How are we sure that these guys are Nigerians?
Why are Ghanaians trying so hard to destroy Nigeria reputation?
Now that's the question we should be asking.
well let's wait for tomorrow their names will be out. So you think the neighbours don't know what nationals are staying next to them? For the meantime you can stay in your denial

You all seem to have the same problem: GENERALIZATION.

I'd like to see those comments you are making claims about. If they are NOT up to 10, then you have no point because it's not even up to the minutest fraction of the Nairaland population.

And don't speak for the rest of your brethren because you alone do not make up the whole of Ghana. I know of Ghanaians who spoke against the Xenophobic act on Twitter. So that's a few of your brethren who did.

Speak for yourself and don't try to act like all of Ghana is turning a blind eye to the recent happenings. At least that will make more sense.
well majority speak against both the drug dealers thats your people and the murderers that's the south Africans both of you are wrong. Go look up that post about a ghanaian supposedly shot in the legs in SA and you'd get your more than 10 people there

Liar you guys are not ashamed of him, rather you claim he's a Nigerian using Ghanaian passport.
That's how stupid and foolish you Ghanaians are.
well initially when we didn't know the name and the reason being that's what most nigerians in ghana are involved in, that's an open secret. The question is why is it nigerians? There are alot of other African nationals in ghana

Your silence or non-silence does not solve anything. The person who matters most in your country, the President, has spoken against Xenophobia, so what's your point?

By the way, this could have been done by anybody. You want to tell me Ghanaian don't commit these kinda crimes?

Y'all should really use your gray matter when typing online.
why are you people on this forum asking ghanaians to add our voices and desperately trying to involve us in this mess with fake stories? Nobody is saying ghanaians don't commit crime but unlike you we try our best to fit into the countries we migrate to and don't become a headache to our host.

do you know what your problem is when someone points something to you instead of you people to accept your faults and try to change you start playing the victim and pointing to other people's faults. Yes a Ghanaian man defrauded someone we are ashamed of him for being lazy and trying to look for an easy way out, that is not called hustle that is a crime and everyone regards him as a criminal and a bad example but can you say same about your criminals nope you rather endorse their actions that's why you keep disgracing yourselves everywhere you go. Change from your evil ways else you'd soon be banned from all countries

And what would Ghanaians do?

Nigerians are a real threat to Africa.

Nigerians are like pest, infesting anywhere they go. Very lawless, aggressive like wild animals , and indulging in all sorts of criminal activities they can think of.

Everywhere there are Nigerian immigrants , they are being hunted down like rats.

Ask yourself why?

I’m not making this up, Judy go check the facts for yourself.

What is happening in South Africa is just the beginning.
Why are you people questioning why ghanaians are not adding our voice to happenings in south Africa, it's all over this forum you keep asking that question and I simply answered that question for you it's because we know both your people and south Africans are wrong so we won't take sides.

I knew that free trade within African countries is a scam.

South Africans don't want black foreigners to have shops in their country.

Ghana put into law that before a Nigerian will open even a chemist or provision shop in Ghana the Nigerian must first pay them $300,000 US dollars.

That's a systematic way of saying we don't want Nigerians in our market. But trust Nigerians $300,000 ko $3m Ni.

But Ghana wants free trade area in Nigerian territory.

How many Ghanaian Shoemakers in Nigeria can pay us $300,000 to open a shop?

Or are we going to pretend like we don't know that foreigners like Ghanaians, Togo and Benin republic people have taken over our housing labor work?

Nigeria at the other hand has closed his borders recently, only for us to realize that we don't consume 60m liters of fuel a day. instead, we are consuming 30 something million liters a day. Which means Nigeria is paying fuel subsidy for Niger, Chad, Benin, Togo, and Ghana.

And for Nigeria, now we've closed our borders what's the essence of a free trade agreement?

We need to close our borders for life. Average Nigerian manufacturers haven't covered the whole Nigerian market let alone cover Africa. Make everybody face their country and stop this nonsense free trade until we are mature in Africa.
free trade means goods produced in your country can move across the borders of all african countries without restrictions it doesnt mean come and sell recharge card or do petty trading in Ghana. We have enough petty traders the country is too small to accommodate your traders. You can pull out of the free trade that's your problem the rest of Africa is bigger than nigeria

That cannot be regarded as incitement.. we obviously know those are just idle remarks, dont Nigerians have shoemakers and puff puff sellers in very large quantity?..
what do you mean by incitement, if you keep making the news for the bad reasons continuously na who cause am? The fact that every country in the world label you same should tell you something. If you cant leave peacefully with Ghanaians then you can't cope with anyone else in the world. As for Ghanaian media they are the loudest in Africa, you have no idea how politicians have suffered in their hands go and ask the ex president , if you decide to disturb our peace they will expose you. They are just doing their job. Everyone on Nairaland knows that most nigerians who go to Ghana go to do crime so where from this hypocrisy if their action are coming to light? I asked one guy above what he was doing in Ghana and he hasn't been able to answer. Tell yourselves the truth for once.

I understand your point, but of late the Ghanian media categorize all Nigerians as criminals while they enjoy the benefits of same Nigerians and Nigeria in their polity..

Give definitive measures to crimes not tag a people criminal just because of a miserable few, that was what the professor was trying to emphasize, and to think the govt would harp on such to advise its media accordingly, it axed the professor.

If we begin to do same to ghanaians as multiple criminal stories have been alleged against them and aswell could be made up as rumours like the ghanian media has done in previous past, would we have good news ever coming of Ghana with our dominating media?.
isn't that the same way you categorize ghanaians in nigeria as shoemakers and puff puff sellers? So basically what you are seen doing is what will be used to label you

Then arrest the criminals and leave the business people alone.

Nigeria itself is currenty facing very serious security challenges from criminal immigrant herdsmen from different parts of west africa, you don't see us going full gong ho on all of them.

Benin Republic have turned Nigeria into a dumping site for imported goods from china, but you don't see Nigerians attacking beninouise citizens doing their business here.

We have suffered more from west africa than any other nation on the bloc.

Grow up.
the ghanaian law says foreigners are to do wholesale but Nigerians are busy doing retail in Ghanaian markets, what is your population again? And what do you think will happen if we turn a blind eye to this, you can't leave your huge country to come and struggle with Ghanaians areas reserved for them we equally have an unemployment crisis in ghana you are not the only people suffering in Africa. Besides nigeria refused to sign african free trade and prevent imports from other countries but want to be allowed to compete with areas reserved for locals in their country what sort of selfishness is that. Stick to wholesale and you will not get any problem if you decide to break the law then that's your problem.everybody is protecting their market for their locals.

Secondly, wen u report crime in Ghana, start naming their tribes, alongside the criminal, since that is best practice.

i.e. Asante man rape and kill Fante woman

ur so dumb...

when did ecowas become a nation rubbish so you are now denying your nationality as nigerians abi because you have managed to destroy your image you now want to move to ecowas, my friend that will not work.

Wat have crime got to do with nationality?

Have u tried reading the crime section in Ghana, to see the evil your Ghanaian people do?

Dumb Negress.
the fact that some ghanaians commit crime doesn't mean we should allow foreigners to come and contribute to crime rate. So if you have armed robbers in nigeria does it mean you should allow Cameroonian robbers to operate in nigeria because you also have robbers what sort of nonsense reasoning is this?

Actually, we dont practice it enough.

Many of these kind of news pass without mention of their nationality.

In fact, these are the few exception.

Further, measures have to be taken to verify that the nationality is accurate before publication and also beware of fake news.

Note, Nigerians are not in the business of black listing other African countries and that is the point being made here about Ghanaians.
you practice it because the foreigners in nigeria do not commit even 1% of the crime in your country most of them are law abiding unfortunately nigerians in Ghana commit close to 50% of crime and are even introducing new forms of crimes like kidnapping in Ghana so they cannot be ignored like you ignore foreigners in your country. You can't go to anoda man's compound to disturb his peace and expect him to keep quite.

what do you mean by you don't encourage hate against others look up the link you just sent haven't you spelt out the nationality of the criminal? Isn't that what you want the ghanaian media to stop? You want them to protect the identity of nigerian criminals when arrested meanwhile that's the practice in your country you name and shame other nationals who commit crime. Your level of hypocrisy is like no other, everywhere you go people start hating you, maybe it's time to sit down, ask yourselves why and advice yourselves instead of always jumping to defence and hypocrisy mood.

I'm sure you Kenyans are also used to it by now from your thread and many others here . Narcism runs deep in that country I swear .
they have a huge problem, probably there's something wrong with their upbringing. The only means for them is criminal activities for fast cash they even make fun of people who do not do posh jobs for an honest living. The word honest living is alien to them. They have Gradually become a big problem in Africa. Sad thing is they don't see it but in the near future am sure they are going to banned from entering many countries. They have started kidnapping people in Ghana a once peaceful nation you could walk around at 1pm, we are just waiting for their greed to carry them to kidnap a politicians relative and that will be their undoing.
