Sarris biggest mistake today is not playing Emerson over Alonso. The stubborn man deserves a kinks for that.
Sarri must keep all options for scoring goals on the pitch, including Alonso, seeing as we are only likely to score from an individual effort, than a well worked goal. I am not sure that Alonso is not right for the game.

I think we need more of a persistent centre forward, even if Pedro, than we do Emerson. Plus Barkley just needs to go and sit down mehn. Just very average.

We can't pay like this. We should play with a target man at least, no matter how poor. Spurs are very organised at the back and Hazard is not creating persistent central presence.

That means Huddon-Odoi must be £50m.

BTW, this indicates Wilson might be on his way.
And clearly we can see why the Pulisic deal cost that much. Untested substitutes of the main substitutes costing £19m upwards.
This market needs a bust.

What I am saying is captured below.
Perhaps my previous posts needs some reconstruction. The premise was not to show that diversification cannot fail as nothing is fool-proof, especially if done wrongly. The point was to show that you are better off divesting and more often than not, there is success, if done right. You would see that the whole point I was making is encapsulated in these few words.

Diversification is not necessarily becoming a major player across several sectors. It's investing just enough to not distract you from your main business but enough to ensure okadas and agebros don't make you going back to ground zero.

The whole point was to offer hope and not fear to those who are considering venturing into business and points to consider in the preservation of wealth.

I will argue that it depends, Diversification have failed and led to the collapse of many organization just as much as staying in the core business have failed others

Its just the vagaries of business and no one is certain which one is sure.

If you have a Nigeria where some years back we had no local capacity for rice production, it seems perfectly ok to go balls deep into it even with 200M,
Than risking on another new sector you arent sure of

The bulk of Otedola, Danjuma money was made from Oil and they have kept faith with it, Jim Ovia, Elumelu made most of theirs in banking/Asset management and have kept faith with it

Zuckerbeg made his from Social media, Gates/Jobs made from Software development. They arent big players in finance or Real estate or Shipping
Unfortunately, you don't have evidence for everything you have said. I am interested to see research and/or evidence that shows diversification of wealth as the primary reason for total collapse. There may be other factors you are not privy to.

You only know what is reported. I bet you are likely to find that when sh!t hits the fan, wealth depreciation is what happens to these sorts of people, not total collapse. They are probably board members and majority shareholders on a ton of many other companies across several sectors. These moves never get reported.

Meanwhile there is a plethora of examples where failure to diversify have killed big companies, let alone a small ones.

Diversification is not necessarily becoming a major player across several sectors. It's investing just enough to not distract you from your main business but enough to ensure okadas and agebros don't make you going back to ground zeros.

The description of yourself doesn't even sound like you will have an easy ride in business. Even if all the stars align. If you have a short attention span like me and can't study for 4hrs, Now think of what t takes to run a business. All the top guys you see in Business Otedola, Dangote Adenuga etc all employ hundred of first class who stay beyond 4hrs attention span planning every detail in the business

The discipline an Alaba merchant has not to touch the 1M in his account but to find ways of getting it for cheaper and make more margins, despite all these he can borrow, ship from China, do everything right and just 2 days to his goods ariving and him becomng a billionaire,
Buhari bans the importation of rice, One Ibo Okadaman knocks down an Agbero and Agberos descend on his 200M rice container or discover he was sold fake goods
This brings me back to my point. Wealth preservation and diversification may be the other personal skills that need working on. While growing a 200M business in rice is admirable, having all 200M in rice alone must be the first scary thing for a business man.

I run a fully blown Ltd company and I make it a principle to divest to sectors that are not the primary business of the company, upon achieving a certain financial goal (and it applies personally). Now while I am not preaching this as a road to eternal success, it sure means that it will take many Okadas and agberos in different parts of the world at the exact same time to crash everything.

It's not the business making, it's the decision making.

When we were in University, After out year 4 IT, we came back and many of us made decent money for an Undergrad. While most of us invested it in alcohol, clothes and tushing your room or even buy a car, I had a friend who told us the 80K he made from IT he will use as the bedrock of his business and become a millionaire

He disciplined himself so much, I remember him telling me that why do you need to eat meat? Its just wasting money that could be invested, "Dayo, You are already an adult, you dont need much proteins to grow like children, yet you buy 3-4meat drink beer, and 8hrs later you go shitt am throway and N500 gone"
He started with phone kiosks, later computers doing business center, later cyber cafes later agriculture buying from Village selling in cities.

By the time we were in NYSC just 2yrs later he has turned the 80K to over 6M. By that time he looked like he was the wise one and we are extremely foolish juveniles

After school he continued his business never applied for any job. like 4yrs later the same business he grew up to over 15M crashed and left him with Zero

He almost ran mad

Do you know how many people in business have similar stories?

Otedola I heard had to put Zenon oil for bankruptcy because his oil prices crashed when his fleet were still on the sea. The same business he did for years and became a billionaire
You are talking about the difference between running a business and wealth preservation. You are not advocating that people choose regular 9-to-5s over business right? Because I can give 100 bad stories of people who have had long-life careers and have ended up poor. There is no empirical evidence to support that going into business makes life riskier for you than being in a job.

There are probably just as many people crashing and burning in regular jobs as there are in business. Especially in unstable economies like Nigeria's.

I have found out that many people will find comfort in what makes their daily bread and will offer advise based on this comfort zone, which is what they assume is the road to success. They will also spread fear of travel on the other route because of lack of knowledge or some 5 people they know who failed.

There several elements to business making. While prudence may be admired and make get you to make some money, being a poor people manager, poor investment sense, poor sales skills and management, poor client retention, fear of risk-taking, unwillingness to adopt technology and general lack of market awareness may make you crash. Just like a 9 to 5, it is most likely not the business itself that runs the man down, it's most times a lack of a certain skill and/or failure to acquire it in some capacity that runs the man down.

Let's be cautious about spreading fear and refer people to those who have experience in fields where our knowledge is not as robust.

Ramsey better pass Kovacic
Better at goal scoring that's all. He's not as technical and I don't believe he is as defensive minded as Kovacic. Kovacic is naturally a deep lying midfielder. So very defensively aware.

Also, in another system, having Ramsey will be of great advantage. In Sarri's system, his strong abilities will be severely curtailed as the majority of play is in providing the triangles and passages of play through the channels, to the opposition box.

Eruditor,

I think what you are meaning to put across is how a secondary attribute can aid supreme application of a primary attribute. It doesn't mean the secondary attribute is the talent itself.

The others are saying the word talent cannot be used to describe an attribute that cannot be trained.

I think where the mistake is, is the putting all attributes under the same classification. It is incorrect to reach that conclusion.

Without sounding smug, it is something I have known for a while. In fact, I think the article describes only a fraction of what Google controls. To truly understand this, find some under-g articles on GCHQ, you might get an idea. It's not easy to continue to foil terrorist plots well in advance of the scheduled times of occurrence. In these times, these guys can hit a button and play God. Literally.

And yes I agree with you. It is scary. But scary to me for a different reason. Scary, because of what could happen, if that much power falls in the wrong hands.

the netspend is important as it is factored into the next season transfer budget for the manager,at least this is done in football manager and ML.the only exception is when the manager has access to a cash cow but this isnt possible in ML.why do you think small clubs like fulham, stoke dont go about signing the 60m,70m players?.
Secondly,I am shocked that u just whitewashed my opinion simply because i am a blue, that in itself is the height of stupid hasty conclusions
All this net spend talk is just talk for people to feel fancy about. Only fans bother themselves with these terms to feel smart. In actual terms, the value of spend is reported in the club's books over the length of the signed contract. So City might sign a player for £60m on a 6-year term and Chelsea sign a player for £50m on a 5-year term in the same window. If both clubs do not sell a player in the that window, net spend doesn't equal +£10m in Chelsea's favour, both clubs will report £10m for that year on their books. So net spend talk is useless in this instance.
