Confession time!!! grin

Kickstarting my investment journey in the NGX is one of the best decisions I made this year.

I discovered that my appetite for irrational spending has drastically reduced.

I now find myself thinking like an investor. Spending quality time to research about companies and also investing where necessary.

This is a significant achievement for me, honestly!

Thank you all for the daily reports, analysis, and contribution. I always find them helpful.

In addition or alternative to Registering on Registrars portals for E-Dividend mandate, you can also register on the E-DMMs portal launched by SEC in July to mandate your E-Dividends.

Here's the SEC link:
https://sec.gov.ng/revamped-e-dividend-mandate-management-system-portal/

You can contact them if you need more clarifications or you have enquiries.
Thank you so much!

Yes. You will need to fill a Registrar's form for the stocks you have as a beginner, submit and get confirmation that your form has been mandated to receive dividends.

A good thing now is that, you may not need to fill different Registrar's form because of the automated window adopted by SEC now.
You details can always be picked by other Registrars for payment of future dividends to you.

Another good thing is that, some Registrars now have online E-Dividend Activation Form which you can fill and submit online on their portal.......AFRIPRUD, APEL, part of them.
Thank you so much

I really appreciate this.

Please, on which platform do you monitor stock prices live?
The ones available to me at the moment appear to delay updates for 60minutes.

Merci

My heartfelt gratitude goes to everyone who've kept this thread very impactful over the years.

I stumbled upon this thread almost a month ago, and I've really learnt a lot here. I cannot thank you enough!!

I just registered with Morgan Capital last week and I've gotten my login details.

Please, I have a question.

I'd like to invest in dividend-paying stock such as presco.

Please, how do I claim my dividend when it's being issued?

Do I need to fill any form or it will be automatically sent to my bank account?

Thanks in anticipation

With recent trends, the average duration is 5 to 9 weeks, unless your work has an error.

Using myself as an example, I went for my capturing on September 27.

And after waiting till last Monday (December 18), I decided to contact one of their officers to find out why it took that long, and lo and behold, he showed me my passport.

It has been printed since November 18 (that's approximately 6 weeks after my capturing). However, I couldn't collect it because I was told that there's an error on it, which will be corrected immediately after the yuletide.

Will go back there first week in January to pick up my passport.

This is my advise for anyone who intends to apply or just applied.

Don't rely on the online tracker.

Go to the passport office 6 weeks after your capturing.

There's high chances that your passport has been produced.
Finally, I've been able to collect my passport today!!!

Thank you everyone!!!!!

I'm confused about the payment receipt, that one will be given to me at the immigration office right including the appointment slip and application form or do I get them somewhere first before going to the office.
Sorry for bothering you.
The payment receipt is generated immediately after you make payment online
