The difference is that UGM can no longer confidently commit such atrocity in the open in Imo again unlike Anambra. The killing of the soldiers happened in an isolated area. Since this year there has not been any attack in Owerri. The only area in Imo that is a soft target to UGM is Orlu zone and when UGM attacks, there is a swift response from the military which leads to neutralization of non state actors. In 90% of the time UGM attacks fail. UGM can no longer confidently attack anywhere in Imo again.
When Imo was boiling, some Anambranians were insulting Imo, they called Imo names. They made statements like: Fulani governor, Fulani state, some even said ," as long as it's Imo boiling it doesn't concern them." They were adding salt to the wounds of Imo while lives were being lost.
The fact is that "some" Anambranians were happy that Imo was boiling.
That period Imo needed a sort of emotional support from brotherly states instead they were mocked especially from most Anambranians. If it was Hope Uzodimma that visited Kanu, they would have invented another mocking to suit their narrative.
Now it's happening in Anambra, you won't hear Imo mocking Anambra or their Governor rather we are sympathising with Anambra and pray that peace will be restored.

Hope Uzodimma is the only Governor who is determined to end the scourge of UGM, believe it or not. Few days ago gunmen numbering over 50 were seen with AK47 matching on the streets of ABA, this cant just happen in Owerri or even Imo state again. They no born any gunmen to confidently cause chaos in Owerri without immediate intervention from the military. Since this year there has not been any attack in Owerri. Orlu is the only region in Imo that experiences UGM activities once in a while and in 90 % of the time the UGM are liquidated or arrested.
When UGM were engaging in Arson in Orlu, the military will retaliate and track the houses of IPOB ESN sponsors and burn it down. The government in Imo opted for FIRE FOR FIRE approach, they went heavy on those guys. Though some innocent people lost their lives but there is no war that doesn't have collateral damage.
During that period, people insulted Hope Uzodimma, especially Igbos from other states, they accused in of being the sponsor of UGM, thats ridiculous. The only language UGM understand is violence, no matter of dialogue will make these fools stop.
The south east governors should forget partisan politics, party affiliation and work together in order to end this scourge on the south east.

Continue exonerating your state. Imo is too educated and busy to engage in unscrupulous activities. Just a few isolated areas of Orlu are the only parts in Imo experiencing insecurity and it's currently being tackled and insecurity is gradually reducing. Imo is more peaceful than ever, Owerri rarely experience sit at home because Imolites are too busy. Even though majority of the criminals in Orlu are from ihiala indigenes, Imo has/will never stereotype any state.
Limiting the cause of Insecurity in Anambra to other states is one of the reasons the problem will not solved.

NBC can't go contrary to the findings of the supreme court. They will now use the findings of the court to formalize the boundary otherwise it will be exercise in futility.

The same way it is easy to bribe those Judges. It is the jurisdiction of NBC to demarcate boundaries not the supreme court. The supreme court can only act based on the report of the NBC.
The court was in a hurry to cede the oil wells to Rivers state. However, Imo state can still savage the situation given that NBC has not made a proper demarcation. Wike should not rejoice yet

Which one is lie? Imo has about 163 oil wells excluding the oil wells in contention. The 17 oil wells in contention are very close to Imo state. In fact they are between Imo and Rivers state. The boundaries are not clearly defined. Imo state is also affected by the environmental hazard of those oil wells. I think that the National Boundary Commission should have been the best to put an end to the dispute.

Owerri is beautiful and it's the most planned city in South East. The problem Owerri has is waste Management and good roads, though their current governor is trying in road construction but still has a lot to do. If Owerri has the kind of roads Enugu has ,Owerri will beat Enugu hands down because Owerri has better structures, aesthetics and buildings. New Owerri is most beautiful avenue in South East but general Owerri is still fine but waste management and roads are its major problem.

I wonder where you got your facts . It's Imo that had the highest gas reserve in Africa. Nigeria has 209tcf, Imo alone has about 202, other states like Akwa ibom, Abia are possess the remaining.
Anambra does not have gas even if Anambra has, it's minute or negligible. The minister of Petroleum confirmed that Imo has the largest gas reserve in Africa.
