then it's his fault na. Strasbourg has a good goalscorer, signed another one recently and may add Wahi to their arsenal no way he doesn't get more assists and becomes better creatively. Or u do think he can't boss it in ligue 1 even in a squad like Strasbourg instead of staying and be like 5th or 6th winger in Chelsea
Then it's his fault? You guys that dehumanize young footballers

He's freaking 18. At 18, you were probably just getting the license from your Popsie to go check your JAMB exam result by yourself.

What were you doing for yourself, by yourself, at 18?

Ur fuming when no be sign the player, no be scout the player. I literally posted on this thread how signing of Angelo came about and what was in the deal. Nothing like fuming self, u should be excited if he does well in ligue 1 and gets the goals and returns to Chelsea with much more experience
And if he doesn't?

Potter wasn't our coach by this time last season. We've been told we were worse off than by this time last season when your mcm was here.
Yes I said that. But it's not because he was a bad coach. That's what A001 is trying to say. He's a top manager.

Casadei is CAM and not defensive midfielder.
True. But a bit more tenacity will help. Gallagher is also not a DM.

No player has played in more positions this PS than Ian Maatsen. Maatsen is currently playing in the 10 position.

I was trying not to say this but yes, he's been slow in changing direction and on the half turn. It seems he's not suited for deep positions.

loan means he gets to play consistently and develop
Loan could also mean he's shipped out to a shitty team and trains with sub-par talents and coaching that stagnates his development.

Not watching.
Silva header from corner kick for first goal. Nkunku the second.

Enzo could have scored the second goal earlier. He missed a sitter and a rebound sitter.

No I disagree you can't have opinions on players based on random short comps, you have to watch the player regularly to have any accurate opinion.

Comps made Pepe, Bakayoko looked like world beaters, so whatever you saw from the comp might not tell you the full picture of what a player is both the good & bad.

I saw a stat that said Caicedo lost more balls per 90 last season than Gallagher, one is called a dog & the other is a dm, so should we not buy Caicedo again because he might sometimes have misplaced passes.

if you don't watch a player it is better to read reports on him or ask from people that have watched him say than to have a half-baked opinion from a random out of context comp.
Ibime and I were one of the very few that opposed the Bakayoko deal based on the failure of the eye-test for technique. You don't need to watch a player for donkey years to see technique.

What you are trying to pass across is how a player responds to varying tactical scenarios. This you cannot assess in 3 min comps. But this has got nothing to do with technique.

What we are worried about is how he fares in the PL, in presumably quicker, tighter tactical setups than Ligue 1. And a DM with loose technique is potentially devastating in the PL, because more often than not, he's losing the ball in the most dangerous part of the pitch.

According to the report coming from Brazil Chelsea and other clubs in Europe scouted André Trindade (DM, Fluminense).

Fluminense owns 100% of André, but 10% of the sell will go to André and his agent. Fluminense wants at least 25M€ for 80% want to keep the rem 20%

Brighton go see shege😂😂😂😂😂
Me I was coming here to hype this guy. I didn't realise you've seen it as well.

Now this is one DM I look at and go, get me that one.

We need to get out of this £80m market. For me, £60m is already too much money to Brighton....again. Let's stop this whole Caicedo nonsense and scout undiscovered talent.

Andre Trindade, Andre Santos and the Ogochukwu guy should be enough DM cover for the season.

Lmaooo somebody that you don't watch, you didn't even know he exists yesterday, and you already have this opinion already after probably watching a 3 mins comp.😭😭😭

Normally you be dm expert oo, but you can't always be right Hojberg proves that.
Actually, the 3 min comp tells a lot. It's all you need to assess high-level or low-level technique. When you watch a DM, and the first touch on the first clip doesn't make you go 'damnnn!'....then most times, it's not it.

Yes we don't watch him, but I look at him and I don't see 'elite' footballer. I see Zakariya/Onana-level things.

I had never heard of Jackson. But the first clip I saw, I called him a total footballer. This one is different. Yes he's only 19 but your technique almost never improves with age unfortunately.

I hope I am wrong but when I see footballers who have loose tight-space control, then their propensity to flourish in the PL immediately diminishes in my eyes.

Maybe he solves a tactical problem but certainly, at this point, he doesn't improve us. This one is going on the 'not-excited' list.

All these loan talks for Casadei,Santos,Angelo Gabriel and Ian maatsen is what l don't understand.

Why sign cherki when you have these budding talents.
Only a few days ago, I was saying to Airmark that Angelo is THE ONE of the newest recruits to look out for. And this is in no way to say the likes of Santos and Casadei, and Jackson are not brilliant in their own rights. I think it's pretty amazing, what we've done in recruitment in the last 12 months.

nateevs:
This is exactly what I am mostly looking forward to.

Nkunku, Jackson,Mudryk, Madueke. If rumours are to be believed, Cherki and Franca. And then there's apparently Diego Morreira and Gabriel Angelo who I hear are joining the squad. Now that's a surprise.

Talking about prospects, Gabriel Angelo is the one I am really looking forward to

Chelsea would be silly to get rid of this boy
Humphreys is seen in the same light as Colwill. Bi think he will stay, considering the injury to Fofana. Been following him for a while now. Which is why I never understood the Fofana deal.

It is similar to having Maatsen on loan and then going to buy Cucurella. Been calling for Maatsen for 3 seasons now. We could have saved £150m and not fared any worse in the league.

Ballzproblem2:
porti are struggling to find club that will trigger diogo Costa (gk) £75m release clause.

they're currently having some financial issues.

borussia Dortmund are complaining because of lack of sales , despite Bellingham £88m move to Madrid

what do this club have in common? they set their price target to high.

setting £100m price tag on players is not sustainable in the long run.

there's a reason Leipzig set affordable clause for for nkunku and Dominik, people think they are dumb but they're just happy with their decent profit.

Brighton, Dortmund, benfica take note.
One thing though. Timing. We are only lucky we bought Nkunku before this whole £100m craze started. If we were trying to buy him now, no way we get away with £50m.

Rayan cherki that is injury prone and a shakushaku merchant? Real madrid tracked him before leaving him to sign guler. Our priorities should be the midfield and a good goalscorer.
How is he injury prone? Are you saying this from facts? Dude is 19 years old and already has 83 apps for the senior team in 3 seasons.
