political Science etc.

2. Understand your lecturer(s)

Students fail to understand their lecturers hence the reason behind failure. Some lecturers love straight to the point, extra sheet does not entice them neither do they like stories while some, you need to start very well, branch every angle you can remember and conclude properly, some just want good handwriting, good english and neatness and others mark with faces, I mean, those who answer questions and ask questions in class are termed to be brilliant.

3. Move with the right click, don't avoid the wrong click.

The right click is for your studies and better grades, the wrong click is for money, they will give you assignments, write attendance, collect your note to photocopy and explain courses to them before test or exams which you can use in revising, they find all means to get closer to lecturers and give you updates that only few are privy to. They alert you on dangers and keep you abreast ob current issues on campus.Make sure you keep them at arms length. They are easy to brainswash

4.Be smart.

A lecturer once told me, I need smart students not the brilliant ones. They want you to know somethiing about everything that is,have an idea of everything. Don't always be good in your field but be vast in other fields. Be it football, politics,.current issues and other thing you may think of because it shows when you're answering questions. It helps in digressing a little from what you've been taught in class.

5. Know yourself

6. Talk less,listen more.

7. Adhere to all what the OP said.

@will explain the few above later. Off to the exam hall to write my second to the last paper as an undergraduate. Wish me luck..!!!

PoliticsRe: Ekiti Workers Strike: Our Position On A Day Like This, We, The Students Of Ekit by nanaman(m): 5:35pm On May 31, 2016
Purplebirdrep:
EKITI WORKERS STRIKE: OUR POSITION

On a day like this, we, the students of Ekiti State standing under the umbrella of the Federation of Ekiti State Students Union (FESSU) have deemed it necessary to express our solidarity to the State Government and at the same time appeal to the labour leaders to embrace dialogue in resolving the current misunderstanding between labour and the government.

It is our understanding that the present economic crisis in Ekiti State was not created by the present government. Rather, it is a combination of the profligacy of the immediate past government in the State and the federal government lack of solution to the country’s economic problems.

Even though we sympathise with our parents who are the workers that are no longer receiving their salary regularly and we make bold to say that we, the students are also being affected, truth must however be told, and the truth is that Governor Ayodele Fayose cannot be blamed for non-payment of workers salary.

It is on record that Governor Fayose was paying workers salary and deductions regularly until allocation from Abuja reduced to less than N1bn per month. This month, Ekiti got N751 million!

We are also aware that Labour leaders and other stakeholders are part of the committee that allocate the State monthly allocation from Abuja whenever it is received and details of money coming to the State are known to the labour leaders.

Most importantly, in the Southwest, Ekiti is one of the States that owe the least salary – some States have been paying half salary without deductions for close to one year.

To us in FESSU, labour leaders in Ekiti State should rather confront the Federal Government that has crippled the nation’s economy and the immediate past government that plunged the State into debt.

For instance, if the deductions being made monthly from allocation coming to Ekiti State from Abuja as debt repayment are not being made, Ekiti State monthly income will still be close to N2bn even in the face of the economic recession.

Too bad, the labour leaders kept silent when inspite of the Oil Windfall of over N46bn received by the immediate past government, the government went on borrowing spree, taking over N30bn Commercial Loan and N25bn Bond.

Perhaps, if the workers had protested then, Ekiti State won’t be in the financial mess that it is today.

It is therefore in view of the realities that we can all see that we are urging the labour leaders to dialogue with the State Government with a view to resolving the current impasse. Confrontation will not work at this time!

We also wish to remind the Governor of the requests of the students, especially provision of Union Bus and payment of bursary that we presented to him and his promise to look into them as the economy of the State improves.

Comrade Obayemi Peter
President

Comrade Obasola Sunkanmi
Secretary

Comrade Adetunji Victor Senate President
Mr President, you are selfish. Your personal interest (union bus and bursary) over your parents entittlement. Where should Mr Fayose get the funds for the bus and bursary.? Heaven.?

EducationRe: A Call For Lecturers To Rebrand Themselves And Their Style Of Lecturing by nanaman(m):
Why should you blame lecturers when the education system does not even meet up to a third world standard.

Bro,education starts from kindergateen where kids would be tutored properly but its a pity, nobody is monitoring the activities of these mushroom primary schools. Let the government focus more on the young lads, owners should meet laid down rules, monitoring teams should do their job and see if things won't change. Nothing can be done from the top. You can only experience the desired change if you start correcting from below.

We all know virtually graduates of nowadays are half-baked because only few do research out of their classwork, few use the library and few try as much as possible to know something about everything. Being brilliant means, you have at least an idea about everything and not just your course.

At the Uni/poly stage,a student should not be spoon fed with everything. Research makes a student understand better .

A conversation with a final year student

Me...Submitted your file to the secretary

Him..No

Me..Why?

Him..She said, I did not include my email.

Me..Don't you have an email.?

Him..I don't have email but I have gmail.

Me..Mute and confused.

Him..You look surprised.

Me..Yes. Your gmail is your email so,I don't get what you meant.

Him...Repeated the statement.

Me..Burst into laugh. I realised, the guy can't differientiate between email and gmail

Not a joke.

I ask you, would a lecturer teach you that? No. If a student is ready to learn,he/she would do and give all it takes.

So,my brother, I know lecturers have their faults but don't put the blame solely on them.
