A cross-section of Nigerians have told the federal government to stop its meddlesomeness and get busy with governance.

This comes on the heel of the Director-General of National Council of Arts and Culture,

Olusegun Runsewe who said that the federal government is planning its own version of Big Brother Show which would promote Nigerian culture and ideals.

Runsewe had told newsmen that the Federal government is talking to Startimes, a cable network provider in Nigeria for collaboration in a state-owned Big Brother Show.

Reacting to this, Nigerians were of the view that the government should face the issue of hunger, unemployment, and insecurity which are currently ravaging the land.

They said that Nigeria is in deep trouble as all the institutions that are designed to build a better society and enhance the quality of life of the citizens have collapsed.

According to the journalist and politician, Etim Bassey, the current federal government is confused.

He said that it as the result of the confusion that they too want to go into organizing Big Brother Naija.

According to him, there is nothing that this government would do that would succeed.

He said that any day they come out with their own version of BBN, it would fail.

“Sincerely, this government is stupid. It lacks ideas. Nigerians are hungry. Nigerians are dying on a daily basis. Unemployment has gone through the roof. But instead of trying to see how they would address these issues, they are thinking of organizing Big Brother Show, what a shame”.

Contributing Maduabuike Chijioke said that federal government just want to waste resources by trying to organize its own version of Big Brother Show,

According to him, Big Brother Naija is unequaled, adding that a replica of what is already available will be time-wasting.

“Everyday, this government is disgracing Nigerians. I want to tell them that the idea of State-owned Big Brother Show would be dead on arrival because Nigerians would not watch.

Nigerians would not subscribe to it. They should face the challenge of governance and leave Big Brothers Naija organizers alone.

22nd Nov in ghana is fake!

Nigerian musician, Burna Boy on his post on his twitter handle confirms that the "African Giant Tour " will not be happening in Ghana on the 19th of November.

Last month Burna Boy became the talk of Twitter when he referred to himself as an "African Giant" when calling out Coachella for writing his name in "tiny writing" on their official line up for this year's festival. Well, the name has stuck, and now the Nigerian "afro-fusion" artist is embarking on his very own African Giant Tour.

According to him;

Author, actor, and media personality, Toke Makinwa Condemns the glorification of suffering before you find love.

In a post shared by Snoop Dogg on Instagram, he made a re-post of a man whose wife stood by him, even when she knew all the crime he has committed, she still made him a better person.

The post condemns women who envy this woman but still, they wouldn't have done what she did.

However. Toke Makinwa, condemns this act, according to her, 'that is not the way to happiness'. she wrote;

"I am deeply tired of this narrative though, this post pissed me off soooo much, why do we like to make women look like huge jokes? why is this the way to happiness? Why must you sell the “I suffer pass” mentality? This promotes low self-esteem. Fg Budgets N150m For Nda Cemetry Construction

The Nigerian Defence Academy has budgeted a total sum of N100million for the construction of cemetry and N50million for equipping the cemetery.

The immediate-past Director of Defence Information, Defence Headquarters, Brig. Gen. John Agim (retd.) said 15 – 25 [ercent of freshers in the NDA dies during the training.



According to him, this information made it compulsory for the freshers to always sign a bond before they are being admitted.

His words:

I can assure you that we have a robust training that when you come out of it alive, you know that it is not you but God. You can go for several days without food.

And for each of our recruitments, there is a percentage expected to die during training. And this could be as much as between 15 and 25 per cent. That alone shows you that it is no play zone or a boys’ scout lifestyle.

That is why when filling a form to attend the Nigerian Defence Academy, you sign a bond that you are responsible for your decision.

The budget was said to have been included in the 2020 budget President Buhari submitted to the House of Assembly.

According to ECOWAS, It was also reported in 2017 that the Commander Danladi Angulu Kwasu died during the ‘watermanship’ training, and the court of justice requested for compensation because he died as a result of the failure to provide safety measures.

Oyo state house of Assembly approved immediate access to N7.6B meant for the development of farm estates in Akufo.

According to Oyo state governor, Seun Makinde, he has recorded another victory for his people. In a post he shared on Instagram, he revealed that the Oyo state house of assembly approved immediate access to N7.6B meant for the development of farm estates in Akufo and Eruwa farm settlement in Oyo state.

He stated that the battle started from the judiciary to the legislature. he explained how he had applied to the Oyo state high court to get an injunction restraining the previous administration from accessing these funds, a few days to the end of their tenure.

According to him, the previous administration borrowed the money from the CBN for the purchase of “agricultural equipment” which they wanted to purchase towards the end of their tenure and that Oyo State has already started repaying the loan which they had been unable to access until now.

The governor said that the farm estates will serve as pilots of their Private Public Development Partnership (PPDP) Farm Estates and will eventually generate funds to develop the other seven farm settlements in Oyo State. According to him, this is a deliberate plan aimed at creating sustainable development in the state.
